    Our stay at the hotel was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. The staff were exceptional – warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt well taken care of, with every detail handled professionally and with a personal touch. The facilities were excellent, offering something for everyone. The swimming pool was fantastic, and the direct access to the beach made it even more special. Our rooms were spotless, comfortable, and well-designed, with bathrooms that were simply amazing. The food was another highlight – varied, fresh, and delicious, with a new specialty each day that kept meals exciting. Even our children, who can sometimes be fussy eaters, were delighted – not a single complaint from them! Overall, it was a truly memorable experience for our family, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. A special mention goes to Scyam, whose outstanding hospitality and attentive service made our stay even more enjoyable. He went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed – thank you for making our holiday extra special.

    Excellent reception and restaurant areas, great pools and night entertainment, great beachfront, amazing friendly people . Kids club very good, amazing ladies at kids club. Adilan the waiter at the restaurant deserves kudos, a great guy, also Melissa at the restaurant and Scyam operations manager very good, boathouse activities great. Movie night was awesome

    Food selection can be improved, ventilation in toilet could be improved, room size a bit small but manageable, shower has no door and squishy squashy. Reception takes long to answer calls

    The place is beautiful, and recently renovated, the rooms are decorated with taste and are very new and spotless. The hotel is right on the famous beach Flic en Flac with a beautiful view on the Morne. The service in the room was very good and responsive, the cleaning staff were efficient and gave us good service. The beach service is good. There is regularly a person coming to ask if anything is needed without being disruptive. Buddha bar is a good spot for sunset and we enjoyed tasty lunch there (bit pricey).

    The food is not at the level of a 5 star but more a 3 star, we were on half board pension; the breakfast buffet and the dinner buffet was not good, we basically did not eat anything. The way the food was presented was not appealing (lighting, big bowls of food like the yogurt in the morning), the way the buffet is designed was not efficient to accommodate the person and could create some long lines. The quality and taste of the food is definitely something to be improved, it does impact the price-quality of the stay and left us with a bitter feeling. There is a “quiet pool- adult only” but it was not respected and there was kids using it during our stay, the staff did not do anything about it, they even gave them towels.

    Food generally was very good. Selection was big. The resort is really nice and it has lots too offer.

    Housekeeping was not good. Numerous times after returning to the room either after breakfast or being out and when we came back the bed look terrible, towels lying crumpled up on the bathroom floor, facecloth crumples next to the basin and dirty coffee cups at the coffee station. That was unacceptable for the price you pay at a premium resort. To be fair we did bring to management's attention, and they then made some effort, but it was all too little too late. At breakfast it also took ages to get a cappuccino when ordered. The entertainment was short and everything even in the Budda Bar seemed to shut down quite early.

    the food at breakfast and dinner fell short for me, for the extra that you pay for meals i really think the food could be better. the bonus though was the separation of the halaal food from the non halaal food. that was highly appreciated.

    very overcrowded! unable to get a reservation in the resturant, buffet was very poor and felt more like a canteen, staff overwhelmed and under trained. mad dash to get a sun bed next to our room in the morning! all inclusive package wasn’t all inclusive!

    We have very much enjoyed our stay at Sugar Beach hotel and would consider staying there again. The staff were extra attentive and accommodating. The beach was lovely and we felt that the premium beach access room was worth the extra money, especially as we were staying there with our 7-month baby at the time. The food and cocktails were lovely too which we felt justified paying extra for the all inclusive option.

    Accessibility could be improved, as there were areas that were not accessible with a stroller/buggy (for example, reception was on the first floor and there was no lift available, although staff offered to help carry the stroller a number of times).

    The beach was nice.

    The service and staff were appalling. This is supposed to be a 5 star resort and it's no-where close. Untrained staff who didn't seem to have any idea of good service. Horrendous service from beginning to end.No communication between them. Over priced and felt as if everything they were doing was to get more money out of their guests. The All inclusive was useless, so much stuff was not included. The food at the buffet was worse than poor school food. Cheap, badly managed and one of the most disappointing hotels I've had stayed at.

    Exquisite in every sense of the word. Hard to list all but the standout for me in no particular order, the hotel design, the staff, grounds keeping, the beach the pools. The restaurants the ability to share facilities with La Pirogue! The list goes on. It exceeded my expectations!

    The check in process was lovely, the guest relations gentleman was very helpful and explained how the facility operates. The options at breakfast were great, however lunch had a very limited menu which lacked flavour and taste. Most nights dinner was lovely, the dessert options weren't the best.

    When I initially booked I had chosen the option of having two beds as I was traveling with my brother. We unfortunately were given one bed but was able to make it work. The flavour in the food needs some attention. We are on an island, the food should be appropriately seasoned. More seafood options are needed please.

    The hotel is gorgeous and it has the most beautiful beach in Mauritius. Sunset is also amazing. The Spa is great and good value for money. Our massages were one of the best we ever had. Shout out to Shey/ Shayk (not sure how to spell his name) male massagist from the spa who was great.

    The food is not amazing for the price you pay. The restaurants from the Lux* chain are much better. There were also a couple of small things that we didn’t like: 1. They wanted to charge us extra for a caramel syrup at breakfast. When you are paying so much money already, that felt really cheap and make it not feel as luxurious. 2. For you to get a beach towel, you need to give a card and you need to bring it back at the end of the day to get your card back. However we liked to stay for the Sunset so by the time we came around 18h30, there was no one at the kiosk or no cards left and it took quite some time for someone to find a solution. Again, this whole card scheme felt a little cheap.

    The personal touches were excellent. The operations manager Scyam went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. He knew us by name and introduced himself to us even when we were taking a walk outside the hotel. The reception staff, Aashna, welcomed us and made us feel special. We will treasure all the special moments the hotel created for our wedding anniversary, the special dinner in the Mare Mare where the restaurant manager also made our evening great. The breakfast in bed topped everything. The gifts we loved them, my husband's straw hat, and my beach bag made our day. From our first day to our departure, we had a wonderful time. Thank you.

    We liked everything, but we were disappointed we missed the opportunity to make our own perfume as the lady was not well.
