Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceWe stayed 29 nights in Dhangethi Inn. Our stay over there has been wonderful to say the least. The host is top notch, very reactive and flexible on top of being professional at all time ( and a good freediver!). We felt at home on Dhangethi Island for a few weeks enjoying and sharing the local lifestyle and all the little things happening around the Island (Volley tournament, independence day...). The organisation regarding breakfast made it easy not to go for a diving day on an empty belly and the amenities and room were always sparkling clean. The washing machine and the cleaning area helps in order to rinse and dry scuba/snorkelling gear. Location is central which is perfect on a small island, everything is a few minutes away. We will come back at some stage and when we do, we will stay again in this accommodation. Thanks again, keep it that way.

Czech RepublicI love that hotel so much! Everyone was so kind, when I arrived I got a t-shirt for free and the owner took me on snorkeling trip with Whaleshark, Mantas and Dolphins. They are so kind, because when I left my hotel I forgot my passport in my room. The staff was so quiuck and they called to my speed boat which turn back. If they weren’t so quick, I would have a big problem at airport. Thanks a lot and see you again!

United StatesWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at Dhangethi Inn! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. They assisted us in arranging our speedboat transfers to and from the island, greeted us at the dock, carried our bags, and were always available to answer questions or lend a hand. The complimentary welcome gifts, a fresh coconut and Dhangethi Inn t-shirts, were a lovely and unexpected touch. The Inn is in a great location on the island, close to restaurants and only a short walk from the beach and snorkeling spots. The absolute highlight of our stay in the Maldives was the excursions led by the owner, Ahmed. Thanks to him, we had the unforgettable opportunity to see whale sharks, manta rays, turtles, and dolphins. We also went on a coral reef snorkeling trip, which was not only a fantastic experience but also excellent value for money. We truly can’t recommend Dhangethi Inn enough, everything exceeded our expectations! Thank you! Emma & Albert

United StatesThe mini fridge in the room isn't super cool, but Ahmed let us use the main fridge for some of our food. If folks are talking in the hallway, it isn't super quiet in the room. But overall, the other guests were very sweet and even prepared a shared meal.
Ahmed was a super sweet, outgoing host, and met us directly when we got off of the speedboat. Riyan was also extremely helpful throughout our stay. They helped us bring our bags to the Inn as well. Having a kitchen available was our favorite-- they had eggs, chicken franks, milk, juice, and bread available for breakfast, and we were able to keep leftovers and fruits in the fridge as well. My mom went on two outings with Dhangheti Inn while I did my scuba diving certification. The location is very close to the jetty, where you can watch fish in the water and swim if you are appropriately clothed (t shirt and shorts). There is a beautiful sunset from there if you are lucky. It is about 5-10 min walk from Bikini Beach, where tourists can wear foreign swimsuits as well. The inn is also 2 min walk from Compass and Blue Moon, which are two of the best restaurants on the island. Compass has a beautiful outdoor seating area. The Inn is a 5 min walk from Dhangheti Gelati, which may be the best gelato in the Maldives made with real fruits! There was bug spray and sunscreen left in our room, as well as shampoo / conditioner / body wash. Ahmed even gave us Dhangheti Inn t-shirts to welcome us! We were able to wear them over our swimsuits.

United KingdomFor the money, I can't complain. However, our biggest gripe was that the towels were quite stained. Aside from that, there were no real issues to find.
The value for money, location and best of all, the excursions! The Dhangethi Inn team worked very hard to ensure we saw everything we could have wanted! (Manta, whale shark, coral, dolphin, etc)

LuxembourgIndeed, we were very lucky to stay in Dhangethi INN. Hospitality of Ahmed exceeded all our expectations! The room is clean and spacious( AC, kettle), common area is very cozy. There is a nice small corner shop 1 min walk. We alternated two cafés nearby for lunch and dinner.( Compass and Blue Moon). But the true highlight of the stay is ocean trips with Ahmed! You will bring back home a lot of valuable memories to treasure. We met turtles, mantas and a whale shark! Ahmed does his best to find the creatures and to film the best possible videos for his guests! Going to a night snork is highly recommended as well, very exciting! If you visit Maldives for the first time, there is no better place to stay. A place for nature lovers! PS we had our own masks and fins, however Ahmed has some to lend as well.

SpainDhangethi inn was the best discovery I’ve made in my trip. The place is comfortable, well located, with some common areas that you can use for free and give you freedom, close to the restaurants and the sunset point… but the very very best from it is its owner. He made us feel at home, he made all the snorkelling tours with us and was the best guide ever. We could see mantas, Whaleshark, turtle, sandbank, eagle ray, even though the weather wasn’t the best. He really tried to make our dreams come true and also he es a veeery great guy as a person. I can’t tell a negative aspect about this place because it’s been incredibly unforgettable. We feel like the luckiest couple in the world.

SloveniaEverything was top notch! The host took care of our transport to the island from the airport and showed us around the island upon arrival. He took care of us, providing everything we needed. We were even provided with a free breakfast on all the five days of our stay. He also took us on a free snorkelling tour to a neighbouring sandbank and he tried his best to find mantas and whale sharks for us to snorkel with. When we did not find whale sharks, he gave us another free tour (which was unfortunately also unsuccessful, but nothing can be done about that). I can heartily recommend staying at Dhangethi Inn!

KazakhstanEverything was ok!
We liked everything from the very beginning, from the moment we met until we left. Akhmed is a very attentive and caring host. Our plane was delayed and we did not have time to catch the speedboat. Akhmed was constantly in touch and agreed speedboat on another time. After an hour and a half ride by speedboat, we were met by Akhmed on Dhangethi Island. When we met, he gave us a branded T-shirt and a coconut. We liked the hotel, a cozy room, everything was there, the air conditioning was silent. The hotel is located in the center, close to grocery and souvenir shops. The hotel has a kitchen, you can cook food, there is free water, tea, coffee, cakes and a veranda on which you can sit and eat. Excursions with Ahmed are a separate issue. He is a great expert in this matter. The next day we went on a manta ray excursion and swam with them, it was amazing. Akhmed films everything with his camera and then provides the video and photos for free. The next day he took us on a whale shark tour and we swam with it. My wife didn’t have time to swim after the whale shark, so Akhmed put her on his boat, they caught up with the whale shark, jumped into the water, he took her hand and literally took her to the whale shark. That was great! There were also excursions to the sand bank and snorkeling. In general, the week on the island flew by very quickly. As a farewell, Akhmed gave us more souvenir magnets. There is a lot more to tell, but we invite you to come and see everything for yourself. Thanks to Akhmed. We'll definetely come back. P.S. We ate at the Compass restaurant, stingrays swim there in the evening, you can feed them, and my wife constantly fed them and pet them. Super!

United KingdomWe had a wonderful stay in Dhangethi in April. Tholal arranged both our speedboat transfers and helped when our flight was cancelled to rearrange. The accomodation was comfortable, well located and there was always bottled water and snacks to access from the shared kitchen. It was close to a few lovely restaurants with sunset and ocean views. We chose this accomodation in particular after reading reviews of the excursions from Tholal's boat and we were not disappointed. We did the manta ray snorkel, whale shark snorkeling and reef snorkel and had an amazing time. Tholal captures wonderful underwater videos of the experience and sends them to you - check out the Instagram channel! He's a very generous and warm host who will make you feel very welcome on this beautiful island.

Amazing host! We stayed here for 5 nights as a family, 2 adults and 2 kids. Location right in the small town and close to the jetty and restaurants. We went out on the owers boat 3 times to a sandbank and various snorkel spots and swam with an abundance of marine life! It was amazing! The accommodation had everything we needed, there was a washing machine, common area kitchen and sitting area. Therecare also snorkels, fins and life vests for guests to use. ItalyThe room is basic and nice, but it could use a little more care, it still has a good quality-price ratio and if you don't care much about the accommodation and you only use it to sleep and you are more interested in excursions it could be fine.
The excursions were amazing, Tholal made some beautiful videos and sent them to us for free, he gave to us for free the excursion to the sandbank and some souvenirs. He is very good at finding manta rays and whale sharks and works really hard for his guests, with passion and dedication.

BulgariaTholal is the best host we’ve ever had. From the moment he welcomes you to the farewell he provides 5 star service. The hotel has everything you need - kitchen, unlimited supply of bottled water, snacks, coffee, tea and breakfast cereals. There is a washing machine with detergent at your disposal. His excursions are one of a kind - he takes you with his boat to see whale sharks, mantas, turtles, dolphins and many more. He is a great free diver and he will also shoot and sent it to you afterwards. The breakfast is in the nearby cafe - The blue moon cafe. There you can try the amazing maldivian breakfast- we really liked the Disk Mashuni and had it every day. Additionally, you have discount in the cafe for all the other meals - just say that you’re staying in Dhangethi Inn. We’ll definitely return one day.

Ahmed the owner was fantastic. He went out of his way to be helpful. Took two snorkeling trips and saw a giant manta rays and whale sharks. His hospitality was super excellent. He even invited us to have dinner at his home. I don’t think I could say enough good things about him and Dhangethi Inn. The island itself was so charming. I’ll never forget the experience.
