How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewSpecial thanks to Kooshal RAMDOSS who delivered professional customer service @ the front office counter. He was very knowledgeable and clear about the check-in and check-out procedures. Moreover, he was extremely polite, humble and proactive, he even went to the extra mile by personally disembarking all of our heavy luggages off the car upon arrival and promptly carrying our luggages back to the car on our departure with a smile. Many thanks to the Kids Club staff, my child enjoyed playing board games very much.
I wish to highlight the potential hazard of the pool border/ wall which is located too close to the ending extremity of the tunnel/slide especially when multiple children are dashing out one after another with risk of collisions with those splashing nearby. Lifeguards’ permanent presence is required @ the pool tunnel/slide! Some lifeguards did great monitoring the children in taking turns but at times parents had to intervene especially at shift change. Food choices were limited and mostly the same throughout our stay.

Breakfast ended early (10:00) and many items were gone before that. The beach was not very nice. Almost everything required a reservation. The bathroom had a slight odor.

Verified reviewLoved how modern this property felt. Good to have two swimming pools and it's a fun hotel with lots of entertainment and daytime activities. We loved the gym and I had the gym studio room to myself to practice some yoga which was amazing We went to the gym before dinner and before breakfast and helpful that they have the water machine in the gym and gym towels There's also an outside jacuzzi which is lovely. The buffet dinner was incredible! Me and my Mauritian cousin loved that they also did veggie sushi as well as Mauritian cuisine classics. I wish they did some Dahl puri and gateau Piment (chilli cakes) though as that would be a special treat! The breakfast was also lovely and nice you can sit indoors or outdoors. We had a gorgeous view of the creek and palm trees and asked for a quiet room as I arrived from London that day. The evening entertainment was amazing! Incredible dancers and a brilliant DJ. Great to have music by the pool during the day. Room was lovely and nice you had eco friendly complimentary water bottles in the room.
As we didn't have the drinks package due to not booking all inclusive and just half board (breakfast and dinner) we didn't realise that this meant we had to buy water for our dinner. This should be made more clearer when booking. Neither me or my cousin drink alcohol so it wouldn't make sense for us to buy all inclusive when we're happy just drinking water. The team were supportive and organised water for our dinner table. We were aware that we weren't able to bring our own bottles of water from outside so we respected this rule. I think those on half board should at least have access to drinking water during their stay without having to pay for this -especially as it's hot weather Due to its location it doesn't have access to one of the best beaches but it's nice that there are sunbeds on the shore of the creek. The outside area is still very welcoming and although this is shared with a public beach it was very peaceful and nice that it wasn't over crowded. I didn't mind not being at one of the best beaches as I knew I would visit Flic en Flac during my trip. We still had a relaxing and special stay at Ocean's Creek and I loved how reasonable the price was for one night on a Saturday night (about £130 half board for two adults)

The one thing i didnt like is the loud music and animation by the pool playing all day penetrating your room even with doors close and it was also very crowded around in and around the pool. They also put a little loud music during breakfast a moment one would prefer tranquility. The above was disturbing. If you want a calm amd relaxing place, I dont suggest. I dont mean to offend but i am just being honest.

Verified reviewThe hotel had a really great and fun vibe at the pool - nice and tasteful music playing, and the pool bar was really fun and something we've not seen at other hotels in Mauritius yet. The family room had a great setup- we especially enjoyed the little sitting area, shower and bath setup, and the kids lived the bunk beds. The room was decorated very tastefully and overall the room was very quiet. We were situated at the far end of the hotel, so we found the room to be extremely quiet, but in addition, I do suspect the sliding doors leading out to the balcony are soundproof too, which added to the appeal of the room. It was very convenient to be able to order room service all day, as our kids are always hungry! We also loved how much shade there was around the pool all day, facilitated by a combination of strategically placed umbrellas and day beds, as well as plenty of tall trees. The kids club was probably also the most entertaining kids club we've encountered in Mauritius - and the fact that it had such a large indoor area (with aircon!) and a variety of activities for toddlers, made it a very fun hangout place for the kids. We will definitely consider coming back for another 2-night stay.
My husband didn't enjoy how soft the bed was, but I think the mattress topper could easily be removed. The alcoholic drinks were great, but food was OK- not bad, but probably only a 6 or 7 / 10. It was a bit annoying that we could only start swimming after 9 each day - as the kids were already up by 6am every morning!!
