How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewWe stayed here one night here on our way of out town across from the beach with free airport shuttle and friendly staff, eager to help. I made a mistake in booking for the number of people we were and they accommodated us with kindness and were constantly checking in on us to make sure everything was ok. they brought up an extra bed and sheets. However, the beds were so so so so very uncomfortable you could feel the springs in them and they didnt have mattress protectors on them which always makes me a bit nervous when traveling.

Verified reviewCan't sleep all night because of the smell from the pillow (mix of fried onion and vomit) and the whole room. In the evening I saw a cockroach so was imagining they are nearby. Pros: stuff was nice, on the first there is a nice restaurant, view from the window to the beach

Verified reviewReally enjoyed our stay here, peaceful location but close to the beach to stroll and head to the food places in the area. We appreciated the efficiency of the airport transfer, very smooth running. The room had the space and pretty much everything we needed WiFi and aircon was strong - we would come back here again.
We received a message advising to be cautious of any messages received and with any links etc and then we did receive one with a link asking for info - it impacts on trust as these are coming through the app.

Verified review1. Free airport pick up and drop off 2. Location: 10 minutes from the airport and there are a lot of restaurants near the hotel. 3. Friendly staff.
1. Rooms are very small. 2. No closed shower. 3. They gave us a room on the 3rd floor and there was no elevator. The good thing is that the staff took care of the luggage. 4. The room's window was overlooking a construction site, so you cannot really open it. 5. Breakfast choices: they serve Maldivian bread, Mas Huni, boiled eggs, sausages, and beans. The receptionist offered us to cook some stuff ( Omelette, tuna sandwich) that weren't on the menu, but we decided to have breakfast outside

Verified reviewFree transfers were provided from the airport, check-in was quick and easy. The staff were polite and friendly, room was clean and we had a sea view. This was only an overnight stay - as we were travelling onwards mid morning - breakfast was simple - but something to keep you going. The beach is just across the road. It was our 1st views of Maldives/Indian Ocean and it was beautiful. We asked reception for a taxi to the Jetty in Male for an hours time - but with miss communication it was arriving in 5 minutes!! so we didn't get to have a walk around the area. With that said we would return to this hotel.

The rooms are small for more than 1 person. The reception is inside a restaurant. Staff is correct, but not welcoming at all. The breakfast is really bad and scarce.

The staff was good but the owner was very rude. We asked for 1 st floor but we were denied saying that it was under maintenance but later it was given to other guests. On top floor there was continuous loud noise of some repairing work which should have been avoided when guests are alloted room. Or else just don’t allot room if you want to carry on repair works. Some guests were offered welcome drinks but some were not. There was no category of rooms then why all guests were not offered welcome drinks?

Verified reviewI only liked their Airport pick and drop service and the bathroom.
Narrow stairs no lift, a common balcony on each floor, which was very small. Small room, AC was not working properly because there was a big cupboard in front of the AC. One more thing that I find most important, families who will stay in this room with children should never open the window because the bed is located near the window and children can easily fall down from the open window.
