The hotel has a magnificent view of the ocean! The hotel has very warm and helpful staff, and the food is delicious. Everything is clean, and the staff goes out of their way to make sure we are satisfied. We stayed in a family room on the third floor and enjoyed the ocean view from our terrace! It was absolutely beautiful! If we ever visit this atoll again, we will definitely stay at this hotel! Special thanks to the staff member, Hasan, who created a magical atmosphere with his presence!

    - This isn't your regular hotel, this is more than just a hotel. The owners really value and care about their guests, the ethos of their belief of life and being happy, flows throughout the property and the staff. I have to give an extra special thanks to the owners as they really made me feel like family. The lounge area is so cosy and you can borrow floats and snorkeling masks which other hotels charge you for. - The breakfast is a buffet style which has both local dishes and your contentinal. The check makes fresh cake every breakfast and they are to die for! There is a large bottle of water they give you each day and throughout the day, you have access to free coffee and tea. They also serve lunch and dinner. - Every staff is super friendly, I really want to say thanks to the other Bangladeshi staff who despite English not being his first language, was so warm and helpful. - For a solo traveller, and having travelled for over a decade, this place holds a special place in my heart. - A big gratitude and thanks to the Cowry owner Majid as he went out his way to take me snorkeling. I am not a very good swimmer and always wear a life jacket. He was so patient and gentle with me. And I managed to go snorkeling wearing no life jacket. He left my arm and always made me feel safe. I went three times with him and I was so fortunate to see, both white tip shark and black tip shark, turtle, and insane colour fish. What's also so admiring about the owner, I made a lot of friends with people on the Island from different hotels, and they came along to join me on my private snorkeling which the owner didn't charge. It really shows, he really wants his guests to experience things and have an amazing time. In fact, he persuaded I go snorkelling as I was very reluntant. - The owner also took me star gazing, the location of this hotel is just by bikini beach and its a prime spot where you can see shooting stars. - I can't express how much I loved my stay here.

No, negatives but I would highly recommend booking directly with the hotel. I ended up extending my stay and saved $20 per night.

In principle a nice property, located right next to the Bikini Beach. They arranged speedboat transfers for us at a fair price. The rooms are spacious, the bed was comfortable and the room itself was clean.

Upon arrival you get a whole sheet of rules that you have to sign, which includes things like „no eating in the room“ or prices that are charged if linen or towels are stained. Eating in a hotel room is simply expected, and even beyond that, these rules feel very odd (we are all adults) and set a very strange vibe. We were also informed that towels would be changed daily only to find our dirty towels that we left on the floor hung up again - with the explanation that they are apparently changed every other day (?). We were also not informed that there were beach beds available, we only found out after spotting them on the beach ourselves. What quite also annoyed us, is an instance where we came back from the beach, only to find our room unlocked with the maintenance key in the lock and no one around. We were able to walk straight into our room with all valuables inside and no one around for ~10 minutes (by which point we went to find some staff). This is simply not acceptable in our opinion. Overall we felt that the service left quite a bit to be desired and we did not feel the friendliness we experienced elsewhere in the Maldives. Moreover, the bathroom had seen better times and cleanliness left room for improvement. Additionally, the shower regularly created a strong smell of sewage, which was super unpleasant. We would very much visit Fulidhoo again, but we would be staying somewhere else.

A lovely place to stay during our time at Fulidhoo. We were picked up from the staff at the jetty and had a welcome drink on arrival. The room was spacious with a private balcony and a small clothesline. The bed was comfortable. The room was cleaned daily and bedding and towels (beach and bath) were changed after 2 days. There was access to coffee/tea and bottled water all day. The staff were always very friendly and were never too far away if we needed to ask a question. We were able to organise an excursion to swim with dolphins, turtles and coral garden for $55USD pp. There was free access to snorkelling equipment and beach toys. Complimentary Maldivian breakfast was great! Lunch and dinner are also available if ordered ahead and was pretty good. The island is small (only 700m x 200m) and Cowry Inn was very close to the bikini beach. However all beaches were walking distance. There are restaurants, souvenir shops and convenience stores located close by. The mosque is close by and the call to prayer is easily heard from the accomodation, however this wasn’t too disturbing and was part of the expected experience of staying on a local island. We arranged a public ferry $4USD pp (only on certain days of the week) to and from Male, but the motel also offered to arrange a speedboat for us for $40USD pp which run twice daily. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and felt like we were part of the Cowry Inn family.

Very nice and clean hotel to stay in especially with family. They have various beach equipment also for kids so You do not need to bring everything with You. Hasan on reception desk is also very helpful. Ask him about boat, snorkeling trip which is must-do during your stay.

Mosque bells will wake you up at 5-6 am but nothing can be done about it

The price was one of the most expensive we have booked and I’m not sure was value for money. Although we didn’t eat at the property so cant say what the food was like

Bathroom was very basic and the towels were awful. Very hard and not soft

Wow, what can I say? The cowry inn was magnificent. The staff were so attentive and friendly. We felt so at home being here, if your after a chilled, laid back vibe then the cowry inn is the place to be. I just felt so relaxed the whole stay. The guys are so welcoming and respectful to everyone staying.

    Nothing, it was honestly excellent.

Beautiful little guesthouse with an excellent host. It lies in a quiet street, but is neighbor with the mosque, so you will hear the speaker at 4.30 every morning. Fulidhoo is an amazing island!

It is near the bikini beach, around 3mins walk. The food is so good and it is not expensive

The pillows are very firm and big. We were accommodated on the ground floor and it was noisy from 6 in the morning to 12 at night. Also noise from the mosque from 5 in the morning
