Main pool is a little small budget decor/vinyl floor not real wood (there are resort with real wood floor but you pay at least twice! ) Prepare healthy budget as everthing on the island is subject to 10% service charge and then 16% GST. if something cost $100 USD on the menu, its effectively $127.6.

Location. Price and staff We made a request for a specific room (2 bedroom over water villa on the west), Le Meridien were able to reserve the room for us! the 2 bedrooms over watervilla is spectacular! the pool is almost triple the size of the standard rooms, we didnt feel the need to go to the main pool because our pool catered for our needs. did I mention the weather was great even during low season? we stayed 10 days 9 nights, I was a bit worried before we left NZ, as the forecast said its raining for 2 weeks in Maldives but the rain only lasted couple of minutes and then its sunshine all day long. Wifi was super strong Great breakfast Sparkling water is free! Great wild life! Great kids club! We have big appetite, I didnt like to be limited so we went with bed and breakfast only, we bought dinner when we wanted. I loved the housereef, you get to snorkel and the current will take you back to the resort, felt quite safe. when you compare with others, Le Meridian stands out with its spectacular fare and I am sure we will be back.

Honestly, nothing. It’s so much better than the pictures. Sometimes prices felt a little punchy, but when we worked it out over our stay we were very happy with the value for money.

Incredible staff, exception attention to detail, picture-perfect location, great food. All round exceptional.

Really nothing negative to say. The only downside was there was so much food, it was easy to overeat! In retrospect for us a half-board plan would have been enough, with only breakfast and dinner. But that is not a negative of the resort!

The island was an amazing location. The house reef was great for snorkeling, we went every day. The beaches were brilliant white sand, and the water was clear blue. We had an overwater sunset villa, and enjoyed the sunset every day from our balcony. The villa was large, and the bed comfortable. There was air conditioning and also a ceiling fan in case you want to leave the doors open but still be cool. The food was excellent, both the buffet-style breakfast and dinner, and the restaurant lunches and dinners. We were on the full-meal plan, which ended up being too much food, since they offered starter, main and desert for lunch and dinner (when you were not at the buffet dinner), with large portions, but still excellent quality. We never had a problem getting reservations for the dinner slots we wanted. exceeded expectations. There were many optional activities. We participated in some sport activities (which were free), but did not participate in the many extra-cost activities, which were quite expensive. The only extra-activity we participated in was an extra BBQ dinner. The food was very good, including grilled lobster and other seafood, but in retrospect not necessary since the normal meals were so good. Overall it was a great holiday. The location, service and food were all above expectations.

Beautiful island, very luxurious, many activities and attractions, everyone was so nice to us both staff and other guests, the food was fantastic, the breakfast was exceptional with so many options to choose from And getting picked up from the airport and taken care of completely was a big plus into making everything stress free :)

Our seaplane departure transfers at 6:00 a.m. we were told that we would get a continental breakfast and unfortunately we only received some croissants and a coffee which did not meet our expectation of a $40 breakfast. There is some litter in the sea and on the beach which is no fault of the resort, but it's something they need to consider in the future. It would be fantastic if the resort could move towards being a completely plastic-free environment.

We arrived and we were met by the Le meridian team at the seaplane terminal who were extremely helpful in getting us to the seaplane lounge which was well equipped and comfortable. The seaplane transfer was smooth. We arrived to a welcome and a welcome drink and the check-in was easy. The staff were extremely helpful and kind throughout going above and beyond to create a wonderful and peaceful stay. The activities are expensive, however, the house reef is exceptional. Snorkeling equipment is free. There are three restaurants on site which offer variety of options. Vegetarian options are limited though the chefs were very amenable to suggestions. The rooms were elegantly designed and comfortable. The bath was exquisite. If like us you are not heavy eaters, our suggestion would be to go Bed and breakfast because the breakfast is exceptional and filling and dinner can be had for cheaper than the halfboard price. We were at the resort for our honeymoon and they provided us with wonderful hospitality to make it a memorable experience. One of the majors of drivers of us booking this resort was it had good environmental standards of which we saw. Water is desalinated on site. There is no plastic within the rooms, there was a greenhouse on site and it seems that the resort actively respects the environment around it.

The wooden pathway was a little bit loud when the buggy was going over it but nothing too bad, it didn't disturb my sleep or anything like that.

The whole resort is exceptionally beautiful and it was a joy to spend a week there even in the rainy season. The staff was really helpful, food was delicious and the lush greenery, white beaches, clear water and cozy atmosphere made it feel like paradise. We had to wait 4h in Male in the lobby for the sea plane because of a storm but it wasn't too bad. The flight was fun and the view from the plane was exciting! After arrival they gave us a short ride in a buggy and showed us the island, so beautiful! The overwater villa was breathtaking, from the moment I walked in I loved it, the view, the space and for my partner birthday they prepared a vegan chocolate cake. It was so good that we ordered another one! The bathtub with a sea view when there was a storm outside was just perfect! All restaurants were great, our favourite was Riviera for Spanish cuisine and Turquoise for a special Indian night prepared by the chef. All staff was super helpful and catered to all dietary requirements and made us feel like nothing is a problem :) We lost an earring one night and the buggy drivers helped me find it in the middle of the night! We tried snorkeling - the reef was stunning and we saw turtles and plenty of fish. We went for 1h jetski ride and saw manta rays. The spa was amazing - all treatments were rejuvenating and relaxing, we went there 3 times in a week! All in together I enjoyed the stay so much and I often think about it and how amazing trip it was.

- the buggies were very loud and it was especially disturbing late at night or early in the morning. I understand that they have to go there, but there could be a "bus stop" at the beginning of the wooden path to the water villa jetty or reduced operation hours

+ the water willa with direct access to the sea was amazing, we could see from the balcony sharks, mantas and different fishes all swimming just right next to the villa + the food in all restaurants was excellent + no strict dress code for the dinner, because of the sand paths we were able to wear flip flops fir entire stay, which was amazing

Absolutely nothing at all, it was perfect.

A dream location, literally paradise island. The amazing food was fresh and even grown on the island, what a winning combination. Phenomenal staff especially Asaf the head chef who went the extra mile at every possible point, even showing us the in house greenhouse food plantation, and then preparing his own caught fish for our final nights dinner…..what more could you wish for? NOTHING is the answer. Magnificent diving on there own boat with up to date decent equipment and an amazing array of sea life that will blow your mind, I’ve dived over 200 times and this place it top 3….. We can’t wait to return. Thanks you all for making our holiday truly magical x

Overall the hotel met all expectations as advertised. Staff/service was exceptional. Food options were pretty good (although expensive, as expected in Maldives). Resort is new. Room size was not exceptionally big but was considered good value for the price. The process to get from Male to the resort island was also very easy - thanks to the staff on the ground. All of the activities you could ask for in the Maldives is also available. There is also a private island dining option which is nice.

It was better than we could have expected. The staff and hospitality could not be faulted. We felt welcomed the minute we arrived with numerous staff waiting to greet us. Food was absolutely delicious and of such a high quality. The room was perfect! Clean, comfortable, all the amenities you could need. The resort was easy to get around and the buggy service was such a great perk.

I did not like not having more time. :) It's a paradise.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staffs was amazing. They went above and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Maldives Islands. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early at like 10 am. We got to the resorts super early and I didn’t wanna wait. So this was a big plus. The service was exceptional as well, Would definitely send all my families, friends and colleague there. Thank you for the wonderful job you did with mine birthday day. The staffs was superb!. Thank you guys. ! Every person worked smoothly, efficiently and most they really has surprise me. We had a fantastic holiday. Each and every member of the staff was super friendly and kind. The service level was beyond our expectations. The food was great. Big kudos to Executive Chef Asaf and Sous Chef Enes! I would definitely recommend this wonderful hotel to everybody.

We loved our stay at Le Méridien Maldives, from arrival to departure. The team is very attentive to the details and you can see everyone is kind and was doing all possible to meet our requests, and we were very picky about our wedding ceremony decorations and so on. All went great and we somehow felt a connection with a hotel personnel, which we find very rare. So thanks to every single person with whom we were in touch and who accommodated our request. Special thanks to Apple for our wedding ceremony organisation and to Michal who was spoiling us with delicious food and compliments.

spacious overwater villa, we were given the chance to view other rooms in case we wanted to change. fantastic staff (Choris, Robin, Deepar) and excellent food. we had Indian food for breakfast most mornings which was vegetarian and delicious!

All inclusive does not mean all inclusive. The second we arrived a 1,000 dollar deposit was taken and the resort tired to charge for everything! Even a juice was not included in the all inclusive package. One night we were even told we could not have dessert as we had already had too many starters. Staff were extremely poor, everything you want you have to go and get. Table or poolside service is non existent. So many better resorts that this place in the Maldives. Would never return here.

Rooms were very nice, Island well kept and the food was fantastic.
