Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNo elevator, lots of stairs. This might be a problem for some people. I expect elevators are few in this colonial city. There is assistance in getting your bags up the beautiful stairs.
Beautiful property, highlighting the colonial beauty of México. Large, comfortable room with a modern bathroom and terrific bathtub with ample hot water and big soft towels. Some rooms have showers. Comfortable bed. Location great on a quiet street, a few blocks from the jardín (central plaza) and cathedral, shops and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff, delicious breakfast cooked to order served in the comedor (dining room) of this beautiful old house.

United StatesSteep narrow stairs. They were beautiful stairs in a very old building, but difficult for me. I was given help with luggage. It would be difficult to find a hotel with an elevater (which would have spoiled the ambiance) in San Miguel.
The beautiful building and appropriate furnishings. Proximity to the plaza and historical center. The delicious cooked-to-order breakfast. The comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Big soft towels. The lovely patios everywhere . The kind staff, The helpful manager, Luis. My bathtub. The rain shower. The views from my windows.

United StatesThe breakfast was ok but convenient (not a lot of choice or variety).
A quiet street, near everything. The staff was very accommodating, friendly, and professional. The rooms were comfortable. Really liked the character of the place and the manger. Lots of little areas to hang out and the art was cool

United StatesThe room was tiny though we did have a huge terrace. Although breakfast was custom made, it was adequate but pretty limited
Couldn’t ask for a better location! Central, but on a small, quiet street.

United StatesNO COFFEE AVAILABLE UNTIL ALMOST 0830 a.m. when breakfast is served!! AND, it was not good coffee btw. At least have a coffee maker (or pod-type) available for guests when they want it! This is not difficult... also, staff prefer to serve you but when there is a full house, the nice woman working can only do 2 cups at a time... staff not pleased when guests helped themselves. Oh, well. Put a carafe on the table. Our room, BOTERO, had it's only ventilation/window on the hallway so for any fresh air, it must be left open and this can be noisy. Also, I had to go into the hallway later in the evening to turn off the hall lights, otherwise room much too bright for sleeping (forgot to pack an eye mask). No one's fault but our room butted up to a house undergoing major construction: too noisy during the day, started at 0700 and couldn't take an afternoon siesta!
Terrific location: Del Pueblito is a beautiful street in comfortable walking distance to 'tourist' sites as well as the Guadalupe neighborhood. Charming hotel in an old house. Pretty good breakfast cooked to order (never hot enough), delicious fruit platter set out. Unlimited water available which is great. Luis, manager, very knowledgeable and informative: ask him about his music!

United StatesWe didn't realize windows were open the first night so rooms were very cold, but we used the space heaters for the rest of our week. It takes a very long time for water to heat up for a shower, but the historic charm is the trade off!
The location is excellent- a quiet street with easy walkable access to the city center, artists markets and restaurants. The rooms are all designed around various artists- lovely. The breakfast is communal and allowed groups to mix and mingle- a fun start to each day. The rooftop terrace has amazing views.

United StatesThe cushions on the chairs on the small balcony were dirty when we arrived. Other than that, everything was really quite nice and pleasant. Thanks to Luis for all of his great suggestions of places to visit and restaurants in San Miguel. We really appreciate his efforts.
Excellent location, nice breakfast menu featuring fruits and yogurt as well as many hot choices as well. The staff was very accommodating and the decor was homey and inviting.

United StatesNothing. It was very nice.
The Casa is a nice boutique hotel with a few rooms in a great location so everything is walkable. The front desk staff were very helpful, friendly, & bilingual. The Casa was on a perfect street that was quiet and beautiful. And right across the little street is a very delicious cafe. I hope to return.

New ZealandThe room leaked light and sound from the internal light wells. Mostly ok, but a few late-night conversations floated down as people returned from town. wifi was patchy; you had to be in the right place to get best reception. The bedroom/bathroom layout was a bit awkward as we were travelling with our grown up son.
A lovely location on a very quaint street, easy walk to the main action of town. Spacious room with bedroom, another sleeping area, large bathroom and seating area. Advertised as two bedrooms, but one has no doors and is the only access to the bathroom. Beds were super comfortable with plenty of warm bedding for the chilly nights. Very good breakfast options of both continental and cooked options. Friendly helpful staff.

United StatesThere is no elevator. If you have mobility issues, book a room on the first or second floor. Staff did assist us with our bags upon arrival and departure, but keep in mind for your daily "in and outs".
The hotel was nicely appointed. They offered homemade breakfasts, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient and walkable to Jardin Allende and the majestic Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel Church. Without any hesitation, I would stay there again.

United StatesThis place was great. The only thing that made it slightly odd was that you had to enter the bathroom through the second bedroom. Would almost make more sense for staff to shift the living area into bedroom number two and have bedroom number two be the living area.
Loved the location - so close to everything but outside of the noisy and bustly areas - you could easily walk everywhere. Breakfast was delicious and fresh! The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Just the right amount of space for two to three friends traveling together.

United StatesThere is a fair amount of noise from barking dogs and other activities at night but this was solved with good earplugs when we were going to bed.
Beautiful converted house and a lovely room at the top. We had to climb stairs to the top but didn't mind at all since we had our own terrace and beautiful room. Also a full and very delicious breakfast was served each morning. The staff was great, especially the manager, Luiz, who helped us just about everything!
