Good place for short stay. Clean rooms, communal kitchen, parking available. Bit difficult to navigate for first time as Google shows a one-way street. Value for money.

Location not the best but it serves as good accommodation for a few nights stay and exploration of the local area if you like to walk.

It seems they are understaffed. The receptionist was asleep when I arrived in the afternoon. Extremely difficult to find the parking spot for your car as the google maps will lead you into the one way street. A bit noisy since its close to a roundabout.

The place was beyond our expectations. Beautiful, big and clean rooms with all the amenities. Very well located with restaurants and convenience stores around. The host is also super helpful, and was making sure we were comfortable. Honestly, one of the best places in Mauritius.

The town is a bit grubby, like other reviews have mentioned - pretty noisy outside - which isn't a problem. I was there during the election period so more a case of bad timing.

It was quite noisy during the night. You could here the dogs barking on the street all the time but thats not the owners fault of course.

The room was clean and very spacious. We had a lot of space, a big bathroom with hot water and the best beds on the island ;-) they also have a nice terrasse with Oceanview and the Breakfast looked really nice (have to pay extra). The staff was also really nice and helpful and gave us recommendation for trips and the restaurants in the area.

Very difficult to find and entrance hidden. No one to let me in , so waited in the busy and noisy street.

Nicely furnished , bed comfortable and everything worked well. Staff were excellent and the breakfast (300r) was outstanding !

Could have had a better selection of pans in the kitchen. Kitchen cupboards could have been cleaner.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good communication. Secure parking. Good kitchen with nice communal area. Lovely terrace to eat breakfast on in the mornings and another rooftop area. Really good budget accommodation, great value for money.

There was quite a bit of noise from the outside but don't worry this village shuts down by 9 pm

Very reasonably priced place to stay,which was very clean and comfortable.In fact two cleaning ladies came every day and there was only one other guest and he didn't stay long

There was no hairdryer in the apartment and very little in terms of cutlery and plates although we discovered we could use those in the communal kitchen on another floor. It was quite a walk to the beach.

The SM lodge was spacious and comfortable. It was basically a huge room with a bathroom attached. It had a great communal balcony in front of the room and delicious street food directly opposite. Beds really comfortable and it was very clean.

Nothing, superb value for money

We were a group of 5, in 3 rooms, hiking in the area. It was superbly clean, had mega hot showers which were awesome and it was so great to have a kettle in the room too.

Great value for money: located centrally in Trou d’eau douce and very close to the embarcation point for taxi boats to Ile aux cerfs. My bed was very comfy - I slept like a stone. The staff is knowlegeable, helpful and very friendly. There is also a well-equipped shared kitchen.
