The staff are the biggest asset here but the facility is an absolute gem too with whimsical art everywhere that is devoted to local flora, fauna, and the sea and the guests general way being and imagination. I have never encountered a higher level of service in my extensive travels. Everyone was friendly, informative, welcoming, and so warm hearted 💕. They were always willing to go above and beyond to provide for the guests. The location is awesome on the malecon. Facilities are well cared for and minor requests spontaneously attended to. Now on to the restaurant on site....5 star food, staff and quality in this gem. Open from morning to late evening with a beautiful view of the Carribean Sea and passing fishing and diving boats. Breakfast is included with your stay and delicious! The malecon is a very safe place to walk in the evening and I met many delightful people and pets. The beach is clean, the water perfect, and the view spectacular. Parking is free and onsite. I met the owner who was an awesome and friendly person and deserves great praise for creating this paradise! He exemplifies the spirit of National! 🙏❣️🏖️🍔🌮🍹

Cabin a bit too small for a family, staff doesn’t speak very much English which can be a challenge.

I loved the location of my cottage on the malecon and the bright colors in the rooms and the decor. Staff were very helpful and the food at the on site restaurant was delicious if not a bit expensive! Due to the location there are many other choices available to dine with at great prices. My cottage had only one problem with all the old electrical outlets covers needing replacement for a more functional use. The a/c was delightful! Sargassum was not a problem at the resort beach but quite horrific down one end of the shoreline. I highly recommend Nacional Beach Club Bungalows!

We didn't eat there,the complimentary breakfast was OK,nothing special ,there was no shade on the terrace for breakfast. It was a cruise ship day,so it became crowded during the day, quiet in the evening.

Stay at the beach, nice bungalows, the bonus is using the beach loungers even after cheak out time at 12:00. Seating area for the evening in front of the bungalow. Nice lady at the reception. They try to keep the beach clean as much as they can, the water is shallow, you can't swim there.

In the beach bungalow, the air con blows directly on the bed and if you turn it off, the bungalow gets hot immediately. If you are sensitive to aircon, keep that in mind or check the setup of other rooms.

We had a beach bungalow with a small terrace facing the promenade. The location is perfect and the beach club is the best we have seen in Mahahual. The style of the bungalows and the artwork is lovely as well. The staff is nice. The food and drinks were good. The bed was comfortable. Water pressure was good. On weekends it can be a bit louder because of music from the bar nearby but it stops at a reasonable hour. During the week it was quiet. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Service on the beach could be better. We had to look for a waiter to order food/drinks but once you got them they were great.

The sheets and bed linens are old and overwashed. They felt like polyester, not cotton, so they were muggy and too hot in that humid environment. The bath towels were old too - so an upgrade on linens would be helpful. The refrigerator was a bonus but an ice tray or ice bucket would be nice. Deluxe Bungalow with sea view is beautiful, but up a steep flight of stairs (no elevator) (Two Beds) The Beach front Bungalow is directly across from the water - no stairs - one large bed. Excellent location

Excellent breakfast, excellent coffee. Very nice environment, music selections in the dining room were perfect. Early in the morning a quiet, comfortable place to write in my trip diary. Afternoons and evenings were busy by the pool, but dinner was delicious; bbq'd barracuda and the best grilled veggies we had in Mexico. The artwork in this hotel was wonderful - amazing paintings and mosaic tiles everywhere.

Unfortunately our bungalow was right beside the sewage drain, which was backed up on the first day and was extremely smelly. They did have someone come and fix the first day though.

Breakfast was included and options were very good.

Beach facilities can get taken over a bit by day trippers from the cruise ships during the week. Not too much of an issue when we were there, though

Perfect location on the beach front in Mahahual. Near to some good restaurants. Lovely staff that are very keen to help and provide great service. Has an authentic Mexican feel about it. Not luxury but we were very comfortable.

The time went by to fast !

The most perfect room with a view of the ocean and the cruise ships passing . Evan and his staff made our holiday vacation just right . Perla and Rafael couldn't do enough to make it just right. We had the best anniversary dinner on the terrace. Rib eyes end cocktails..the portions were huge ! We loved NBC so much we already booked our next visit ..this will be our new go to place . Diana gave the best massage ever. great job amigos !

Had a problem with the drain outside the room, not their fault though. Pool was a bit off because of the very bad weather in the days prior to our arrival

Food plentiful and excellent quality. Deal with the free breakfast very good...full till mid afternoon! Properly made/mixed cocktails using fresh ingredients. No pre-mix. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Good sense of humour. English spoken if you couldn't speak Spanish. Right on the beach. Good sunbeds.
