I would like to give a higher rating as the hotel is much more than capable. However the smallest but most significant attention surely does let it down. This is my constructive opinion. The Panoramic Suite is a beautiful room, clean, beautifully situated and well maintained. The Roof Top restaurant has the most amazing views (lunchtime especially) and the food is very good. The staff on reception are generally helpful and the restaurant staff are excellent and attentive. However the smaller requests that mount up to its negativity lets the service of this hotel down in my opinion. When asking for an additional towel I am refused, when asking for English breakfast tea bags for the room I am refused. When requesting ice because the fridge in the room does not work properly, it is frowned upon. When asking for the fridge to be fixed or replaced I am told it should only work at 10% and should not be cold (well this is a surprise on a hot island!). The taxi rates are to be desired from the hotel reception, as from one day to the next I receive different quotes (which creates a trust issue). One major issue is road noise, (even with ear plugs), it is constant and does disturb a good night's sleep. There is also heavy duty clearance happening on the other side of the hotel (I assume more building works) which starts from 7.30am,. Ocean V really can reach it's limit of excellence if it can release some of the restrictions made by the staff / Management. This is my second time visiting the beautiful Island so I know how it was and how it really should be.

A special mention to Sooraj 1 & Sooraj 2 at the restaurant, always making sure you feel spoiled, seen, and at home. Need a ride? Just ask at the front desk. They work with a professional taxi service: smooth, reliable, no stress. And then there’s Yash, adding a touch of poetry to your room by turning towels into animals. Every evening, a new surprise. It’s such a simple gesture, yet it made me smile every time. Actually, my smile never really left during the entire stay. Ocean V isn’t just a hotel, it’s a mood, a moment, a memory I gifted to myself. And one I’ll cherish for a long time. THANK YOU !

MaltaRoom was comfortable but the shower had a poor design where water would spill all over the bathroom floor when washing. This was solved by placing a towel to soak up the escaping water. Minor inconvenience but not a big deal.
Very beautiful lobby and roof area. The pool and main restaurant are located on the top floor where you get a stunning view of the beach across the road and get to view beautiful sunsets.

South AfricaThe breakfast was okay... it could do with some variety. Mostly the same fruits and pastries each day. Became a bit boring especially when you're staying for 7 days. I expected a greater variety of fruits as so many different tropical fruits are available on the island. The crepes were tasty but to serve crepes for breakfast and then again for afternoon tea every day was a bit much.
Excellent location. 5 minutes walk from Perybere beach as well as a selection of really great restaurants. Short bus ride to Grand Baie. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was on the second floor - lovely with a fabulous view of the ocean.

South AfricaAir condition in the bathroom didnt seem to work during the day. It created an unpleasant smell for the first few minutes until we opened all sliding doors for fresh air. There is a window but unfortuantely its sealed, perhaps they can put one which can be opened. Also can they fix side staircases so that people dont walk through the restuarant after swimming. Lastly, can they have umbrellas by the pool, sun was unbearable midday.
Service was excellent, views were good and place is very clean. Breakfast was good and l enjoyed Teppanyaki at Manzu, chef Wang is awesome.

AustraliaHotel it self was good. But service in restaurant and bar could be better .young lads . Forget things. You have to ask for coffee and butter and if you want eggs. Sometimes they forget the butter or get coffee wrong . No milk . But older men are better. And at bar the barman sometimes not there so bit of wait. younger guys there making drinks won't serve you.

IndiaVery limited vegeterian options in rooftop dinner. Teppanyaki dinner has to be booked in advance which we did but someone forgot to note it down which caused some commotion. But later, the management did arrange it at a short notice for which we are greatful.
Huge rooms, great for couples, spa seemed nice and helpful staff. Highlight of our stay was thr Teppanyaki live grill which was fun.

The hotel is kept clean and staff are very friendly. You feel so very welcome from day 1 until check out. The beach is within a walking distance and the bus stop is just outside the hotel if you want to visit La Croisette mall. The dinner food was tasty, especially their lamb shank - the best I have tasted. Thanks to the breakfast team, although the breakfast choices remain the same, they somehow make up for that as they are always pleasant 😊

RomaniaGreat hotel in the second row from the beach with a very comfortable room with a nice view of the sea if you stay in a higher floor (they were nice to change the room to a higher floor for the last 2 nights of the stay which was marvellous). Nevertheless, you could still use the infinity pool on the roof and have the same nice view. The buffet breakfast was very good on the top floor. We recommend staying here.
