Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWhere the breakfast served in the cafe was excellent and a great taste of Mexican breakfast, it would be better if the included breakfast was on site as I feel as if I overpaid for the included breakfast. The cafe price which was only around 130 pesos (£5.17) if ordered off the menu. Could do with a few more outside seating options away from the pool or reception where you could sit a read a book for a few hours.
Stayed at Casa de les Flores for 5 nights total before and after a GAdventures trip- 2 of which booked through booking.com and the other 3 as part of the trip package. Great hotel, clean, comfortable, helpful and hospitable staff. Best hotel I have stayed at as part of a group tour- In by experience these hotels pre booked by the company tend to be far from the centre, shabby and very basic. Casa de les Flores was certainly not this. Away from the main 5th avenue but not "out in the sticks" which was the perfect location for a quiet stay in Playa.

United KingdomDidn’t have a restaurant and nowhere to get breakfast or coffee in the actual hotel. Not all the receptionist spoke good English and it was a bit tricky to organise other things through reception.
Very nice hotel in a quiet but convenient location. Lovely gardens and a nice swimming pool. Very clean and great value for money.

United StatesThe hotel is beautiful, clean, the manager and staff are absolutely sweet. The breakfast place is delicious (also for lunch/dinner). We had a misadventure outside of the hotel at Punta Esmeralda (our car was broken into and bags stolen) and the hotel manager was so supportive and helpful to do whatever he could to help us out. Really outstanding.

United StatesIt can be a bit noisy if there are many people in the pool as the rooms are kind of built around it. There were small ants in the bathroom sink area, but this is very common in the caribe and didn’t bother me at all.
I found the location to be very convenient, close to the ADO and the Quinta/beach and many restaurants and shops. It’s on a quiet street, so there is no late night noise from bars or clubs. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot and had good water pressure. There is a mini fridge in the room as well.

CanadaMore sun umbrellas by the pool. There was only one, and cant accommodate more than 2 people. Standard rooms had small windows. Photos on booking.com led us to believe there were more, as well as a balcony.
Very well located in the city. close to amenities.Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable, rooms were clean, and tidied every day. Pool was refreshing after walking in the hot sun!

United KingdomExcellent location in a quiet neighbourhood, away from the hustle and bustle on the main touristy streets. About a 10 mins walk to the seaside and ferry terminal. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Need to be aware of a bar next to the hotel that stays open late. Good sized pool. Staff very kind and helpful. Excellent breakfast options served at a nearby hotel down the same road.

AustraliaAbsolutely nothing, would definitely stay again and I miss it already.
This little boutique hotel was the exact experience I was seeking for Mexico and the service exceeded my expectations. Fantastic price. Loved that it had aircon and a fan above the bed to provide options. Warm and welcoming reception, staff were superb, some even took the time to teach us some Spanish which we were grateful for. Our room wasn't ready because we were so early, we used the facilities to change and store our luggage before we went to lunch to wait. The grounds are well kept and lovely in the middle of a busy little city. The pool was divine, not big but everyone was considerate, I enjoyed reading by it in the lounge chairs after my swim and listening to the hustle and bustle outside while watching the birds and lizards enjoy the garden. Our room was spacious, lots of room for our luggage and stuff. Was pleasantly surprised we had a fridge for our drinks. We were at the end of the garden, had a little outdoor seating area that was semi private as people didn't need to walk past to get to their rooms. It was shaded and nice to sit and read. Love the decor of the whole hotel and our room, colourful but subtle Mexican flair, felt like someone's very large home with all the little touches, art work and garden landscaping. Breakfast in the little cafe down the road, 3 minutes walk, was perfect. Fruit for starters and good choices for cooked meals. Again, lovely old style Mexican decor, lots of plants creating a serene vibe and a busy cafe. Easy walk to all the cafe's, bars and resturants, 4 minutes. Also easy walk to Walmarts, ADO bus station and the ferry., 10minutes each way. We went to Xcaret for the day, highlight of my year!! We caught a taxi there and he came back and picked us up after, door to door, quick and easy and if I remember correctly was only $50 USD return.

BahamasI wish there were water bottles by the room sink for brushing teeth and a clear indication whether the tap water was safe for that or not. The towels used for the swan decoration were the same towels to be used for drying - I would have preferred different towels for that purpose. The safe in the room was inoperable and I did not find a blow dryer for use. There was also a sitting area in front of my room that other guests used to sit and talk on the phone early in the morning - they were very loud and disruptive. However, I do not know how the hotel could have prevented this other than maybe having a sitting area by every room or only in a general area. Nonetheless, I cannot really blame the hotel for this individual's inconsiderate actions. These were minor cons and did not truly affect my stay.
The hotel was in a great location. It was a 10 minute walk to downtown and surrounded by various restaurants, near pharmacies, convenience stores, and banks. It is located next to a restaurant(?) that plays loud music at night, but I didn't hear it much in my bed. It was also a 10-15 minute walk to Xcaret pick-up/drop-off sites. The room was big, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful as I was able to warm up my food in their common area's microwave and they assisted me with booking a taxi. They also have a drinking water cooler where you can fill up your reusable water bottles for drinking and brushing your teeth. The hotel grounds, pool, and room were clean and it was nice setup. It gave a nice homey feel. I recommend staying here.

MexicoEverything was good.
We stayed in room 18 just for one night (we stopped in Playa del Carmen to be closer to Cancun airport) and it was very comfortable. The room was spacious, had a little fridge, AC and a fan. The beds were comfy, the water was hot, the wifi was good. There was a lovely pool to use. The hotel is located close to the ADO terminal and a short walk to Quinta Ave. We didn't experience any noise at nights from the nearby bars.

CanadaNothing. This place was everything we had hoped for and more. Don't hesitate to book this - there were families, couples, and solo travellers. This place is for everyone.
I travel a lot and I dislike staying in resorts/busy areas. Hotel Casa de las Flores exceeded all of my expectations and was an amazing home base for our trip to Playa del Carmen. The staff were incredible, the space felt wild and cozy all at the same time (jungle vibes), and the hotel concierge was my favourite part (Blackie, the cat). The space was the perfect distance from everything - it took us no longer than 10-15 minutes to walk anywhere we needed to. If you are wanting absolute dead quiet, this place may not be perfect for you due to the bar next door. However, we spent our evenings playing cards out in the common area and it made the most amazing background noise. We felt the place would have been eerily silent otherwise! Once back in our rooms you really couldn't hear much music. There are so many nice restaurants and street vendors nearby. However, please note this is NOT a party hotel, and do not expect it to be one or you will not have the time you want. We felt incredibly safe, they have 24/7 security and the gate locks at night. We got back this morning at 02:00am, and we are already looking at coming back in 6 months. Until next time, Hotel Casa de las Flores!
