Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelizeAs the property is still new they are promoting and advertising too much. As I and my family was end up on their promotion and advertising on membership. Our 3 hrs were wasted on their brief and end up purchasing the next holiday bookings.
Excellent, in terms of facility, activity, staff, rooms. Beach was free of seaweed’s during this time as well.

United StatesOnly downside is that the beach is not developed. Sargassum was a spoil sport.
Great hotel with brand new amenities. Everything is new and quality stuff. Food was very good. Very personal dinner experiences. Lots of activities for kids. Sound system in the theater was top of line and so was the case with the gym, spa, nightclub and everything. Very hard working staff and high quality drinks.

United StatesOur reservation was for a F&F ocean view room( 2 adults & a baby) as we checked in our room we realized that the hallway & the room has a strong musty & moldy smell & since my daughter has a severe allergic reaction to mold we requested to see another room, they told us that they don’t have any other room for the type we have reserved. It took them 5 hours to show us a downgrade type of room in different areas of the resort & finally we were settled in a room on 8 floor which was absolutely odor free. Why it took them 5 hours to give us that room have no idea. And they said they can’t adjust the rate & that has to be addressed to Booking. Com since our reservation was made through them . We got downgraded to a 2 Queen beds without any compensation by the Ava Resort.

United StatesBook for at least 5 days because there is so much to do! They are new so they are still building their entertainment staff that does pool activities. They have it on family side but would have been nice to have entertainment at adult only poolside. They should also keep the pool bars and pool service open later after 5pm. They still don’t have bars on their beach to make being on beach more enjoyable. It was still a great experience though.
Expansive, many different restaurants and activities like bowling, laser tag, escape rooms, canoeing, paddle boarding, tons of bars poolside and food service. 24 hour room service was tartly and fast delivery.

United StatesVeranda (the Italian restaurant) needs a lot of improvement! The staff was very dull, they only gave us 2 menu for a group of 4 of us, the server gave our son a glass of wine then a supervisor came by and took it away, the server came back every minute or so and ask if we were ready to order, it was extremely rushed and they never even brought my husband’s meal. We were in and out of there in 38 minutes. Very disappointing because Italian is our favorite cuisine.
The cocktail bar, pool, ice cream, taco shop, Copal, Black Iron, Kita, Ava Kids, swim up bar, buffet, valet, front desk, concierge, laser tag, bowling, forza stimulator and coffee shop were all exceptional! The room service food was delicious!! Cristian, Francisco, Heber and Jose at The Cocktail Bar were truly phenomenal! Roberto from the breakfast buffet was sensational! Our room was stunning! The bedroom in the front of the room was perfect for our teenage son. The king bed with the sofa pull out was perfect for my wife and I with our 5 year old daughter. The terrace with the hot tub was relaxing and we utilized it multiple times every day of our stay!

United States1. The pool was cold. Even though it was +85 out. 2. Check in & check out - LONG LINES. A bunch of mistakes on our bill, ($600 worth) all in their favor. They put our two "together" rooms across the resort. There was another mixup on room occupancy and it took 1 hour to sort out. Very grumpy check in guy. 3. Restaurant reservations! If you don't make reservations in advance you are stuck eating at the buffet, which is OK but not great. And if u r 15 minutes late they GIVE your reservation away - no joke, we learned the hard way. I was up and in line at 8pm to get a reservation or we were doomed to the so-so buffet. U feel like u win the lottery when u get a reservation slot. 4. THE WORST PART - the hard sell/ sales pitch. They offer you a bunch of free stuff (like massages/golf/excursions etc) to sit through their never ending sales pitch. 2+ hours. 5 different guys tried to sell us, HARD. It was utterly exhausting. I will never fall for that again, no matter what anyone offers me!!!!! 5. Alcohol. You have to ask for the specific brand u like or they give u the cheap stuff that gives u a hangover.
There are good things about the resort & bad. The good: The hotel is brand spanking new, rooms are gorgeous/spacious. Resort is cool, pool amazing. Waiters and waitresses nice and friendly. The restaurants (if you get a reservation) are beautiful and there are some amazing dishes on the menus.

United StatesPlace smelled of paint due to them fixing something on my floor. Cosmetically the hotel needs a lot of help, for the price I paid it was not up to par. Also if you have older teen kids there is nothing for them to do that is included in the all inclusive rate but eat. Bird control is badly needed..Birds basically stalk the pool area waiting to take your food. Bird poop on a lot of the seats and one my room balcony….Also they need more waiters at the pool area. The view from your room is amazing but the view once you get to the pool is nothing but trees and a wooden fence. I kept tripping getting out of the elevator because it’s not leveled correctly & also kept hurting my foot on something in the pool. Also witnessed a women breast feeding at the pool bar which is natural I guess
The steak house Black iron food was amazing…but it was very hard to get in…I had to wait outside restaurant for hours to get a table bcuz it was already booked for the week I stayed.

United KingdomLong walk to most places, my room was at one end of the resort. The resort is approx 1/2 a mile from one end to the other. Hard sell at presentation that I did not appreciate and wasted hours of my precious holiday time. No day room for travellers flying in evening. Security give taxis/uber a hard time to get into resort if not booked through them, despite me giving all information in advance. Reception staff are very slow and not always welcoming. Always seemed to have to do a bit of admin each day - never have I had to visit reception on a daily basis on any holiday I’ve had. My room door did not lock the 1st night and morning and took over a hour to sort out.
It’s has loads of different food options and I found the staff serving food inside and out very attentive. Great activities for children and teens. Lots to do, loads of places to go.

United StatesThe sea is terrible, un-swimmable due to large amounts of seawead in the water and on the beach, which is never really cleaned although they work on it every day. It has beautiful white sand, but, there is just no point in going to the beach. They are right under the end of the runway so planes taking off are constantly flying over. The food was generally pretty good but it's inconvenient that there are no buffets in the evening and you have to make restaurant reservations every day.
Building and pools are very nice.
