No hot water. This is inexcusable in a luxury hotel. Tepid showers really ruined our experience. The staff simply shrugged their shoulders and said that is how the water is there. Brrr.

This hotel is luxurious and comfortable. I loved the rooftop views.

Not the property itself but I called ahead of time to make sure we could be picked up at the airport… I was contacted by the driver and told him we had luggage with us and told him the number of passengers and he assured me there would be no problem. When he came to the airport he was late and it was a very small car, we all packed in barley being able to fit and had to put the luggage on our laps. It was the worst ride of my life. I had a big suit case on me and couldn’t see where we were going. A few times I thought I was going to yell for the driver to stop because I’m claustrophobic and have bad knee. I made it through but it was bad,

I don’t like that the walls are yo thin and you foul literally hear everything. Also the movement of people walking in the floor upstairs.

The parking issue is a bit annoying but it is understandable in Guanajuato, in general parking is difficult. The hotel can arrange for valet service

For the price, I was a bit surprised to see that we are facing an interior hall/staircase where all the guest voices where echoing straight into the room. Also not great for privacy as your conversations can be easily heard. No windows to close so you can keep the sound out and light in. Just wooden panels. So you have to choose between light or privacy.

Bed was super comfy, room well decorated staff very nice. We needed to iron our clothes for a wedding and they provided immediately a steamer which was super great to use.

I could't figure out how to make the coffee maker work, maybe it was broken? It would have been nice to be able to access the rooftop patio for sunrise.

The location was great, very close to the Mercado and Jardin. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was great, the room was clean and designed with a great attention to detail. The view from my bedroom window was wonderful

We had to change our reservation because of a health issue. We were unable to drop a room on the front end and the room (as a new reservation) we added on the back end was an upgrade from the room we were in. When we checked in, my husband asked if could be in the upgraded room for the entirety and did we owe additional money? He was told we had been upgraded and there was no additional charge. Two days later, our credit card was charged for the additional night, and we were told we would need to change rooms. After we packed up, my husband went to arrange for our luggage to be moved to the new room and was then told that we could stay in the room we had and that it was the suite. It was not.

The restaurant was a rooftop and was quite lovely, though a bit chilly. Room was off the street - comfortable and quiet.

Whilst most staff were very pleasant, particularly the guy who parked the car and the one at reception who spoke good English, one girl on reception was very surly failing to communicate by Google translate, telling me in Spanish that I “must explain properly in Spanish” (which tried to do but speak only poorly) and even ignoring at least one direct request. Obviously it is a Spanish speaking country, but, if you target an international clientele, you need to have some willingness to at least try to find ways to communicate, which most Mexicans are very willing to do. The rooms overlooking the street are very noisy in the evening because they are on the mariachi band “circuit”. However you could just view this as a free concert and it stops by around 11 pm so we slept fine.

Lovely terrace and views, comfortable, well designed rooms. 5 minutes or less walk from the centre. Also a nice small pool.

Our room has a window with the street, on the night a lot of noise from the street. They can put a better window to isolate the noise from the street.

There's an instant espresso machine in the room with 2 capsules provided - 1 regular and 1 decaf. You can exchange the decaf for regular, but you have to pay if you want additional coffee. When the room is over $200/night, It did seem a little bit chintzy to provide only 1 coffee pod per person and charge 45 MXN ($2.29 USD) for each additional coffee pod. Also, you can't charge on-site services to the room (breakfast, bar purchases, or massages), which is only slightly inconvenient. Overall, an enjoyable stay. We would definitely stay again.

The location was pretty good. Close enough to the action but not on a busy street, so it was quiet. We were in the terrace room with the hot tub. The room was prettier than pictured, and the hot tub was very nice. They cleaned it out every morning, which was nice. The air conditioner worked well. The bed was comfortable. Toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion) were high quality lavender peppermint scented. Breakfast for purchase was very good and prepared fresh. The rooftop bar is gorgeous and comfortable, and they have a limited food menu. The French fries were very good, and the gin and tonics were the best ever. We had on-site 90-minute massages which were both excellent. They don't do couples massages, but they were able to schedule us both at the same time. They arranged transportation for us from San Miguel de Allende to Guanajuato as well as to the airport, which was helpful. Staff was generally pleasant, especially one younger lady who seemed to be the most fluent in English, and the man working at the bar.

Hot water was not available for showers. While the hotel is actually pretty insulated from city noise the rooms themselves are not very sound proof which means you can clearly hear what is happening in the courtyard where many of the rooms face. The night we stayed a couple had hired a private saxophonist to serenade them while they danced in the courtyard. Charming in theory, but not so much when it is taking place 10ft from the door to your room and it’s just getting started at 11pm. The acoustics in the courtyard really amplify sound and ear plugs didn’t even muffle the sound. Perhaps plan for not so great sleep. The hotel is not flexible for early check in, like not even an hour early without paying a pretty hefty fee.

The hotel is located right in the middle of the center and just a couple minutes walk from a number of sights, restaurants and shops. It was modernized but still offered rustic charm and was very clean and well kept. As many others have mentioned, the rooftop bar is amazing!

There were a couple of roaches that were making me grossed out but I spoke to management and they agreed to reimburse money for the inconvenience.

The taxi driver couldn't figure out where it was, so it took us several attempts to find it late in the evening when we arrived, after a long day of travel.

The scenic bar/restaurant up top with great staff like Gustavo, was excellent and enjoyable! Very relaxing!
