The breakfast was a bit too basic, and they had very few staff to handle the tables. The staff did the best they could to serve adequately, but we had to clean the plates several times ourselves.

The staff was very nice, very helpful and ready to help. Location was super good. The room and facilities were also very good.

Breakfast was not good. Limited options and they are not even there. We had to find staff to ask for the juice, the milk... We had to even wash our own dishes.

Big and comfortable rooms with kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedroom. Spacious and clean. The breakfast is not great. Funny smell in the room. Gym is ok. Location ok. Happy with the free access to bikes.

Beautiful landscape, very tropical. Clean, large room with decent kitchen but not well stocked with salt/pepper, spices, dish towels or plastic containers. Nice shower with warm water. Washer/dryer great to have. Breakfast served on outdoor patio is good, best waffles. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice to have free bicycles.

The property seems larger and more polished in the pictures than in reality. It felt it needs better maintenance, many things were not neat, cracks in wall, stairs, bumpy wooden deck around the pool, sun chairs with bird poops, many small details which affect the overall quality of experience. There were consistently leaves in the pool due to the nearby deciduous trees - but we have seen the staff trying to clean it. The bikes they provide need to be checked once in a while if they offer them, their conditions were not ideal. It seemed first days guests had to wash their dishes after the breakfast but the last morning there was a staff member doing that, it only felt a bit like a hostel, not a big deal just little confusing.

Proximity of eating spots nearby. Very comfortable beds, clean pretty rooms. Nice pool and its surroundings. Free bikes for the guests to use are really great because Tulum is perfect for biking in general.

We received a different room for the second night, which had a locked connecting room with a sliding door, which was not soundproof. We heard everything from the adjacent room as though the guests were in our room. These rooms are definitely to avoid.

Nice hotel. Perfect location for staying in Tulum. In walking distance off nice cafes and restaurants. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was simple but enough for us. The recommendation of the hotel to go to beach club Ikal was perfect. 10% discount for food and drinks. Free parking. Its location on paradise beach

There were no chairs on our balcony. We were told they were being refurbished, but it meant we could not easily sit out there to relax. The little things that would may the stay work were missing — we had to ask for bedding for our child’s sofa bed and were told those were expensive. There are no hand towels in the kitchen. Once the sofa bed was in use, there was no where to sit — and with no loungers on the balcony, relaxation spots were limited for those of us who got up before others in our family. There were two hangers in the bedroom. Seems like a little thing, but when your goal is to relax, it is not ideal to have to ask for these things. Another guest ended up giving us some hangers out of her room. The kitchen faucet was very loose and when we moved in , the fridge was pushed out two feet from the wall in the middle of the kitchen area. Some of the other rooms seemed to be under repair, and it seemed a bit messy. Breakfast was very basic — fruit, eggs, cocktail wieners, waffles, toast. One morning, the toast presented to my daughter was burnt black. Another hotel staff fixed this, but I was confused as to why the first toast was given. Not a big deal, but a part of the picture of how things seem below the standard one would assume Amaka Calma would provide.

The pool is wonderful, and the location is very good for relaxing and has access to some good places to eat. We had a rooftop terrace with a plunge pool and that was a lovely place to hang out in the evening. We had stayed here in 2022 and enjoyed the stay very much. Since then, it feels as if the hotel has declined a bit.

Not enough light in the bathroom. Bathroom not very clean and a slight smell of dump. In the kitchen, no light and no sink, coffee machine was missing although included in room description. Breakfast could be improved in choice, also some facilities ( fridge, sink etc.) were too old or dirty. Unfortunately, during our stay there were no working machines at the gym, all out of service. The hotel has lots of potential but many things could be improved ( cleanliness, old appliances exchanged etc)

The breakfast options could have been improved. It would also be ideal if there was a free shuttle from the hotel to the beach zone or the city centre.

The hotel was very well maintained and had a great aesthetic. The lobby and pool area were very nice. Our room was nice, comfortable, clean and spacious and had an air conditioner that worked very very well. There was no noise from other guests or from outside.

The rooms felt humid and therefore the bed constantly felt damp. Also, the buffet breakfast was pretty poor offering just plain eggs and watery beans, they could have put some fruit or something else out.

The apartment was a great size, the pool lovely and the staff very friendly. The location was good but a little far from the beach.

my partner thought that there was a slight smell of damp. Despite having a washing machine and stove, nil washing powder or cooking oil was supplied.

we liked that the property had a washing machine, Tupperware, and a cooler for beach days. it also had unlimited free coffee and the staff took both heavy suitcases up the stairs to our door on his head which was very impressive. The pool was nice and deep and had a pretty design with dark tiles. I liked the balcony and how much space our apartment had. The AC was exceptional and we felt cool the whole time

Very spacious and clean room, with an hammock next to the bed and a nice big balcony. The hotel is beautiful, and you can relax by the pool or have coffee and water in the garden. They have a nice little gym as well! The location is about a 20 minutes walk to the centre of Tulum, but there are a lot of nice cafes, restaurants, convenience stores and bars around.
