Very welcoming and thoughtful staff. Quiet and secure. Very comfortable room, tasteful decor and hot water in the shower! An easy walk from the bus station and also to the central plaza.

Nicely renovated building with great staff and some very large, comfortable, well-furnished rooms including comfortable beds. Cooked to order breakfast. Really great stay a short walk to the main square. Hope we'll be able to return soon.

The hotel is a bit far from the nice part of town It was extremelly cold when we were there (they did provide electric heating that helped a bit)

This new place is a charming jumble of stairways, terraces and patios onto which most of the rooms look. It's characterful, with thought given to the decor, lots of plants, and a good view over the town from the top terrace where breakfast is served. It's walkable to the town centre and the wifi was good. The uniformed staff were all responsive and helpful.

Con’s: It would be best to have a comprehensive understanding of Spanish, as no staff spoke any English. I had a frustrating twenty minute interaction with Luis when I asked him, via translator and WhatsApp, to pin the combi location to go to Tzintzutzan on a map for me. Should have taken five minutes, but he tried to sell me a guide who is a friend, then to take a taxi to the location for the combi (which turned out to be a 5-10 minute walk). The suite was not the cleanest, with some cobwebs, and my socks got very dirty walking on the floor. When I cleaned up some spilled water with a facecloth, the cloth came back brown.

Pros: Rented the suite, so lots of room. An easy walk to Centro. Manager Luis brought portable heater when I asked. Breakfast just satisfactory, but they did make it early for me on leaving day when I had an early bus.

-The shower had no pressure, just drops. Furthermore, one morning, there was no water in the suite at all. The staff was very kind as to allow me to use a bathroom in another room; but it was not an ideal situation. - I had no problem in climbing many stairs to go to my room, but people with heavy luggage or mobility challenges must think twice. - I could not find the parking lot recommended by the hotel. I had to park on the street in front of the hotel. I had no safety issues by leaving the car overnight on the street.

-If you are driving, the location may be very good: within walking distance from the historical center but not too close to avoid street closures, especially during holidays. It was a very good location, especially during the Easter holiday when the city center was very crowded and the central streets were blocked for vehicles. -The room gave to a quite charming patio, so it was silent.

This establishment should not be on booking.com for international guests. The guest house is old and tired and in need of an upgrade. There are no hairdryers in the room, no coffee stations, not even bottled water. When we asked about water, we were given a plastic jug with water. The breakfasts were below standard. If you book a room.at the top floor you have to carry up your own luggage, no lifts We had no hot water the first day, was fixed by the second day. We checked out soon after.
