Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesA new building next door went up and their large air conditioner is extremley loud if you are staying on that side of the hotel and on the 4th floor. It kept our friends up all night, and the hotel's only response was to provide each of them with a pair of ear plugs. They were in room 410. We on the other hand were below them in room 110, and never heard the noise.
The breakfast had a large variety of options and was really good. Tables inside and outside for your chosing. Service was fantastic and staff was accommodating and so friendly.

United StatesHad to relocate rooms due to malfunction on wifi. In the second room, the restroom didn't flush. the tv only had several options for certain channels. Beds were very uncomfortable at the edges too soft due to usage.
Front desk staff. Two servers at the restaurant.

Canadait was the wrong hotel. It is a cute older hotel, which has appealing decor, and we liked the boutique feel of the Freeman in Zona Dorada, but it was not what we were looking for.
We had our hearts set on staying at the only Freeman Hotel we knew about in Mazatlan - the old classic '50s hotel in El Centro. We had no reason to think there was any other Posada Freemen hotel. After we had visited the Freeman Hotel in El Centro, Mazatlan, we were charmed, so went home and booked the Freeeman for Feb 14th 2024. When we tried to check in, the extremely disappointing news came to light - there are 2 hotels with EXACTLY the same name, in Mazatlan. And they would not exchange our booking, saying the hotels had nothing to do with each other. So we went to the Zona Dorada, a location in Mazatlan which we are not particularly fond, since it is full of American and Canadian tourists and tourist bars, restaurants, tourist gift shops, etc. We like the old classics.

United StatesNon potable water at hotel so had to rely on bottled water to drink, make coffee.....hotel provided one bottle per room per day. Hot water heaters were being switched out for new ones so we did have to go without hot water a few hours over two days.
The breakfast buffet is very good and the serving staff very friendly and helpful.

MexicoWas supposed to have ocean or mountains view , but on my window there was the neighbor hotel that was very noisy like a power generator or something doing noise 24/7, had to have the window closed
Hotel was great and very clean, the pool water was warm which was a plus! Seems the hotel was built many years ago but maintenance is great Breakfast buffet was good and also there was a coffee maker in the room The hotel personnel were very gentle

MexicoIf you are in the pool/tanning area you are not allowed to consume any food or drink of your own. You have to buy it from the bar. Parking is a bit small so if the hotel is fully booked you'll have to leave the keys in the reception so they can play tetris with all the parked cars. Nothing major though, overall a great value for your money.
The location is great, hotel is not to big so service is more personalized. The breakfast buffet is excellent, but their lunch and dinner menu is a bit simple. Compatible with vegetarians and vegans upon request. They have 2x1 happy hour for cocktails from 3-4pm.

AustriaRooms aren't really the newest ones. There is a generator from the neighbour's hotel (hotel Viaggio) that runs 24/7 and is incredibly loud, the second day we couldn't sleep at all. The bathrooms are really small so if you are over 1.90 m tall prepare to duck even when showering.
Acces to the beach was nice.

United StatesThe rooms were not clean. The sheets were stained and not washed, unacceptable. The floor wasn't swept or mopped, it was dirty. The toilet was dirty, only the seat portion was cleaned but the bottom was pee stained and dirty. The housekeeper needs better cleaning skills, at least change the sheets! Not acceptable for the price
The pool was very nice and in front of the ocean. The breakfast buffet was decent.

Ceiling Fan in the room did not work, and they did not have a replacement or the part to fix it. Housekeeping was terrible.
