We had an absolutely amazing stay at Coco Bodu Hithi! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly — a special thank you to Misbah and Tomy, who truly made our experience unforgettable with their kindness and hospitality. Misbah went above and beyond to make us feel at home his warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made a lasting impression on our family. The resort is very family-friendly, which made traveling with our little one so much easier and more enjoyable. The beach is stunning, the water villa was a dream, and the whole atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Everything was perfect, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again. The entire hotel is in great need of renovation, particularly taps, mirrors and doors. Kettle in our room short-circuited. The pool tiles were crumbling and we even found a massive glass shard (thankfully not in our feet). One of the wooden step to the sea was snapped, so massive splinters are waiting for your legs too. Sadly, based on other reviews, the refurbishment has been raised for years, but the hotel never did it. The design of the water villa (and seemingly other villas) is also questionable. The interior and exterior are oppressively dark, aided by very poor lighting (reading after sunset is out of the question). The step to the bed is guaranteed to trip you at night and break your toes/heels. The wooden floors are an ice rink when wet. We were concerned about kitchen hygiene after we saw even the open kitchen chefs touch/use same utensils for both raw and cooked ingredients, but we raised it with the head chef, saw immediate improvement and had no digestion issues. The hotel staff team would benefit from a collective guest interaction guideline. Half are gloomy, half affable, but very few make a pleasant conversation. Besides the hotel however, there are 3 other parties operating on the island: a dive centre, water sports and marine biologists. These guys are more outgoing, particularly the biologists, but the water sports guy seemed afraid bit wary of us. The hotel, water sports and the biologists all organise snorkelling trips with vastly different prices, so on top of the normal Maldivian planning, you may end up performing a market research and 3x the bargaining. Marine biologists are much needed, and the hotel actively pushes for a conservation campaign, yet every day the water is covered by some refuse and there are 5 formats of in-house fishing. Meanwhile, snorkelling with mantas (with one of the best spots only 10 mins away by speedboat) is not ordinarily offered at all.

Personal manager/host assigned at arrival - Misbah did a great job organising our stay, always in touch and efficient. Wi-fi - speedy and practically everywhere on the island/residences. Doesn’t get busy even at full capacity - you hardly see other people except for food. Forest friends - bunnies, cats, geese, parakeets, even a couple of flying foxes. Unfortunately, the forest also meant mosquitos. The size of the villa wrt price is above the market. Villas are fully detached. Great dive centre - shout out to Antonio and Nasif. Resident marine biologists who you can help plant a coral frame ✬. Spa therapists are very skilled, big thanks to Pema for restoring me after an exhausting diving trip. Food is good, particularly the specialty restaurants, but dishes not replenished towards the end of the buffet times + see below for hygine. A fairly good house reef, particularly for turtle sighting.

Our stay at Coco Bodu Hithi in the Maldives was simply perfect. It was, without a doubt, the best experience of our lives. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We spent our honeymoon here, and the team went above and beyond to make it truly unforgettable. The attention to detail, the warm hospitality, and the personalized touches made us feel so special. A special mention goes to Shihan, our incredible host. Words cannot describe how amazing he was. He anticipated our every need, ensured we were comfortable at all times, and added such a personal touch to every moment of our stay. He genuinely made us feel like royalty! The beauty of the resort, the stunning surroundings, and the exceptional service made this a vacation we will cherish forever. We honestly can’t recommend Coco Bodu Hithi enough to anyone looking for a dream getaway. Thank you for making our honeymoon so magical. We will never forget this experience and hope to return soon!

Love the pool, big round jacuzzi and the spacious big villa. Direct access to the beach make it easier to straight away go for snorkelling. Beach are very clean and private. Enjoyed my solitude there.

The Resort upgraded my water villa to escape water villa. But the pool really need major maintenance and repair. Pool tiles were chipped and broken out and it spoilt the best pictures of the villa.

I liked everything

I rarely write reviews, but that was a wonderful vacation! Everything was great . Very beautiful nature, excellent villas, very friendly staff, delicious food. Special thanks to Hammu , who assisted us. He made our vacation very comfortable, he answered all questions, helped with everything we needed . Very beautiful reefs, we saw stingrays, sharks and turtles. Unforgettable!

Difficult to finds words for the extraordinary staff @ Coco Bodhu. First of all the island is amazing as it is a natural island (which is rare in maldives) the jungle is so intense and beautiful. We stayed at the residences, yes not the newest room but the scenery compensates it more than much. The best thing about the residence is the great infinity pool and the spacious room. The staff of Coco Bodhu makes the hotel from very good to oustanding, we traveled a lot, saw many hotels in all different price category but we never saw this kind of staff. Everybody does the job with the heart is autenthic and warm and wants just the best for every guest! It was really touching to see how the whole staff does their job with the fullest of their heart. There are some staff which we would like to point out: Our Host for the residences, Hammu, he always reply fast on every demand and maked everything for us to feel at home! Thank you Hammu for your service, we really recommend you for all guets, Coco Bodhu can be happy that they have you! For every dinner and Breakfast service we had the pleasure to be greeted with a smile from two incredible ladies, Samikshya and Dayanara, those two are just incredible kind and serve the guests with their charming smiles, a pleasure! To Samikshya and Dayanara: please stay as you are and we are sure that coco bodhu will appreciate your empathy for the guest and your work ethics. Also Faroq which served us water made our dinner special, he always wished us a good lunch in our mother language, thank you Faroq for your attidude. Thank you as well for our room cleaner of room 622, hed did a great job! Last but not least, special Thanks to Ahmed for making our wishes come true, Ahmed is a perfect example for great hospitality. Leaving after checkout it’s the first time I was asked to pay for lunch and anything until we left. Considering that we spent significant sum for all inclusive package .. food towards the end should not be a problem in my opinion and that’s was our experience form other resorts as well. This was the first time we have been asked to pay extra.

Location of the island and facilities where superb. This was our 4th stay in Maldives and Coco Bodu Hithi definitely comes on top. Kids club managed by lovely Christine was absolutely amazing .. our daughter felt very happy with all the creative approach while it was raining outside. Coral reef is also rich of sea life and easy to reach from within the villas. Food was great and buffet had nice selection of different cuisines. We definitely recommend the resort.
