How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewI had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms were very spacious, and to my delight, I was upgraded to a front sea view room — waking up to the ocean every morning was truly special. The location couldn’t be better, with the beach just across the street, making it so easy to take a quick swim or relax by the water before getting back to work. On top of the perfect location, the hotel itself offered great facilities. I really enjoyed using the swimming pool, sauna, and hammam room — they made it so easy to unwind after a busy day. The area is lively and full of excellent restaurants within walking distance, offering plenty of variety for dining. On top of that, Grande Baie is nearby, where there are so many fun water activities to try — from boat trips to snorkeling and more. Overall, it’s the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and a stunning setting. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Verified reviewKind and professional staff, nice spa, good breakfast, private parking. Thank you!
On the main road, so a bit noisy, but very practical for getting around.

Verified reviewThis is a small family run hotel with helpful and friendly staff. I had the executive suite a very large sitting room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom in the eves of the roof and with a good sized balcony. Hot water , nice towels, slippers and a fully equipped kitchen but no oven. The roof top pool is nice as was the gym - both were both very quiet. Breakfast is a continental style affair. Not a great deal of variety but the ladies certainly know how to cook a fresh egg, any way you choose. The receptionist was extremely helpful in allowing me both an early check-in and late checkout as they weren't full. The tour organiser had the cheapest boat cruise available which was good too.
The room was very spacious but was a little gloomy with no accessible window in the bedroom. Sadly no views from the balcony or roof top facilities and only terrestrial TV with no YouTube or Netflix but these are minor issues really.

Verified reviewI had a wonderful stay at Pereybere Hotel & Spa. Ivan, from the Guest Relations department, went above and beyond to make sure everything was smooth and comfortable. He was incredibly supportive, attentive, and genuinely cared about the guests. His thoughtful service really made my stay special. A big thank you to Ivan on behalf of my entire stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm and professional experience.

Verified reviewHotel was close to the beach. Most of the staff were friendly. Breakfast was awesome! I liked how they made eggs or pancakes on request so you get to eat them while they are still hot. We also had a small issue in our room and upon raising the complaint, the staff acted promptly by shifting us to another room in the middle of the night. We got upgraded the next day to a deluxe suite which we absolutely loved!
Most of the staff were friendly except for one night guard who was not very happy when we went out at night. He claimed that he needed to rest :). We found it odd because we are grown ups and it is a hotel not a hostel. We also had a feeling that our sheets were not changed everyday :(

Verified reviewIt was in a great location for the beach and we had a car, which the staff gave us hotel sign for parking. The room was a great size and the bed really big! The bathroom was also very large and the cleaning team very fastidious.
It’s minor but the terrace faced into the property meaning we had to close our curtains for privacy so we couldn’t really enjoy the space. It’s down to the property design rather than the management.

Verified reviewA wonderful stay in this nice small hotel where we made a last minute reservation post reaching Mauritius( due to other hotel not being good ) But this did not disappoint us with its location and being right next to the restaurants and bars dotting the main street . Nightclubs like cloud are in walking distance . Frank at the front office has been exceptionally helpful and hospitable starting from welcoming us and sharing tiny details about the place . The pool is small but has a sauna and hot tubs which can be of use . Special mention about the spacious suite which can accommodate family and the tub which is bigger than expected .
Nothing as such but car parking would be 3 mins walk from the hotel but safe enough .

Verified reviewThe flat was spacious and the location excellent ( many restaurants around and Pereybere -a lovely small beach with beautiful blue water just across the street. The bed is queen size, the bathroom very spacious and generally quite clean. Also the rooftop pool was very enjoyable and clean. We arrived very early (than the check-in time) and they kindly offered us to join the b-fast and check-in early with no extra fee. The only tasty item from breakfast I could appreciate and enjoy was the chia /overnight oats.
-exact same breakfast every day which becomes boring ( especially you stay 4 nights like we did) -lack of a more diverse breakfast - the pastries were strange in taste and far from tasty - I tried the cereals and they were old /captured humidity - if you are vegetarian, there is almost no option for you except for fruit - the music in the breakfast area was too loud ( ambiance could be improved) - the tables felt sticky - sometimes people smoking in the lobby hotel area

Verified reviewEverything. The staff was among the best we ever encountered. They offered very early check in, upgraded us for free and gave us free breakfast on our first day!!! We travel a lot and this is something very rare, probably unique. The room was spacious and every day it was cleaned perfectly.
Nothing, it is a great hotel with great people.

I won't say we did not like it but breakfast could have some more variety. However this was not so important for us. Pool area no music or bar area.

Verified reviewthe room was spacious and comfortable , the breakfast was reasonable , the beach was just across the road less than five minutes walk.
the room would have been much better with an outside balcony not an inner courtyard , much better quality television programs , the beach was certainly not very appealing , the breakfast could have had much more variety , if guests on the floors above were showering the waste water could be heard from the shower drain this could be at any time.
