How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewAbsolutely fabulous. This property is like a magical fairy land in the jungle. The photos here don’t even do this place justice. The property itself is a work of art, filled with art. Saul is also an incredible host. My family thought it was as amazing staying here. Saul even made us a special breakfast and coffee. Did not expect it to be this wonderful. Wish we had discovered it earlier and spent more time here!
It is hot in July, no A/C, but there are fans that definitely help! Still. 10/10 staying here!!

Verified reviewIt is a great experience, beautiful. But no, a.c . You will have a full effect of the jungle. Every room has its own character. It is well thought out. Absolutely loved it. The room gets air flow, and no bugs come in, and you can't see in the rooms either l.
No, a.c..

Verified reviewSaul, the owner, is a more than perfect host. He made us feel warmly welcome from the moment we arrived. Saul went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed this piece of old, local jungle to the max, passionately explaining how he developed it from scratch. You feel like you're in the middle of the jungle, yet only 10-15 minutes (by car) from the Cancun airport terminals. We had family and friends with us. They were kindly allowed to enjoy his beautiful, serene and idyllic nature surroundings and pool before we dropped them off at the airport. Until then they spent time with us in the ambience-filled rustic, open, poolside kitchen Saul is a multi-artist architect (photographer and wood craftsman too) and his personal decoration touch in most of the rooms gives the place an extra feel-good vibe. After a good night's rest, we asked him to join us for the tasty breakfast he prepared so we could continue our great conversation. Because of our interest in art, he spontaneously gave us an explanatory tour of his personal art collection and the design elements of the other rooms (that are more like suites. We had a full day before our flight back to Europe but had such a good time, so we simply hung out there instead of going to the beach (which, btw, is only 10 minutes away) or the nearby Underwater Museum. This is a perfect place if you want to be away from it all for a while, However, also if, like us, you're in between flights or a Maya Train connection and want something personal and different from the standard airport hotels, either starting or ending your stay in serene fashion (...but with super internet connection!). We will definitely be back for more than one day and night!
There's nothing not to like. However, if you're not into a nature-reserve type of place and need/crave cable TV (because you don't know how your laptop or tablet can serve as one...), want lots of people around you and nightly entertainment, then this place is not for you.
Greatfull its not enought after receiving this beatiful comment: wellcome always

Verified reviewOh what a little haven to relax in before going to Cancun airport. Saul was the perfect host. He’s such a lovely guy and it shows that he wants your experience to be the best it can be. As soon as we arrived our shoulders dropped and we relaxed right into life between the trees. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We had a dreamy outdoor shower and our room was stunning with original stone walls and beautiful old doors. Really clean everywhere. It’s like a little adventure moving through the trees to get to the kitchen and pool area.
Nothing.

Verified reviewA very simple yet attractive accommodation in a glamping-in-the-jungle style. The host is very kind and welcoming. We recommend having a car. The location is on the outskirts of town in a secluded spot, yet it is comfortable and safe.
There’s nothing specific to criticize. The accommodation is very unique, with a natural style that may surprise some travelers.

Verified reviewThis is a very unique hotel with a boutique vibe. You are really in the jungle. Loved the pool and outdoor shower. Saul took good care of us, helping us order food and arranging transportation for us. The airport is only a 15 min drive away.

Verified reviewThis beautiful property in the middle of the jungle embodies the art of living. Saul, the proprietor, is such a kind and intelligent soul. He takes in all of his guests as if they were family and will cook and eat dinner with everyone if they want. He also personally cooks you breakfast if you like. We had so much fun and at times it felt like I was in some kind of reality show with a cast of wild characters and lots of really good food. A lot of people go there because it's close to the airport and stay one night but it's really worth at least a few days I think. Make sure you take his advice on the airport shuttle that he recommends.
Not a thing

Verified reviewI liked everything, although unfortunately I could only spend a few hours there. The hotel (house) is amazingly nice decorated, you feel like sleeping in the jungle, but at the same time very comfortable. Saul was very kind and helpful. I got a bigger bed than the originally booked. He also gave me some tips about the area and we had an interesting conversation with a beer. There is also a pool, but unfortunately I wasn‘t there at the right time to enjoy it. I hope one day I can come back and enjoy it for longer. Nice dogs as well.
It‘s not easy to get to the hotel and the taxi/uber drivers get confused. Be aware of the mosquitoes in the area
