Tranquil, tucked away, but still in the middle of things. The terrace view was exceptional, and sunsets on the island are a joy. Breakfasts were brilliant. The bed was huge and comfortable, and the room was cool and shaded during the day with amazing views. We particularly appreciated the cold water dispenser, as we were often thirsty when getting back in from a day exploring!

Nothing! At first we thought we would need a kettle or coffee making facilities in the room, but ultimately this was not needed.

The location is amazing and the interior design is gorgeous but more than anything the wonderful staff (with a very special shoutout to Patricia) were what made the experience so special.

Everything was wonderful, starting from the room, the view, the amenities. All staff members were very hospitable and helpful. They also gave us good recommendations about sightseeing and nearby restaurants. The high point for me was the breakfast with the view of the sea. The location was also perfect for us to walk around or take a bike and explore the island.

Beautiful design and fantastic sea view from our room, we wish we stayed here longer. The hotel was close to the centre but still very peaceful and the manager was very accommodating of our dietary needs and helped ensure we get a breakfast without any meat or dairy. We would come back here!

We loved it! Some small observations- one of the stairs going up is a bit wobbly which can feel a bit scary, it's probably fine but worth getting fixed. The hotel also has a small stretch of beach and direct sea access but no sand / beach loungers on the actual beach ( but you are close to long stretches of sandbanks nearby or can lounge on hotel grounds and it wasn't an issue for us)

Stylish, clean, well located, good amenities

The design was great, it’s cozy and comfortable. Staff is friendly and breakfast was home made and tasty.

We gave a call one day before coming and asked about the status of the sea, because we had bad experience with sea weed in Cancun. We were assured that there’s no sea weed in Mexican gulf, and we were assured the sea was clear and beautiful. Unfortunately when we arrived to the hotel we felt a bad smell. The beach was full of smelly mud - it was impossible to get into the sea from the house.

The property is in an amazing location, on a section of the beach with little to no seaweed. It is very modern, aesthetically beautiful and each room has unique touches provided such as books and ours had a small speaker. The staff are friendly, make you feel very welcomed and the breakfast as well as welcome drink are top notch.

There are very narrow stairs to get to the rooms on the top floors so if accessibility is an issue, make sure to book a bottom room. Otherwise perfect.

Everything! Breakfast is amazing. Location is great. The rooms and the outside area is beautiful, comfortable and clean.

Rooms 5 and 6 were not really adequate for the money charged. We moved twice and room 4 was very nice

Casa Cat Ba is a dream. The beachfront location is unbeatable - peaceful, private, and stunningly beautiful. The design is chic yet relaxed, blending perfectly with the natural surroundings. The staff are incredibly warm and attentive, making you feel right at home. Every detail - from the delicious breakfast to the cozy, stylish rooms - was perfect. It’s the kind of place that stays with you long after you leave. Can’t wait to come back!

Great location, excellent service, and delicious breakfast. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring all our requests were met. The room was comfortable and well-equipped with everything needed for a perfect holiday. We loved every minute of our stay! One more thing. We saw dolphins from our terrace at breakfast! How cool is that?!

A bit pricey, and the new wall built next to the neighbor partially blocks the view—it’s a shame to have a wall so close to the water. At night, the raccoons had a party above us! One night, we woke up several times—it was quite funny, though.

Staying at Casa Cat Ba on Holbox Island was an absolute dream. The boutique feel, stunning ocean views, and peaceful atmosphere made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of my favorite aspects was my ground-level walkout room—I loved stepping right outside without dealing with stairs. Despite being close to the lobby, it was incredibly quiet, offering both convenience and tranquility. The service was exceptional, thanks to Ivette, Patty, Zuri, and the rest of the team, who were incredibly friendly and attentive. They provided excellent service throughout the hotel and restaurant and had great recommendations for things to do around the island.

The only minor drawback is that the beach in front of the property is on the narrower side, especially compared to the wider stretches further down by the of town.

The property was exactly what we hoped for and expected. The decor and ‘vibe’ was relaxed, the staff were on hand whenever needed (and made you feel right at home), the location was also ideal (in between the busy towns and big resorts in a lovely spot which was relaxing but had a nice energy if you wanted to be more lively).

Nothing. The only drawback is a lack of daytime food menu (drinks available all day but only food was guacamole and chips). Very easy to wander down the beach to the numerous beach bars and restaurants to get food though!

Situated right on the beach, you can hear the waves from your room. The charming deck with lounge chairs was a perfect place to relax, play cards and soak in the sun. Just a short walk from town and restaurants up and down the beach. We loved it. The staff was amazing.

I loved that it was a small private type of property. Only 6 rooms and the beach in front of it was absolutely beautiful. Stunning views from our room. There were always sunbeds available. Breakfast was very good, and the staff was outstanding. They always made you feel like they were happy to help and answered all my questions. I was comfortable, relaxed and felt 100% safe. They even provide you with 2 complimentary drinks upon arrival that were very tasty. All in all, a marvelous experience. I will return.

I didn't like that I couldn't stay there and live. I really did not want to go.
