Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaWe struck multiple days of exceptionally hot weather during our stay (even for Mexico) and the rooftop room was just too hot - even though it did have a fan.
We had the private bedroom with bathroom on the rooftop which we adored. This hostel is clean, safe and located in a great spot close to really nice cafes. It’s walking distance to the area of clubs and bars, but far enough to be quiet. The staff are really friendly and helpful.

United StatesThere are just too few bathrooms (only two for everybody with a shared bathroom). When we were there, the hostel was about half full and we had to wait every morning to use the bathroom. I can't imagine how bad it gets if the place is in full capacity. I'm not really sure what the math is, but I suspect when every shared bathroom bed is full there are over 30 people sharing 2 bathrooms.
It's in a great location and very nice place. There is are plenty of awesome common spaces. All around, it's a beautiful hostal in a very nice neighborhood.

GermanySome of the private rooms have no windows, which is annoying, but they are also very cheap considering the location. The dorms all have windows, so no issue here.
Great people and nice, colorful common rooms to spend time in after visiting the city, e.g. couches, tables, rooftops in the evening. There are many nice restaurants and bars close by (under 5 min walking distance). The staff is super helpful as well.

PolandOur twin room didn't have a window, so we couldn't air it otherwise then by opening the door (and as it faces the main reception area, everyone could see inside our room)
- friendly staff & nice design of the hostel - there's a lovely rooftop where you can relax

Mexicothey say you have a private bathroom, which is true but unfortunately, it is outside the apartment, so you have to go out in order to access it, this is really an issue if you have to use in the early morning. Also, the mattress is so uncomfortable, we woke up with backache since the it is not the best, they should change it!
Exceptional location close to the Av Chapultepec which has a lot of restaurants around. It is also a good place to stay if you have an appointment in the US Consulate, 8 minutes walking.

United KingdomFor 2 consecutive nights, I was kept awake until 2 am with noise from the terrace. The staff didn't care, they joined in. The terrace should be closed at night so people can sleep. I wouldn't stay here again. Also, my room was incredibly stuffy. There was a ceiling fan but no windows.
Good location in a residential area. Ave Chapultepec is 5 mins walk away with lots of bars, restaurants and banks. I walked to the Cathedral in 35 mins. I did their Tequila tour which I enjoyed.

United StatesMy estimated check-in time was around 10:30 PM. However, upon receiving a message on my WhatsApp account from the property, I learned that the front desk closed at 9 PM. Then, my reservation was lost, and no alternative arrangements, such as self-check-in, were offered. I needed to stay somewhere else. Despite paying over $200 MXN for the reservation, I was only refunded $5 MXN for the cancellation.
