    I recently booked a 3-night stay at Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island from August 5th to 8th, 2025. On August 3rd, I made the reservation, but within less than 12 hours, I realized I needed to make changes and immediately contacted the hotel. First, I politely asked for a cancellation and refund, explaining that it had only been a few hours since booking. This request was denied. Then, within 20 minutes of that response, I sent another request — this time asking to simply reschedule the stay to different dates, fully accepting that I wouldn’t receive a refund, but at least hoping for some flexibility. Unfortunately, Jumeirah’s response was equally disappointing. They told me that I could reschedule only if I paid the full amount again — essentially requiring a second payment of nearly $4,000 just to move the dates. The money I had already paid would not be transferred to the new dates, and no credit or voucher was offered. To me, this felt like a mockery of what hospitality should be. I didn’t receive a direct “no,” but rather a cold and robotic message saying: “Yes, you can reschedule — if you pay again.” This interaction made it very clear to me that Jumeirah is far more interested in taking your money than in creating a positive guest experience. Their customer service was robotic, unempathetic, and completely inflexible — exactly the opposite of what you’d expect from a luxury 5-star resort with top ratings. What made the contrast even more striking was my experience just two weeks earlier at OZEN LIFE MAADHOO, where I encountered a similar situation. I had to change my travel dates, and OZEN’s team handled it with understanding and professionalism. While they, too, couldn’t offer a refund, they happily allowed me to shift the reservation to new dates — no additional charges, no complications. Just respectful, human-centered service. As a business owner myself, I find Jumeirah’s policy absurd. The payment was already made.

    We rarely take the time with my wife to leave an evaluation on booking for the hotels we book but given the excellence of this establishment we are obliged to do so! We have rarely seen such a quality service! Thank you to Asif, Makua and Mahmoud for contributing to this wonderful moment. The Villas on stilts are incredible, the impeccable room cleaning service not to mention the restaurants where the food is excellent. Until the deposit of our luggage on the plane for our return, we were accompanied by staff who did not hesitate to wait as long as we did at the airport for boarding. In short, we highly recommend this hotel which deserves its success on Booking!

    the staff were very friendly and specially Thariq who assisted us in everything and manage our stay to be perfect. although they have 3 restaurants i believe they should have the option of buffet not only a la cat menus however the food taste was excellent

    Not the Maldives Escape You Dream Of – Avoid Until Changes Are Made The Maldives should be about peace, seclusion, and nature, but this resort (Jumeirah) delivered none of that. My overwater villa, meant to be a tranquil retreat, felt more like a noisy harbor – endless motorboats passing by all day and seaplanes taking off LITERALLY!in front of me. Jetski as well pass right in fron of villas but it is minor distraction .Forget serenity when engines are your constant soundtrack. The staff did their best – our butler Sanji was super attentive and helpful , and the chef went above and beyond with every evening specials( only! For us )even made borscht, which was a surprising touch( for not Russian chef ). But none of this outweighs the resort’s biggest flaw – an absolutely unacceptable location for most expensive overwater villas that ruins the entire experience. Instead of solitude and ocean bliss, you’re stuck with boat traffic and noise that’s entirely out of place for the Maldives. The villas are new, spacious, and well-maintained. Water is crystal clear and sea world around are still beautiful and rich .No bicycles on the island – minor, but still noticeable. I left exhausted and frustrated. Until the management fixes these logistical issues, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Paying for a Maldives getaway only to endure constant noise is simply unacceptable.

    Amazing staff and service. We were well taken care of by our butler for the stay Arif. Mahmoud from the beach bar was also very friendly and amazing! The villas are very luxurious and spacious. The food is also great especially the Peruvian Kayto restaurant. There are a lot of activities to do. Ideal for honeymoon goers.
