How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBreakfast was great, rooms were luxurious and the pool/rooftop was an added bonus
The rooftop would be better if there were umbrellas to provide some shade with the sun loungers, and the rooms could do with some more hooks on the walls to hang things up!

Verified reviewgreat location, staff and breakfast !! Nice beach, definitely go for the snorkelling tour with GoDivers. Whale shark and manta ray trips were bucket list Also, take the bike and go to the south tip of the island and walk the beach at low tide
our A/C unit wasn't working very well so we were hot at night. we did not inquire about it but we asked another guest and their A/C worked very well so we probably just had an old one.

Verified reviewThe staff were super nice. The hotel is modern and clean and it's located in a great spot, towards the end of the hotel area, about 5 min walk from the bikini beach and at the start of the forest walk. The restaurant in the hotel was one of the best we tried in the island. The room was spacious with a huge bed, a/c, a small fridge and the shower was big.
The bathroom was a bit tight. Maybe replacing the door with a sliding one would help. The wifi didn't work very well in the room, although it did work in the common areas.

Verified reviewThe location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach, and the staff are incredibly warm and welcoming—especially Kukku, who went out of his way to ensure everyone dining there felt well taken care of. The food is affordable and delicious; I’d highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner.
Breakfast was disappointing and brought my overall rating down. While the lunch/dinner menu offers a variety of fresh fruits, breakfast only had one type of fruit each morning, and the quality wasn’t exceptional. The sweet options were also disappointing—the pancakes were good but only served twice during my seven-day stay.

Verified reviewComfortable room, good air con, close to beach
I ate lunch at the restaurant and got the worst food poisoning I’ve ever had in my life. It spoilt our last 2 days and I was also so sick on the plane home. I told the reception when I checked out, the 2 young men were not sympathetic and did not seem to care about my experience or how more guests may become sick from that dish. I come to Dhigurah every February and won’t stay here again as a result. Also this hotel over charges for snorkelling trips, try and find an alternative provider

Verified reviewThis is a lovely place to stay. The facilities, restaurant and staff are wonderful. I booked extra days so I could ensure the best chances of seeing whale sharks. I am especially grateful to the head of activities and reception staff who worked very hard to make sure I had opportunities to try to see them (along with good luck wishes!). And I am happy to report that I was victorious!!! Thank you for a wonderful stay and a once in a lifetime experience.

Verified reviewHotel is perfectly located in the middle of the island. Rooms are specious and very clean with toiletries and drinking water refilled every day. Staff is a definitely a highlight of our stay - eager to help always with a smile on their faces. Food in the hotel restaurant is absolutely delicious. Go Divers organised scuba diving and snorkelling for hotel guests. Contact them or hotel to find out the weekly trips schedule ,especially if you wanna do whale shark trip, to make sure it’s aligned with your stay because other hotels won’t let you join them. I highly recommend this accommodation and scuba diving with Go Divers.

Verified reviewThe breeze was great spot. Rooms were spotless, water pressure good, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The restaurant on the property was one of the best on the island and it showed as it was full everynight
More whale shark tour options would have been nice as they were only running full day tours during our stay (we were there for 3 full days) at $137 pp. The tour was fine though catered to scuba as well leading to some waiting around. I struggled to find other tour options outside the hotel as well

Verified reviewVery clean and comfortable rooms, very close to bikini beach, good on site restaurant and nice staff.
This is not necessarily dhiguveli breeze specific but it seems like you have to use their in house dive company for the excursions. They have the week already planned out so there’s not much wiggle room for what you want to see when.

Verified reviewWe got an update to a 3* hotel Dhiguveli Maldives. We loved our comfortable room with an air conditioning and a balcony. The location of the hotel was great, just 5 minutes of walking to the beach. A big thanks goes to Radžu (I’m sorry if it’s written incorrectly) from the rooftop hotel restaurant. He is the friendliest guy, that we have ever met on our trip.
Higher tax in the rooftop restaurant which was in total 28%. If you go to the next hotel restaurant Dhiguveli Breeze, there’s the same menu as in the rooftop restaurant in Dhiguveli Maldives with only 18% of tax.

Verified reviewThe reception and services and stuff were really nice and we were able to communicate properly in english. The food in restaurant within the hotel was nice, we had also dinner there multiple times. Wifi was great. Location of the hotel is right in the middle of island, close to shops and also to the beach. They offer variety of trips, one or more per each day. The transfer from and back to the airport was very smoth and everything was handled greatly, and arranged by property, the communication was quick via Booking messaging. The stuff was waiting for us in both airport and port for speedboats, where they took care of our baggage and took us to the hotel. They cleaned the room everyday, and we got new towels for room and for beach everyday which was nice, along with complimentary bottle of water per day.
Room was rather small but manageable, with a bit dated look. The A/C was directly over the bed, which was uncomfortable, as you had to have it turned on a lot, as otherwise the room would get hot and wet quickly. Breakfast was pretty basic but they tried to change it a bit everyday. We got only 1 adapter for charging which was challenging for 2 people charging devices. We asked and were given a 2nd one but this one didn't work properly, and when we asked again we were told only 1 per room

Verified reviewWe had a wonderful holiday in the Maldives, staying at Dhiguveli Breeze on Dhigurah Island, and our overall impression was excellent. This place offers an outstanding price-to-quality ratio, which truly exceeded our expectations. Cleanliness and comfort The rooms were perfectly cleaned every day, and we always returned to a fresh and tidy room in the morning. This attention to cleanliness significantly enhanced our stay and contributed to our overall comfort. The staff – the heart of this place The best part of our stay was undoubtedly the staff. The waiters and all the employees were incredibly positive, always willing to help, and their smiles never left their faces. Their genuine approach and care played the biggest role in making this vacation so memorable for us. Wi-Fi as a minor downside Although there were occasional Wi-Fi signal issues in the room, it worked fine at the reception, so it wasn’t a big issue for us. On the contrary, we saw it as an opportunity to completely relax and enjoy the beauty of the island without the distractions of the online world. Conclusion Dhiguveli Breeze on Dhigurah is the perfect place for those seeking great value for money, cleanliness, and excellent service. The surrounding nature was breathtaking, and it added to the overall magical atmosphere of the trip. While the island itself could benefit from more focus on cleanliness in public areas, this is not something the hotel is responsible for. Our expectations were met and even exceeded. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, enjoy stunning surroundings, and feel genuinely welcomed, we highly recommend this accommodation!
