We asked to do a day trip at Grand Baai (which is advertised on the group) and reception phoned the Grand Baai resort and they advised the earliest we could go there was in 2 weeks time - we were quite irritated as it would have been nice to stop there for lunch (all inclusive) while day tripping

Beach was lovely. There are a lot of dogs in the area but the beach is clean every day. The only problem was the low tide that we could not use the dinghy or paddle boards which was a little irritating as the water level was too low, however obviously this is beyond the hotels control. Room was perfect and staff were super friendly.

The food is average, but if you like fish, totally recommend to stick with that as it is fresh every day. The lagoon is not as it states in the adverts, so for good swimming and snorkelling, you need to go to the main Trou Aux Beaches (shuttle bus can take you there) and that really is a paradise. Please have the dogs removed though - they are a bit of a nuisance.

A lovely boutique hotel in Trou Aux Beaches. Fantastic location to travel around the island of Mauritius. The rooms are very beautiful and spotless. The facilities were good and the pools were fab. The staff are very attentive and very accommodating.

The drinks for lunch and dinner are not included - I expected only the water to be included and any other drinks or alcohol to be paid separately, but bear in mind this applies to the water too. For breakfast, you have juices, teas, coffee, and water included.

We had half board - the food was delicious, and there were lots of choices. We tried local, Indian, Chinese, and other international cuisine - overall good choice, especially for dinner and lunch, which we had once. The breakfast offered generally the same choices - fruits were slightly different each day but enjoyed all the food. I liked the facilities - we didn't have the time to use the free foot massage voucher and the spa but the beach and the rooms were good and clean. We had a great time! We had friends staying in another hotel nearby, next to Troux aux biches and for a similar price, their experience was quite different - service and facilities weren't as good, including the food and they had an issue with bed bugs! We, on the other hand, had a great experience at Veranda.

Beautiful location. Activities advertised, but entertainment staff did not engage and encourage participation. Rooms were large & comfortable. Reception staff very welcoming & accommodating. Food at breakfast was lovely, but other meals were fairly basic for this type of hotel. If you use a taxi from the hotel, agree a price with them beforehand.

The staff weren’t very kind. It is better to book all inclusive, or else do not have drinks at the hotel. Try to think before going there if you need to upgrade your stay with a half board or all inclusive or else the prices that they give you at the hotel for the upgrade are more than double the prices you can book online wich does not make any sense to be honest.

It was near seaside but bottom of the ocean was rocky and with some kind of oceanic plants. Breakfast was repetitive. Yet I enjoyed some food wasn’t really a problem for me.

The best staff…ever. They offer a variety of activities for the different age groups. Food tasting, rum tasting, entertainment.😋 Our kids celebrated their birthdays there, and they made it special for us. Thank-you!🌷

Bed was a little too firm for our liking but was not bad. Not so many local bars and restaurants offsite if you were staying for a longer stay and wanted to go outside of the hotel for a different choice.

Beautiful location right on the beach with amazing sunset views. Lovely pool and bar area, friendly dogs on the beach with a really laid back tropical feel. Most of the staff were very friendly and provided a great service. Good buffet selection too with nice setting for eating your meals. Gift shop on site and watersports available. Also quiet and peaceful at night with flying foxes overhead and birds in the daytime :)

The cozy hotel is situated directly on the beach. Its garden is clean and well-maintained. The rooms are cleaned every day. The quality and variety of the food are adequate. The staff strives to make the hotel guests feel comfortable. This is especially true for Rana, who works at the bar, and I have never encountered such a kind person in my life.

The beach is not nice the sand is very hard, and the sea is a lot dirtier then i remembered it.

Location of this resort is nice. walking distance to lots of small different places. Rooms was nice a very cool especially on very hot days. Resort very accommodating and staff is nice and friendly. Spa is awesome and very friendly people. Swimming pools are also very nice. Breakfast was excellent!

Feel the rooms could use some investment. Really doesn’t feel like a 4 star hotel and it’s unfair on the staff.

Loved the secluded privilege beach area. The sandy lanes restaurant and bar also great! Staff good in this area. Sara and the restaurant staff were great!

The guys on the beach keep pestering you to do paid activities, even when you decline. After breakfast it’s impossible to get a sun lounger and there are towels on all of them but no people. It’s like people come really early to book these loungers and pitch much later knowing in the day when someone else could have been using them already.

Staff were super friendly. Nothing was too much for them Ramdass at the restaurant was exact and went out of his way to be helpful quickly. The fact that you can arrive early and they have facilities for you to take a shower and use the resort while you wait to check in was incredibly nice. That convenience is extended when you check out too. They have umbrellas in each room too in case it rains ( this was very well used ) the food has a nice variety and is fresh. Overall a lovely experience. We’d book here again.
