Location is a little out of the city center, reachable with a 15-min walk

Ayook hotel is a magical place in Oaxaca. The style of the hotel common areas and room is impeccable. The breakfast is absolutely stunning, made with fresh local ingredients, changing everyday and providing options for all palates, served to the table in front of our room every morning, with a smile. The super kind team was available 24/7 and made us feel very safe. Parking lot upon request was very useful for our rental.

Despite being pretty, the wooden window and door have a very poor sound isolation, and in the morning it is almost impossible not to wake up when other people walk by or have breakfast. Overall clean room, but it seemed like the floors had not been mopped (black feet after a few minutes walking bare foot on the first day).

It was perfect.

The hotel was extraordinary. The architecture and decor are superb. I felt like I never wanted to leave. The shower was amazing. They served us breakfast right outside our room. I can't say enough about this place. The walk to town is about 10 minutes at most. The staff is outstanding. I definitely will be back.

Everything about this place is incredible. Nice distance from the center but removed enough from the thick of things to feel like a calm respite after each day’s adventures. Clean, well run, beautiful facilities. Rooms are top notch, breakfast service right outside your room on the terrace. Awesome spot!

Beautiful property. The staff were all incredible. The breakfasts were so generous and delicious. It was extremely easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go (or quickly take a cab). There are 2 large markets across the street (including a pharmacy). I can’t wait to stay here again!

You could say it is a little minimal but personally I liked this; there was no hair dryer in the room but the reception gave me one when asked As a solo traveller it’s a little far from the main area to walk back at night but taxis are cheap and easy to flag down

The only thing that we would have improved was the water pressure and the warm water in the shower. I think this is common throughout Mexico though so we really didn't mind. It was hot enough outside to enjoy room temperature showers anyways!

This hotel was a spectacular Oaxaqueño oasis in the almost very center of Oaxaca. From the outside, it doesn't look like much, but then when you step in, it's a terrarium of Oaxaca's characteristic beauty and details that were the main reason I wanted to spend some of my honeymoon in Oaxaca. The staff are so attentive and friendly and the breakfast was always what we looked forward to in the morning. Right outside of the room, you can enjoy a delicious homecooked breakfast that keeps you full until the afternoon. The staff made it extra special for us also because it was our honeymoon <3 we really appreciated that and we are telling all of our friends to stay at Ayook if they ever go to Oaxaca. Thank you for your amazing and memorable hospitality.

The building was gorgeous and the staff was exceptional. There is also safe gated parking if you have a car. There is a gorgeous roof deck to hang out on too.

Unfortunately there was no window in my bedroom (a tiny one on the court but no sunlight). It's just due to the nature of the building.

The hotel is really beautiful. Amazing view from the terrace too! The breakfast was great. I felt super welcomed!

Rooms are a bit noisy and windows open into courtyard. The rooms can get a bit stuffy and the locks on the doors take a bit to perfect in unlocking. All in all a lovely place though l, with earplugs (I never travel without) and strategic airing of the room all good!! It's a bit of a walk (10-15mins) into the main centre, but criollo is a beautiful restaurant around the corner and plenty of other things close by.

If not very far from it, it is on the outskirts of the city center, facing a busy avenue. If staying in the ground floor the rooms face the courtyard, thus if you want privacy, you won’t open the windows, so the room won’t get natural light, but we didn’t mind!

We had a wonderful stay at Ayook. Very close to the centre of Oaxaca, within walking distance from all the main points. Very friendly staff, great breakfast and very clean facilities. The hotel has a traditional, stylish, and at the same time modern vibe. While it’s on a busy street, the moment you enter the hotel you find yourself in the serene patio where you can enjoy a coffee or read a book outside of your room. The only recommendation to the management would be to consider having a mini fridge in the room.

Beautiful hotel. Every day we looked forward to coming back to the hotel to unwind and hang out. The little connected cafe was great and we ordered from there multiple times as well. The staff was always available and helped us with any questions we had. The breakfast was also amazing and the servers were so attentive and kind.

The location is a short walk from the Centro..( 5-10 min) on a busy, noisy, and somewhat exhaust-laden street. Once inside the door all that is blocked out and it is quiet and comfortable inside. Overall we felt the location was good.

The staff was very pleasant, always available and ready to assist. The kitchen and housekeeping staff were friendly, and provided excellent service. Breakfast was promptly served when we sat down, and was good with fresh OJ, fruit, rolls, coffee and a variety of hot choices that varied every day. The hotel is nicely appointed, quiet and comfortable. The room had a functioning climate control device (AC) that worked well, though somewhat noisy. The bathroom was adequate.. cleaned daily. The only complaint is that water pressure is low and the wait for water to become hot for shower is surprising long, though with time there was plenty of hot water.
