Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MexicoParking accommodations.
The room was very updated and modern. The view was excellent and the staff very accommodating. A free pass was given to use the trolley to get downtown. The pass also made it possible to jump to the front of the line when boarding the trolley. The only concern was parking. The parking is several yards away and I don’t know how someone with disabilities would manage steps to get to the hotel.

AustraliaWonderful location with amazing views. Using the funicular was such a joy. We had booked by accident a room without a balcony and limited views but were able to change without a fuss. We could hear the music from the square all night. It was fun.

GermanyThe toilet seat had a texturised window to the corridor. I bet people could see me seating there when I was in the toilet. Light came into the bathroom (and room) when there was someone on the rooms hall/corridor.
The view from the balcony is just amazing! The breakfast is ok, generous. Unlimited cable car rides with your stay

United StatesBeautiful, clean hotel with balconies overlooking the city. The hotel has secure dedicated parking about 100 feet away from the hotel. The unlimited funicular pass is an added bonus. This makes accessing downtown a short, one minute ride down the side of the mountain.

United StatesThe bathroom door in our room was made of tempered glass, which didn't offer much privacy. Additionally, turning on the light in the middle of the night illuminated the entire bedroom.
The panoramic view and location are fantastic. The stay includes passes to the funicular, giving you priority in line, which was very useful when the line was long. The breakfast was excellent, and the hotel looks even better in person than in the pictures.

PolandThe highlight of our stay in Mexico. The view from our balcony was spectacular. The free funicular rides were fun too. We also enjoyed the jacuzzi. To get there we used uber that drove us to the Monumento de Pipila (the viewing point above the hotel). From there you take 2 small flights of stairs down (2-3 min).

NetherlandsPlease replace the beds and especially the pillows. Then the room would be great. The current bed is really too small and unstable for two persons unfortunately (the mattrass is good by the way).
The location is beautiful. We had a (free upgrade after asking) room with large balcony overlooking the city. A great benefit is you can use the cable car for free and skip the line. Also very friendly staff!

United StatesRoom 4 does not have heating and the bathroom wall is exposed to the hallway lighting, which made it very difficult to sleep the first night. But, we got a different and bigger room and it was great! Loved it.
If the funicular is in operation (which it was during my stay), this is a great place to stay. The views of Guanajuato are amazing and the convenience of the funicular (included) is tremendous. The base of the funicular is two-minute walk from the main plaza (Jardin). Getting to the parking and walking down the steep stairs to the hotel can be taxing if you have poor knees, but once at the hotel it is all great. We needed to change rooms because of too much lighting on room 4, and the staff were super accommodating and friendly. They were very generous with us and gave us a bigger room. Breakfast is included and was good. Great service. Also, great place to avoid the late night noise of the town if you are an earlier sleeper (like me). I will stay here on my next trip to Guanajuato.
