The host & team are very friendly, caring, experienced & professional. Very reliable for airport transfers & tours around the south part of the island and more. Best place to stay and experience Mahébourg as a local as the location is close to delicious local & seafood restaurants (discovered thanks to the host advices), the market, bus terminal to Blue Bay everything within walking distance ! You will also meet Rambo the cat 😸 & his friend(s) who are also very friendly. I highly recommend.

Hard to find location; had to ask several people including two policemen; eventually stumbled on it. No control of air conditioning. Room got uncomfortably hot. Had to climb stairs to 3rd floor. Hard to park.

The price. Helpful owners parked our car inside the gate every night. Close to Mahébourg Museum.

An excellent guest house with a great host, Ritesh, who cannot do enough to make your stay an enjoyable one. We were stopping over en route to the UK and Ritesh kindly collected us from and delivered us to the airport at a very reasonable cost. The accommodation is "guest house" so don't expect 5 star luxury but Ritesh has most things covered that a normal guest house would not ... providing items such as insect repellant should you want to wander out to explore the neighbourhood and plug adapters. There's WiFi at no cost and we were very impressed that Ritesh, as we had a very early flight, very generously rose very early in the moring to provide a substantial breakfast for us prior to his cook arriving to cater for the other guests. "Over and above" we thought. So, we were impressed ... especially with the cost of an overnight stay ... fantastic value from money with great customer service provided. There's much to recommend Residence Les Bambous.

The room was quite small but absolutely fine if you only sleep there as I did.

Very nice owners who help out with tips for activities and do their best to make you welcome. Ritesh even arranged to join a catamaran trip to Ile aux Cerfs and parked my car inside the gate for the night (very narrow passage if more than one to be parked). The breakfast is also very nice with pancake, omlette, fruits, toast and coffee or tea. I also liked the ceiling fan.

The property is near the airport only several minutes driving. Thus, it is a perfect place for transfer. The owner family is very friendly especially Ritesh who reacts quickly to the customer’s needs. He is such a diligent young man, not only in charge of the management but also is a great chef making nice breakfast to cater. He knocks on the door exactly at 6am to take me to the airport. He is so kind and patient, introducing the sightseeing places because he can also provide the tour guide service. His wife, Ovima, is also a wonderful lady! She always smiles let me feel like my family member. It is amazing their nieces are so beautiful, smart and nice to me. They are staying there on vacation. They make me feel I am staying with family not a traveler. The price is reasonable including the breakfast really a good experience there!

Microwave didn’t work although we didn’t mention that to the owners. Some bowls and cutlery would be convenient. Great value for money.

As vegetarians there was only cheese toast and pancakes. Some mushrooms chips and salad would have been preferable with baked beans. It’s close to the airport which is good. Ritesh and his wife were very helpful and accommodating. We had a lovely stay and we were comfortable. Definitely great value for money. Wouldn’t have minded paying a little more for a good breakfast. Should be an option.

The apartment was really dirty. Kitchen equipments were greasy and disgusting. There wasn’t any battery in the remote of the AC. AC seemed like it was not cleaned for ages. It was really uncomfortable to sleep there but we arrived late so we did not have the chance to go somewhere else. It is ok that it’s not modern for that price but it should have been cleaned. Wifi connection was poor.

Close to the airport, easy early checkout. Owner was nice.
