This is a spacious villa, two stories. One bedroom on the main floor and the other two on the second. There is everything you might need for a nice stay -- a kitchen, a cloth washer, well equipped kitchen. There is a nice area around the villa, surrounded by a fence. To enter the property, you have to open the gate for the car (the remote for it was not working while we were there, but we managed to open it manually, not a problem). On the sea side, there is again a fence with a gate that stays locked.. So to go to the beach, you have to unlock the gate, which provides extra security of course, but also seems to suggest that you have to be vigilant. The hosts are very nice and respond very fast to questions and requests. We were met and shown around the property when we arrived. Communication was also easy on WhatsApp. Outside of the villa, there is a swimming pool that we didn't use because we like swimming in the sea, but with lights at night coming up, it really looked great, same as the rest of the villa. All the three bedrooms have a sea view, which were gorgeous from the second floor. I did look for a place with great sea views and it was such a place.

I don't really want to write anything negative, but on the other hand I want to be honest to help others make a good decision, so I will mention two things. One -- there is no restaurant or grocery store close to the villa and you have to drive to Port Louis for this. If there is no traffic, it's less than 15 minutes, but most of the time there is traffic in Port Louis and it might take up to 30 minutes. We still did it but it was time consuming to drive into the city even for an ice cream. The second thing is that when you think Mauritius, you think turquoise white sand beaches and water sports. The beach next to the villa is not that type of a beach. To go the dream beach you again have to drive to probably Mon Choisy up north and, with traffic, it might take 40-45 minutes and sometimes even longer. This was something that I didn't understand before coming. We did take walks on the beach next to the property, but for swimming and water sports we had to drive every day and, to be completely honest, I regretted not living in a villa right on one of those beautiful white sand beaches with turquoise water. It might be that such a place would cost an arm and a leg... We had a great time anyway (and we did have a rental car), but in hindsight I would rather not drive the whole time.

Super spacious, clean and well decorated, has all the necessities in terms of furniture and kitchen appliances, towels and extra bed sheets / blankets if necessary, spacious parking, and direct access to the beach with private swimming pool. The owner is very responsive and ready to assist if necessary. We don't regret choosing Stella Maris and will definitely be back ASAP

The villa looks just like the pictures. The garden and pool are wonderful. The whole environment around the house was amazing. Early morning coffee accompanied by the sound of the ocean waves and birds was absolutely breathtaking. The owner was super responsive and helpful. We checked in and out outside of the schedule and he was fine with it. Kitchen is well equipped with the water dispenser which was very useful. We even found the air-fryer which is quite rare. Bedrooms are very basic but we found everything we needed. The only thing was that the house could have been cleaner. Although we spent most time outside so it wasn't the issue.

This beautifully pristine property is on the ocean in the Pointe aux Sables neighborhood near Port Louis. The gardens and grounds are lush and spacious. The villa has tons of room and all the kitchen utilities and utensils you might need. There is AC and fans to stay comfortable on warm days. The pool is fantastic and so clean.

There is no grocery store or cafes within walking distance, but we called a taxi to go out and stock up on what we needed. The property is so nice you don’t want to go anywhere.

The villa is spacious, open, and secure, providing a relaxing and comfortable stay. The parking area is large, and the pool is exceptionally big. I was particularly impressed with the well-maintained garden and enjoyed watching the birds that visited. The private garden and beach access were highlights, and hearing the sound of the waves from the terrace was a real treat. The host was also very friendly, and we were even allowed to harvest coconuts from the trees, which was a fun bonus!

/1/ The driveway right next to the narrow road makes entry and exit a little dangerous. I ended up causing some traffic while waiting for the gate to open. /2/ The pool is supposed to be cleaned regularly, but we didn’t see a cleaner, and the pool wasn’t properly tidied. Our neighbors brought sand into the pool. /3/ Though the villa accommodates at least 6 guests, we found the fridge too small to accommodate groceries for the 4 of us. /4/ The sea in front of the villa wasn't suitable for swimming—it was dirty and filled with various creatures but it could've also been because it rained, I'm not sure

The villa itself is wonderful. Clean, comfortable rooms with excellent showers, a kitchen with all you need, and the most amazing pool area. We also loved that Port Louis is nearby and that you get direct access to the beach. We also enjoyed the company of a very friendly, stray-ish kitten! We especially loved using the big pool in the warm evenings!

There were lots of cockroaches around. We also had no idea that the property was shared, but perhaps we missed that in the description. One thing to note was that we weren’t notified that someone would be coming to clean the house. We really appreciated that we came home to a clean house, but we would have liked a heads-up! The area is typical of coastal Mauritius and the bus stop outside meant there was always traffic noise. Not the nicest area for walking around or finding something to eat!

Nawas was a very kind host who was always reachable for any issues. The Villa was nice with plenty of space, good air-conditioning and a gas stove, which I really appreciated. The sea-view from the balcony was perfect. Another great thing was the water dispenser. Every time fresh water instantly either ice cold or very hot for tea. The garden was awesomely beautiful and a great place to spend days at the pool. The salty Poolwater was very pleasant. Absolutely not like sea water. I was very pleasantly surprised, 'cause I had a bit of concerns about the salt water beforehand. It's great to have the beach directly in front of the Villa. Even it's not totally clean outside the property, it was a nice place to sit in the evening and witness very beautiful sunsets though. Very quiet place with nearly no people there.

It's located in a Area with less Restaurants and shopping possibilities. A car is absolutely nessesary imo. A bit more interior decoration would be nice. And one Bedroom is without a closet, so you have to use the closet in the corridor.

The property is beautiful and well maintained, we loved our stay. Everything you need for your stay is there. There’s a bus stop directly outside the property which is easy to navigate into Port Louis and only cost 30MUR per person. The host and his family are so caring and hospitable, they even gave us bread and milk on the first evening as we arrived really late to the vila (about 7:30pm). We highly recommend a stay at Stella Marris

The only thing that would make things soo much better (but behind the villa’s control) is if there was a cafe or restaurant nearby that we could quickly duck into on a quiet morning / evening.. but there seems to be a few developments around so who knows what things will be like in the future. Getting on the bus is easy enough though and the trip into Port Louis is only about 15-20 mins

We stayed at Stella Marris beachfront villa (the three bedrooms villa). We were 5 people and, for us, was more than enough to spent beautiful and memorable days there. I can't recommend this villa enough! We had the absolute pleasure of staying for more than two weeks, and from the moment we booked, the owner made the experience seamless. Prior to our arrival, we were in constant contact (through WhatsApp), receiving invaluable advice and support for our entire trip to Mauritius. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and given helpful tips that made our first day smooth and enjoyable. Throughout our stay, the owner was attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. The villa itself is stunning—spacious, beautifully furnished, and fully equipped. If you're wondering whether something will be provided, rest assured it will be! Towels, cleaning supplies, kitchen essentials, wine glasses, a dryer, a coffee machine, a water dispenser—you name it, it's there. Everything was impeccably clean, with regular housekeeping, and the pool was spotless, cleaned daily. We spent each evening enjoying barbecues on the terrace, unwinding in the peaceful setting. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the island, making it easy to explore both the north and south. It's a quiet area with a shop and bus stop just across the street, and despite being on the main road, there was no noise disturbance from the beach side of the villa. Plus, there were no bugs or pests, and every room has air conditioning and a private bathroom. We loved the views from the villa, especially watching the ships sail in and out of the harbor. The pool was lovely, and the large veranda with comfortable seating provided a beautiful garden view. We also had a private sandy area with charming green geckos and a variety of birds. The sunsets were breathtaking, and waking up to birds chirping was a treat.

Super beautiful, quiet villa with a fantastic sunset and birds chirping in the morning. Good starting point for Port Louis, Flic en Flac, Grand Baie and hikes in the mountains. We had a private sandy area with green geckos and many different species of birds. The accommodation is equipped with everything, even a drinking water dispenser. There is a charcoal grill available for grilling. We slept very well and the beds were super comfortable. The host was very friendly and caring. Thank you very much ☺️. We would book the villa again immediately, there is nothing to complain about.

Spacious, lots of bathrooms, beautiful garden, pool and access to beach. Thanks to plenty of towels, kitchen utilities and ample parking. Very comfortable stay at the house.

Struggled a bit to locate the property as google maps did not take exactly to the address and couldn’t spot the ‘Stella Marris’ sign easily. As it is near bus stop, it may be hidden mostly by buses. Found later that ‘Tessa Coiffure Pointe aux sables’ takes to the address. Restaurants and supermarkets were a little bit far and only accessible by car.
