Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

DenmarkThe tin roof was super loud when it rained heavily at night.
Super friendly hosts, who could provide tips about a walk to a local waterfall as well as other local attractions. We could order pizza for dinner, and either eggs, empanadas, or crepes for breakfast. The outdoor kitchen was a nice place to sit for meals.

United KingdomThe cabanas could be upgraded, as well as the shower.
Dos Amates is a lovely, very green and lush village. I felt very relaxed and calm there, hearing all sorts of birds and animals thriving all day. The outdoor kitchen is spacious and was very convenient for my meals. Loved having the company of kitties! The hosts Andres and his wife are the best! Attentive, welcoming and generous, we had great conversations! The breakfast they offer is delicious. Thank you for being so kind and welcoming!

NetherlandsThe hosts are extremely friendly and helpful, they even advised us to get fresh eggs at the neighbours. The location is well-maintained and beautifully situated in a small tranquil village that has a rich diversity of birds, waterfalls and occasional sounds of cumbia music.

AustriaDo keep in mind that you need to consider time and money for transport from and to places. Nothing I dislike, just something that visitors should be prepared for. Thankfully the host provides transportation at a fair price whenever they have time.
The host and cabañas were absolutely amazing. We booked one of the day tours they offer and were blown away by all the beauty the area has to offer. The cabañas are what I would call in the middle of nowhere, the perfect place to disconnect from the stress and busy daily life.

GermanyThis is a very nice Cabaña hotel in a beautiful setting. I stayed in the stone cabañana that has two very comfortable beds and even -if you want/need it- aircon. The village is tiny and has only few opportunities to shop for food, so stock up before you come if you are travelling by bus/taxi. The people are very friendly all round. I found it a wonderful place to stay away from town/city hassle (no phone signal in the village either, but wifi in the Cabañas). Andrés is a very friendly host and can show you a lot of interesting places in the area if you want to book a tour with him.

AustraliaLeaving!
Dos Amates and the surrounding areas of Las Tuxtlas are absolutely beautiful, but staying at Cabanas Ixaya was the best part. The cabanas are very comfortable and clearly made with love and thoughtfulness. There are fans, great beds, mosquito nets, a fridge in each room and ample space. The kitchen is well equipped with a lovely outlook on the property. It is so quiet, and the views from the cabanas and surrounding streets are of lush forest and mountains.. the online pictures don't do the property justice! The owners, Andres and Blanca, are wonderful, hospitable, kind people who made us so comfortable. This stay was a highlight of our trip to Mexico.

ItalyThe cabañas are open to the external environment, therefore a variety of insects like scorpions can access the cabaña at any point. Luckily there is a net sorrounding the bed so you can sleep safely. The toilet and shower are shared as advertised, and they are outside, also very accessible by insects, so it is a bit scary if you're not used to nature life.
We really enjoyed the nature, the local animals like parrots and the starry sky at night.

South Africalittle privacy with the shared shower.
Quite nice cabins. The shared facilities (bathrooms, common room) depend on who is sharing with you
