We thought the staff at Avon were very friendly and helpful!!

We've travelled a lot in East Africa so understand what the rooms are usually like. Still, the booking info did not reflect the actual situation. The a/c was ineffective The Wifi did not work. The mattress had springs poking into our backs. The shower nozzle in the bathroom was broke. No one told us when we arrived how to have hot water so we had cold showers. (The switch was in a different room.) The breakfast was very basic, one egg, two pieces of toast and a sausage. We ate two breakfasts there and the second day there wasn't even butter for toast. No jam or tomato sauce for the one egg, nothing extra.

The staff were very friendly and the owner went out of her way to help.Thanks for the wifi.It would help if the TV was operating. Otherwise pleasant .I will stay here again.

Water presure.Parking is a problem. Some inconsiderate clients that I bed has not reserve parking like I did.

Quick response very neat place and good meaner from the owner thank you for that. However I was looking for low budget place as it said on the booking app

The money for the rooms is not the same as what the app gives and when we agreed on the right amount when we got to the venue she increased the amount again and charged per person.

Daniel is such a helpful host! The place felt secure and in a good neighbourhood, good value for money

There was a big disagreement between myself and the owner. I paid for an airport pickup. Due to my luggage being lost by the airline I was offered to stop somewhere on the way so I could buy a tshirt and toothbrush, as the driver had told me there was nothing in the area shop-wise. I expected to pay more for his help, but a price was never set. When I arrived I was asked for an additional 55k! We negotiated what I considered a fair price of 70k total for the airport pick up and driving me to town, but by this point the damage was done and I felt taken advantage of. And not that the owner or driver had any intention of assisting me in times of need. The next day I realised driving me for 2 hours around town was completely unnecessary as there were shops and supermarkets within walking distance of the accommodation. I found every other driver I used in Lilongwe was charging significantly less. I stayed twice and on my second visit the room wasn’t very clean.

The staff was very welcoming. We could park our car right outside of the room.

The kitchen was clean but not equipped. No cups or utensils.

Daniel was an incredibly gracious host, going above and beyond to ensure that our needs were not just met, but exceeded. The water was always hot. We're truly grateful for his hospitality.

The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helping! They speak good English. Both of me and my friend are vegetarians and they also did a vegetarian breakfast for us.

There’s another Avon Garden in Lilongwe and first we went to the wrong one…

Daniel is an assert, young very helpful man, he did quite extras to find a place for my dinner.,as I was tired to cook and organise cooking for myself.

The road to get here is not suitable for a small car. There are alternate routes with better roads so ensure your Map settings are not on shortest route. The pin dropped takes you to a parrallell road so we had to figure that out. Water from shower was brown. Had to run it for a long while to clear. Bread was stale for breakfast.
