Where do I start? After landing in Malé, we were meant to take a speedboat to Gaafaru, where Niru Isle is located. Due to scheduling issues (not the guesthouse’s fault), we had to wait at the airport. What stood out immediately was how the owners kept checking in on us the entire time - we felt cared for before we even arrived. Once on Gaafaru, we were warmly welcomed by Jade and Ajulan, the kindest hosts you could imagine. They personally greeted us, helped with our luggage, and made us feel right at home. The welcome drinks, the cozy guesthouse, the amazing hospitality - it was all spot on. The food was another highlight. Their in-house chef, Hashan, served up mouthwatering meals every time. Breakfasts included Maldivian dishes, eggs, tuna sandwiches, toast, coffee, and tea - simple, fresh, and satisfying. But the real standout moment? On our return, we missed our scheduled speedboat (it left early without warning). Jade immediately arranged a private speedboat - at no extra cost to us - just so we wouldn’t miss our flight. That kind of service is rare. Niru Isle isn’t just a place to stay - it’s a place where people truly care. If you want to experience authentic Maldivian hospitality on a beautiful local island, skip the overwater villas and head to Gaafaru. You won’t regret it!

I come maldives three times before and this is the best local guest house I ever stay. Staff great help and expereniced. Large room with balcony. Lot of food at breakfast and taste good. Good arrangement and good care for exclusion activities. Try all thier best to fit your need. The building look greatest in this island . Try to keep you at comfort and under shadow in any transport. My local ferry is cancelled due to weather and staff inform me two days before and arrange speed boat for quick reponse.

location: It is oppsite side of tourist beach. However, Island is not big so it is not a big problem to walk to tourist beach. The island do not have very good house reef for snorkeling beginner. However they have a coral garen(strong current, low tide) for very advance snorkeling.(I see turtle, sharks, nurse shark) However it is good for relaxing and safe in tourist beach. the tourist is all white sand and clean. (I see a dolpin just 100m away from tourist beach at evening)

Our stay at Niru Isle was truly unforgettable. The location is absolutely stunning, offering a peaceful and authentic Maldivian experience. Despite being on a local island, everything was impeccably clean and well-maintained, adding to the charm of the place. The food was nothing short of spectacular – every meal was a delightful experience, fresh and full of flavor, earning a solid 10/10. Communication with the staff was seamless and efficient, making the entire experience smooth and stress-free. I would gladly return to this little slice of paradise and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a perfect getaway in the Maldives. Thank you for such a memorable stay!”

I had an unforgettable stay at a hotel in Gafaru. The beach is nice, clean and with shades. The building itself was stunning, and they had so many activities to choose fro. . The guy that works there is Jade, he was was super friendly and made sure everything was ok, and Chef Hassan’s food was amazing. Great vibes, great people, and so much to do. I’d go back now if I could and I highly recommend it!

We really loved the staff, very welcoming and attentive to our desires. The food was excellent and varied, it was one of the highlights of the stay. The activities proposed were also very nice and at a reasonable price, special mention to the dolphin cruise and the romantic dinner. Gaafaru is a local island and it was really nice to be able to see how the locals live in Maldives, they are also very nice and do not mind the tourists as long as you respect their culture. We have had a wonderful stay at Niru Isle Maldives and will keep great memories forever. I highly recommend staying there.

The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, the sink and shower were a little wobbly but it was still okay. Also, the towels could be changed without asking but that is just a detail. Overall everything was great and that is just some points to make it even better. There is also only one beach where tourists can go. It is a beautiful one with amazing water but the fact that it is the only place where you can swim can feel a bit restrictive.

Niru Isles is a lovely guesthouse, ideal for families. Gaafaru is a very chilled small island, with a beautiful bikini beach (though all the coral is dead :(). So in a nutshell: great hotel, although if you are like me very sensitive to noise, tell the manager early on, as with the families, he might have to adjust the rooms etc. M. Hashan is very nice, and in general people on Gaafaru are very amenable with tourists.

Need some soundproofing measures to allow good rest to the guests.

We have truly enjoyed our stay in Niru Isle! The hosts are amazing. They provide great lunches and dinners for a small pay. They can take you to any of the excursions that exist on the island in the best time and the best place also for a very reasonable price. They took lots of fantastic videos for us with their GoPro underwater and sent us for free! We felt like VIP with their services, we never had to take care about anything! They also provide the masks for snorkeling so you can save some place in your luggage. The guesthouse is not very big, so you have your privacy. It was our first time in Maldives and we loved it a lot. Don’t go to expensive resort islands, guys. Go to a public island like Gaafaru and you will not regret. But before you go read about the island, also check how to get there from Male, because boats and ferries don’t go every day. Check the schedule before organizing your trip!

It was our first trip to Maldives and we went with our kids to this beautiful island of Gaafaru. There were stayed at Niru Isles and had the most wonderful time. The beds are the coziest, the food was delicious, it was a home away from home. We did snorkelling all organised by the owner of Niru and his brother. Every little detail of the stay was taken care of, from pick to drop back to transfer. We made amazing memories, and very grateful to Niru Isles for making it possible. We can't recommend this place enough! Two thumbs up!

There is nothing not to like!

charming place with reasonable price, affordable by most tourists, the staff were amazing, friendly and Super. It is a guest house in 5 stars hotel level, room was very clean and newly furnished. It is located in a local island where all the facilities are there, like restaurant, grocery, cafe, amazing and peaceful beach. Hotel can arrange all activities such as sandbank, snorkeling, sunset and Dolphin cruise for good price. Amazing experience with reasonable prices, really enjoyed my vacation over there and will come back in future. If you are looking for a spot to relax, this should be the number option for you.

Nothing Transportation from Malé airport to the island where the hotel is located available only at 03:30 PM (35$) so make sure to arrange your flight to arrive in that time, although if you arrive early you can stay in the lounge (55$) for 3 hours
