Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaOur room, Casita 1, is on the street and there is a lot of traffic on Aurora. Fortunately, it was relatively quiet after 11 and we got a good night's sleep
Nicely furnished and well equipped Casita looking into a peaceful garden. Good kitchen facilities to permit longer stays, and a nice sitting area away from the sleeping area.

United StatesThese aren't necessarily criticisms, just information. We were traveling with our 3 adult sons. We stayed in Casita 6. It will indeed sleep 5 humans. I do not suggest it for 5 adult humans. The bunk beds are cozy but small for a 6'2" man and the twin bed is very comfy but at the foot of the king bed. Again awkward for our adult son to be sleeping at our feet. FYI, the king bed is VERY firm.
The gardens are beautiful and peaceful. The charm of the colors and architecture is pure Mexico.Casita 6 was perfect for my husband and myself. Lydia is kind, efficient, always available to help and just plain charming. The location is ideal. A very short walk to the Parroquia, Fabrica de Aurora is across the street and the Mercado de Atisenias Is 2 blocks away. There are salons, restaurants, galleries, a panadería, coffee shops, taco carts and more right on the same street.

CanadaSome street noise could be heard.
The staff at Casa Carly is remarkably attentive, and the breakfast they serve is absolutely delicious. My room was quite spacious, and the mattress comfort. However, what truly stands out is the outstanding courtyard. It offers a delightful and serene ambiance, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a good book.

United StatesThe breakfast was not quite as good as the previous times I have stayed at Casa Carly. The coffee was weak. Corncakes were more like pancakes that added cheese and jalapenos -- not like the corn cakes from before.
Great location, love all the colors and the beautiful garden. Rooms are well appointed. Staff is very accommodating and took care of needs quickly.

FranceThe glass windows while they are very charming, they don’t isolate very well, for a December trip, the room was very cold. We did have an electrical heater, but once that’s is shut off, it’s getting cold pretty rapidly again. The bathroom doesn’t have any outside airing, so it gets really humid inside. Parking was close enough, but expensive: 200 $MXN per day.
Very beautiful property, flowery, with a nice centered fountain. Comfortable bed, nicely decorated room. Pay by card.

United StatesIt was a little noisy from vehicles on the road. But, it’s San Miguel and the roads are cobblestone close to town. To get a great location, street noise is part of the package.
Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend the chilaquiles and the bacon. The property is beautiful - bright, colorful, gorgeous landscaping. Staff was exceptional. Lydia, the manager, contacted me before our stay to make sure we’d have everything we needed, and was very accommodating during our stay. The location is excellent- close to Centro and Fabricia Aurora.

CanadaWe were looking for a quieter room on the property. I would say the noise level was moderate. The kitchenette was very small and the counters old. Not good for cooking a meal but certainly okay for breakfast or a quick lunch. The floors was not that clean buth otherwise it was good. The toilet roll holder kept falling off and there was not plug in the sink so my husband could shave.
It's about a 1km walk mostly flat into the historic area. A pleasant walk. Our accommodation in the Garden Suite was spacious. Lots of sleeping space but we were only two people so that wasn't very important to us. King bed was comfortable. The common patio area is very nice.

United StatesThe check in system is awful. They don't have anyone onsite to help you past 2pm, so it you arrive after then, good luck. When I arrived at 4:30 pm, nobody was there to open the facility front door, so I was left with my family on the street while it was pouring down rain, trying to protect ourselves under a tree. They didn't provide a door code, so we knocked, rang and called (the number on the reservation) over and over and nobody answered. We were out there for almost an hour in the rain before we heard from them and were finally let in. Awful experience and the management didn't care at all, so I assume this is typical. Would not recommend! Also, you can't pay through booking.com, which is inconvenient.
