How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewNice if you get the room you booked
I'm reluctant to leave a bad review because this is not a wealthy place, it's just a 3 star hotel, and the island needs tourists - but it is what it is. I originally booked a regular Garden Room, but decided to upgrade to a Luxury Room with sea view, which was confirmed by email as having "private entrance, a balcony with sea views". It cost about US$200 more for this upgrade. However we were put in a ground floor room next to reception, where the only view was for passersby into our room, so we had to close the curtains all the time. We were vaguely offered the possibility of moving into the correct room half way though our stay. The man also offered the "best service for excursions and activities", which of course he wanted to sell us anyway. No further gesture was made. Apart from being in the wrong room, the water pressure was bad, towels dirty, window broken, power cuts. Half way through the trip we were indeed given the room we had booked, and the man said there will be no further costs for the upgrade - a bit rich seeing that all we were getting was what we paid for. I emailed booking.com and they replied after we'd already left. They didn't help at all. Beyond the hotel, the island was fine. I expect it's had more pristine days, and you won't go far to find litter. It's somehow over- and under-developed at the same time. The few restaurants all have pretty much the same menu with food out of packages, like noodles poured from a Pot Noodle into a bowl for you. It's cheap but not exactly nice. Some very nice local wildlife to watch while you dine and pleasant service staff. Could be good as a base from which to do excursions, but wouldn't choose it for a place to shoot the breeze.

Verified reviewthe room was ok
Due to the sewage system you need to use bin for the paper in the bathroom, it is very uncomfortable. All inclusive 3 star hotel has a very much different meaning in Europe, food choices were poor, very boring to eat the same for days. Fruit costs extra money which is a complete rip off. Programs were not organized, there were no alternate options in bad weather either other than just to sit in your room. The window of the room is not openable, therefore the air sits in after 1 day. Also in humid weather it is very uncomfortable. When we mentioned the “all inclusive” as a feedback, the waiter became rude to us, making unnecessary comments towards us all the time. As a summary, I would not return to the Maldives at all

Verified reviewThe best place we stayed in the Maldives. Location and facilities were perfect. The highlight was the staff which included over the top treatment from Ali and Alam. From the moment we were picked up by Ali at the boat we felt so welcome and taken care of. Both Ali and Alam went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and our favorite home in the Maldives.
We didn’t have more time here. It was perfect

Verified reviewI spent 1 week here and was very happy with my choice. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe and at ease. The manager and all the staff are very helpful and friendly. It’s the best location on the island, just a foot step away from the bikini beach and right at a calmer and smaller beach where they also serve your food. You will also find 4 restaurants few foot steps away. I enjoyed my spacious room and the daily very clean room cleaning. I also enjoyed the snorkling with mantas and whale sharks they offer among many other trips. A much needed nice and relaxing vacation after bustling India.

Verified reviewThe staff was very helpful, very nice, respectful, and they really tried to make our stay very pleasant The room was clean ,and the value for the money i would say it worth
Although the stay was pleasant,at the property was pleasant and the staff really nice....the island itself wasn't in its best shape, the island is very tiny, there is only one main beach,1000 m long, from which around 30% is under construction, and the rest is very very dirty Most of the shops aren't well equipped, you can't find even the basics, and just in case, take your own sun burn releaf creams with you, because you will need it The comerciants will try sometimes to make a penny by selling things overvalued

Verified reviewThe staff were incredible! From the moment we were collected at the dock to the moment we were returned there at the end of our trip we were treated incredibly! Everyone was friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure we were happy and had all the information we needed for our time on the island. The view from our room was priceless, and eating breakfast and dinner on the beach every day is something we will never forget. The curry (both chicken and vegetarian) was outstanding! O-dey, Ali and the rest of the staff made us feel very much at home in their lovely hotel and made are stay exceptional!
Nothing. It was all amazing.

Verified reviewNothing was too much trouble for Ali waiter/server and the chef Parvez, even offering traditional dishes that we not on the menu, like Bangladeshi and Maldivian Dahl. Oday tried his best arranging diving and trips, sometimes be frustrated by other local business who let him down. Sandra was a great dive guide.
The drains are a little smellly and traditional. The fitments/bath have seen their best days but they match the price expectation. Please note this is a local island and subject to Maldivian laws so no alcohol.

Verified reviewWe loved the whaleshark trip and Hussein was an amazing guide who spread positive energy. The hotel was very close to the beach. Friendly manager and staff. The bed was really comfortable.
We experienced some issues with our room initially, but the manager, Odey, was incredibly helpful and kind. After a couple of days, he arranged for us to move to a new room, making the rest of our stay truly wonderful.

Verified reviewReally beautiful guesthouse (more like a hotel tbh), ideally located right on the beach for amazing sunsets, and a 2 minute walk to both the bikini beach and local beach. What made our stay was Mauge and Ali, who went above and beyond what we expected. We were treated to a late evening tour to show us the beautiful glowing plankton, and they didn't just take our money for tours, we said we wanted to see Mantas, so Mauge went out of his way to come get us from the beach once they'd been spotted. Going out on their speedboat with Sandra to swim with Mantas was amazing. We usually restaurant hop, but the food was so good, we ate here all 3 nights we stayed, huge compliments to Parveyz the chef. The rooms are modern, beautifully decorated, and Alain kept them spotless. I can't recommend Endheri enough. If like us, you're debating between Dhangethi or Dhigurah, we'd choose Endheri Sunset on Dhangethi again in a heartbeat. Wonderful local island with everything you could want just a small walk away and perfect hotel with customer service beyond exceptional.
