No secure parking, only road side. Had to carry the luggage to the 2nd floor - no lift

We only used the room to shower before we went to the airport. For this we were satisfied with the room size and shower/bathroom facilities. The area around the guesthouse is quiet and there are a couple of decent restaurants and the GSR supermarket is nearby.

Basic, cheap and cheerful

Our flights changed and we had to find somewhere at the last minute, glad we were able to book and at to hotel so quickly. All the taxi drivers knew location, told us very popular transit hotel. Owner was very helpful, location was great was able to walk to beach and local market, very quiet residential area. No card payment - need to pay in cash, with local currency.

No fridge, fan or AC. No hot water in handbasin or shower. Could do with 2 pillows and thicker bedcover.

Bright small room with sea view. Bathroom very tiny. Owner friendly. Carpark on street outside entrance. Lots food places in walking distance. Creole cafe very good.

Didn't enjoy the definite cigarette smoke in the stairwell that made its way to the room as well as the light through the upper door glass panel.

The room was clean and provided all that was needed for an overnight stay upon a late airport arrival and was a great location for a short commute. We were provided with two bottles of drinking water.

Good value for the price as we stayed just one night on our way to the airport. Close to the bus station, near the coast.

1)The facilities didn't fully match the description on booking.com. The booking page talked about a Sea facing room with AC. The room offered us was a Sea facing room with a fan. Since we only spent one night and reached in the late evening, this wasn't an issue but it would've been very hot during the day. The staff did offer to switch us to an AC room, but that room was not Sea facing. 2) Booking.com gave us an EUR price and asked us to make the payment on site. A staff member messaged us on Whatsapp to check if we needed an airport transfer and he confirmed that we could pay in either EUR or MUR. We converted our local currency to EUR specially for the occasion but the staff on site refused to take EUR, stating conversion issues. This policy should be communicated clearly on the booking page and in personal communication with guests.

Close to the airport, the centre of Mahebourg et la gare d’autobus. Petits restaurants à proximité avec de la nourriture locale. Staff very helpful about local knowledge like how to get to the airport by local buses. Cheap, abundant breakfast. Room small, but comfortable with private shower and toilet. Wifi in the room.
