Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicIf we had to mention a few downsides, it would be the lack of beach and surrounding area maintenance near the villas. While the main paths were regularly cleaned from leaves and pine needles, the spaces around accommodation and beach areas were left untended, which felt a bit inconsistent compared to the rest of the impeccably maintained resort. Another small issue was some guests not respecting the assigned sunbeds and designated beach spots for each room – despite this being clearly explained at check-in. It was a bit frustrating to see this not enforced.
We had a fantastic stay! The resort is stunning, exceptionally well-maintained, and unbelievably clean. Hygiene standards are outstanding – truly above and beyond. One thing worth highlighting is how allergy- and intolerance-friendly this place is. The head chef personally accommodated special dietary needs with care and understanding, which is something you don’t take for granted on a remote island. One of the biggest advantages is their own drinking water – unlimited, safe, and completely free. We've never encountered this on the Maldives before and it made a huge difference. The only thing that surprised us was that the beach wasn’t maintained in some areas – especially near the Premium Villas, which are located in a piney section of the island, with no palm trees and a rather different (less tropical) vibe. Also, be aware that there’s a big difference depending on which side of the island you stay on. The west side is windier, but in a good way – the breeze makes the heat much more bearable and we preferred it. The east side, where some premium villas are located, felt hotter, denser, and less open. In fact, we found the Superior Rooms on the west side to offer a more authentic, lush Maldivian experience – surrounded by palms and exotic greenery, with a more natural beach feel and a better overall vibe. As for the Overwater Villas – they are on the side of the island that can be quite windy and wavy (again – depending on the season). They are also positioned close to each other, with direct access to deep water. Personally, we wouldn’t feel comfortable jumping straight into such depth, but that’s just our preference based on previous experiences with overwater villas on other islands. Even though we visited during the monsoon season (July), we still had an amazing time. Yes, it rained and the wind was strong at times – but it added to the atmosphere and didn’t ruin our stay at all. Overall, we highly recommend this resort!

TurkeyWe do not recommend coming on eid days because it is very crowded. On our last day we could not go to the pool because of the crowd. Drink prices are a bit expensive.
This was our second reservation. There was a nice welcome. The refreshments were very well thought out. The staff was very polite. The food was very good and had enough variety. The rooms were constantly cleaned. A/C was very perfectly worked. The pool was very nice.

The Maldives was an ultimate dream for me, so this is why my husband and I decided to spend our honeymoon here. I had my doubts but oh my god, this is truly a paradise. 1. Location Only 45 minutes away from Male. I believe this is important in terms of how long you want to spend in the boat. I didn’t want a place too close to Male, but too long destination would make me nervous too. So, in terms of location 10/10. Also, there is amazing coral reef where we saw 2 turtles, mini sharks, dozen of other beautiful fish. 2. Privacy I believe the main reason why Maldives is so successful is the privacy you get. I have never felt this privilege to be completely alone. I didn’t see my neighbors (except for dinner and breakfast). I really enjoyed the silence of my villa. 3. Staff These people are simply the best. I feel if I ask for the moon, they will find a way to give it to me. The island is small, the staff has more people than guests, so everyone knows you. That’s perfect 4. Food Amazing food. 5. Drinks I enjoyed cocktails a lot. They never missed. Prices from 12 to 18. And they can mix anything you like. 6. Nature Absolutely breathtaking nature, both underwater and tropical. 7. Extra Almost every evening we had something to do: the musicians and bands visited us couple times, there are pool, tennis, pingping, volleyball and other activities. Snorkeling is an absolute must!

Wow! Summer island felt like paradise, I had my shoes off from start to finish! The food was incredible and the water was so clear, I’m still not over it! If you can afford it, I’d definitely recommend the water villas, waking up to the waves is something else. Thank you to all the staff who were so friendly, especially the guy at the egg station in hiya restaurant!

United Arab EmiratesOne area that could be improved is the variety of food. While the meals were fresh and well-prepared, we found that the buffet didn’t always offer enough variety to suit all tastes, especially for longer stays. A bit more diversity in the menu would enhance the overall dining experience.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning resort in the Maldives, and it was truly one of the most magical experiences of our life. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles, a refreshing welcome drink, and seamless check-in service that set the tone for a perfect stay. The resort is absolutely stunning, white sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and lush greenery all around. We stayed in a water villa, and the experience was magical. The room was beautifully designed, clean, and offered unobstructed views of the ocean. The resort’s staff were exceptional, always attentive, polite and friendly. Highly recommended!

NetherlandsBuffet food: not great for vegetarians. Themes are a mixed bag of different cuisines each night. Stick to one cuisine per night. If you ask they will optimize your preferred diet however which we appreciated a lot. Dining experience in main restaurants felt a bit like an office canteen. Premium restaurant seating is great but food is not more special actually less choice. We discussed it with the chef and gave tips to improve. Some parts of the beach have sand bags and pipes exposed giving it a run down feeling. Easy to fix. Neutral remark: 80% of visitors is from Germany. I would recommend a premium bungalow over a water bungalow. Watersport centre and scuba diving expensive. Bring you own snorkel and floaty.
Premium bungalow (stand alone) right on the sunrise beach. Baby sharks. Cocktails at the sunset bar. Housekeeping and cleaning is very good, nice guys too. Gym and badminton! Bar staff is very friendly and skillful. Overall calm atmosphere. Eco friendly bug control! Refill unlimited on filtered water! Water taxi for 45 minutes. I won’t recommend the plane to short duration.

Booking reviews helped me when I was making my decision, so I hope my feedback helps someone else too. Everything was just perfect! We spent our honeymoon here and loved every moment. The island is beautifully maintained, and you can truly feel the care and effort put into it. The staff is incredible—kind, friendly, and always ready to help. The water is crystal-clear, and the sunsets and sunrises look like something out of a movie—simply breathtaking. We met many German guests, both young and old, and they were all very polite and quiet, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. The island has no loud party vibes, just pure relaxation, love, and respect. Being surrounded by nature here feels truly healing. This trip was unforgettable, and Inshallah, we will return for an even longer stay. Helpful Tips: • Bring your own snorkeling equipment if you have it, or rent it on-site. • The sun is very strong—use the highest SPF sunscreen possible. • Carry some cash for tipping the hardworking staff. • The food is good, but if you’re on a half-board plan, bringing some small snacks can make your stay even more comfortable. We stayed in a Superior Beach Villa just 20 meters from the shore—absolute perfection! Best location ever.

RussiaThe canteen dining experience was a bit below expectations: food is good and sufficient, but somewhat simple (no seafood practically). The canteen staff would not offer you a coffee at breakfast unless you ask for it, would be slow to remove dirty plates, would not let you take a bigger table, however. They would however watch closely so that you do not take any food outside, which is understandably the rules, but should not be their task priority.
The hotel is very nice: relatively small, but cozy, the beachline is very good, there's fish to see. The facilities are very authentic and quite sufficient, not so many people. The bars staff is friendly and talkative, prices are moderate for Maldives. We resided in a superior bungalow, it was quite simple, but more than enough to my taste.

GermanyOther travellers showed us a video of how they (accidentally?) caught a reef shark and then simply cut the fishing line, leaving the shark with the fishing hook. While I am anyway not a fan of those fishing activities, it seems this was done too close to the reef (?) which I don't think is okay. The sealife underwater is so special and unique to the Maldives, it should be protected.
The island is small but very green. The room was super clean and we always had fresh beach towels. All of the staff we interacted with were very polite and professional. One aspect why we booked a room here is the additional diver centre which allowed us to explore the magic underwater life. Food was great and the variety as well, especially when you keep in mind the long way the food has to take until it reaches this island. People who are complaining should keep this in mind and also that you should maybe not expect the same food as you eat at home being thousands of kilometres away (as I overheard some fellow Germans complaining about the types of bread, like usual). Another big plus for this resort is the complimentary drinking water - one of the reasons why we as non all-inclusive guests have chosen this resort. All in all a great stay and we already recommended the resort to our friends!
