How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewI stayed with Midhoo and his team for three nights and it was fantastic. We went diving to different sites three times a day, fantastic for a diver's heart. The accommodation has been built with a lovely for detail and is very comfy and clean. The diving Equipment is pretty new too. Dive and sleep also offers three meals per day, so will never go to bed hungry. Overall I have to stress that the money is definitely well worth Pasing for what you are offered. I can highly recommend staying there.

Verified reviewWe had an amazing stay. The whole team of dive and sleep made everything easy. The room was great, with a lot of space, nice bathroom and also an outside space where we could sit in the night or let our wet clothes dry. The food was delicious, they prepared us breakfast, lunch and dinner every day with fresh ingredients and delicious fish. The dive experience was everything we could hope for and they made it very easy, with great preparation. We saw whalesharks, turtles, mantas, sting rays, white tip sharks, grey reef and many more and everything went smooth! The whole team was very nice and helpful at all times. The island itself is a little paradise. I can 100% recommend it!

Verified reviewGreat staff, clean rooms, dive equipment in good condition, focus on diving, organizing of the transfers. We were so lucky that the boat staff kept looking around from the boat on our way back after diving and suddenly happened to find a whale shark (which we couldn't see from the boat even when being pointed out haha), but got to quickly get in the water to watch the magic!!!
Beach right in front of the accommodation is public - that means no bikinis allowed! (But there's a little hidden private beach part a couple of meters further to the side where you can just enjoy the beach in your swimsuits.) Water in bathrooms (sink water, shower water) was clean, but smelled strange (apparently like that all around the island because it's groundwater).

Verified reviewEverything was great with Dive and sleep ! Dives, food, room and the staff. The Island is very relaxing, an atmosphere far from the big touristy resort. Everything is included in the price, no HIDDEN fee ! For me it’s a no brainer. Thanks to Midhu and all the staff for the fantastic stay !

Verified reviewI liked the simplicity and style of the room and small retreat. The bed and bathroom - with hot shower, were comfortable. I loved the 3 dives a day in the all inclusive package. I saw many wonderful creatures including leopard shark, whaleshark, and giant mantas. Midhu, the owner and dive manager, was responsible and vigilant while ensuring a relaxed, informal, peaceful experience both below and above water. The boat captain and crew were excellent. Well done and thank you to the whole team for a memorable holiday on the tiny, quiet island.

Verified reviewDive and Sleep is the perfect place for divers. Jarda and Midhoo and their team took us out on 3 different dives every day and made sure that we had a great time. There was so much underwater wildlife - it was amazing. And unlike other resorts there were no hidden fees, everything was included in the price. The local island is small and perfect for little walks, not so much for swimming during low tide. The rooms were spacious and clean and the 3 meals were fantastic.
