Staff very nice, facilities, activities, meals

Very noisy at night, with dogs barking loudly for a good part of the night

The people and the whole experience itself is definitely worth it. I’d definitely like to come back again.

We had a fantastic couple of nights here (2 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 12). The whole team are amazing and the set up is super cool! The lunch food was sensational and it was great to do the boat trip to the gorgeous island and kayak to the waterfall. Our tent was very comfortable and finally we loved the chilled vibe around the campfire in the evening. We would highly recommend this place.

Our two-night stay at Otentic was an absolute highlight and the perfect way to end our trip to Mauritius. The experience met every one of our expectations, and I truly wish we could have stayed longer. The food was a particular standout—both the breakfast and dinner were amazing and felt like great value for money. We also loved the unique self-service/honesty bar concept, which created a wonderful sense of trust and community. Even though it was a cold and windy time, our tent was incredibly cozy and the temperature was just right. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but we do have a small suggestion that could further enhance the experience. Since it was a cold and windy period, the outdoor activities like kayaking and visiting the nearby island weren't ideal for us. We think the property has great potential for alternative day/ evening activities, such as a cooking class, trivia night, or a bonfire with s'mores. A great solution we found was to use our car to explore the local area, which made for a well-spent day. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this lovely eco-lodge.

I loved everything about Otentic. The surroundings are magical and brought a lot of inspiration. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were wonderful.

The staff is incredibly friendly and open hearted, it feels familiar right from the start. There are a lot of activities included and if you have at least one meal a day, the alcohol free drinks are included.

An incredible place all-round; from super kind staff who make the stay even more special, to awesome, comfortable tents with very comfy beds and linens, to great food. I cannot recommend this place enough, and I think it's a must-visit place on the map of Mauritius. We are in love with Otentic and can't wait to be back!

Tents a bit close together and a bit noisy at night but that’s all

A great experience - the food is delicious & great value, we enjoyed the range of activities - the kayaking, boat trip to Les Cerfs & boules, archery. We also tried all the homemade flavoured rums. The tents were very comfortable & outside bathrooms were fun.

Nothing that could be controlled - the weather was windy but we knew that before we went.

It’s so beautiful, very relaxing and everyone is very friendly.

We found it a little pricey

The place in midst of nature, beside a river. with open tree filled areas to relax , kayaking in the revive available fr free, breakfast is good

No dedicated area fr drying clothes,laundry service (but can live without it)

Great food and relaxed atmosphere. There are a number of activities that are available which was great, especially the kayaks. Tents were spacious and clean. Would recommend.

Can be a little loud at night but wouldn't put us off coming back.

I loved the concept of the tents and the small community spending time together in the common area. Loved the open bar concept and the game room. The activities available were interesting and well-thought of. We enjoyed kayaking to the waterfall. There were monkeys and different types of birds. The atmosphere was really nice. The staff were welcoming. Their menu had interesting options of Mauritian food, but we wanted to try a local snack and didn't have what Otentic offered for lunch and dinner. It's definitely a different vibe compared to going to a hotel and it's totally worth it. Overall, we had a fun weekend and recommended it to our friends already.

I would suggest going during summer since the pool wasn't a heated one- ofc the camping concept doesn't include that haha. That would have been great tho. The grass cutting on Sunday was very loud and disturbing. We weren't aware of it happening and wanted to rest else we would have planned our day differently :(

What a perfect stay at Otentic. We were first welcomed by a very friendly staff that made us feel the authentic Mauritian spirit of the place with a touch of eco-chic vibes. The value for money is really excellent as the meals and drinks were of incredible quality and the activities on site (free kayak to the nearby fall, free boat trip to a picture-perfect beach on Ile aux Cerfs) worth the stop on our tour of the island. Can't recommend enough!

Great setting with the safari tents, simple but effective and in full harmony with nature. Food was simply fantastic, Mauritian food home cooked, location right on the river with access to kayaks and boats.

We had a wonderful stay, feeling completely at ease and welcomed from the very first moment. The eco lodge is beautifully designed, offering exceptional comfort in a stunning natural setting. The friendly and attentive staff make this place truly special, the food deserves a special mention for its quality and taste. No doubt we would come back again.

The staff were very friendly and responsive. Thanks to them the stay felt like home. Food was amazing. All the activities like shuttle to Île aux Cerfs, kayaking was organized and explained perfectly. The tent was very comfortable and with beautiful view. We’ve been here only one night but now there are memories for a year ahead)

A lot of mosquitoes. It’s explainable because tents are near the river. And it is impossible to get rid of them completely, so this is just a reminder to take more mosquito repellents with you

It was a Buffet Breakfast and lunch which was fresh and enough with good Tast. the vibe of Otentic is very relaxing and friendly
