Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. United StatesHaving to leave.
This was a great stay. Everything from the location, the amenities at the BnB, the breakfast was very good and made fresh each day to our preferences, and the hosts were fun, friendly and welcoming - we felt like part of the family, even being greeted after a long day by the 2 incredibly friendly house dogs who were always happy to see us. The hosts were very accommodating when we had to change our reservations and they also arranged for a cab ride back to the bus station on the way out of town. Their prices were more than fair and a good value.

CanadaIt really was very nice. We found the pillows a little uncomfortable but otherwise everything else was excellent.
We had a very enjoyable 3 day stay at Casa de Tillie. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The common area was well equipped with coffee maker, water, small fridge, microwave, comfortable seating and views of the city to die for. Breakfast each morning was a highlight. Delicious meals including fresh fruit, homemade granola, yogurt and a different main dish each day. The property is lovely and the lower patio with a small pool and hot tub are very nice. Rene and Flo were the perfect hosts and they and their family are lovely people. They know the city so well so were able to direct us to many restaurants and things to see and do. We had a terrific visit to Guanajuanto and to Casa de Tille. As an FYI - the house is located near the top of the hill so the walk to Centro is about a kilometer with a steep uphill climb. We love to walk so for us it was not a problem.

Other reviewers that mention that the food you receive at their home is better than anything else you will get in Guanajuato are 100% spot on. Muchas gracias!

ChinaCasa de Tillie is a wonderful B&B that truly feels like a home away from home. The hospitality from the family is exceptional, making our stay even more special. Every morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, and the stunning view from the rooftop was simply breathtaking. Staying here was one of the best decisions we made for our time in Guanajuato. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm, welcoming stay in this beautiful city!

Casa de Tillie was great. The owners, Flo and René, were exceptionally helpful in terms of logistics and recommendations, and moreover are super nice people. The B&B itself is large, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast - different every day and delicious each time - was excellent, and (importantly for me) the coffee was good, strong, and plentiful. Laundry facilities worked great and there's a nice pool/jacuzzi area that Flo and René were kind enough to open up for us at my son's request despite the weather being too chilly for a sane adult to want to use it. They provided plenty of recommendations and advice, both for sites and places to eat, and help in finding a driver to take us on the next leg of our trip, to Guadalajara. Maybe the bit that is most illustrative of how helpful I found them is that on the morning of our checkout the driver they had recommended texted me saying he wasn't feeling well and was looking for a replacement. Originally I'd have been pretty stressed/worried, but by then I'd communicated with him a lot and moreover implicitly trusted anyone who Flo and René had recommended to me. And indeed another driver was found and the drive was completed without a hitch. One thing to note is that the B&B is about a ten minute walk outside of the center, up a pretty steep hill with a decent amount of traffic. I'd consider walking up myself but with a child we took (ubiquitous and cheap) Ubers each time.

CanadaFlo and Rene were super hosts. They went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. We arrived earlier than check in time and left later than check out time and they accommodated us, no problem. The breakfast was excellent and through chatting with them we learned a lot about Guanajuato and their families. The locale is ideal… but if you walk home it will test your legs on the uphill. 😆 We used the pool and relaxed on their deck. It was all excellent.

It was an absolute pleasure staying at Casa de Tillie! As a solo traveler, I felt immediately at home with the kindness and warmth of René, Flo, Tillie, and Lety. The property is located a 10 minute walk uphill outside of the city center, so I was able to wake up every morning to a stunning view of colorful Guanajuato and see a stunning sunset every evening from the comfort of my spacious bedroom. The bathroom is huge with plenty of counter space, and the shower is spacious with excellent shower pressure and hot water. The breakfasts every morning made with love by Lety were hands down the best food I had in Guanajuato.

United StatesBest stay! The room, space and comfort was the best, including the restroom with good hot water. There was a convenient microwave, fridge and coffee area and living room in our floor incase we needed it right outside our room, with the main kitchen downstairs. The views from are room were great and from all over the house as well. The location was convenient and less than 10 mins walking down, and even late on one night i walked and the area felt very safe. Rene and Flo were the best hosts who made it feel like we were visiting relatives, and gave us a great welcome since the moment we arrived, very respectful and fun conversation making our stay even better. They were always attentive if we needed anything or any tips or recommendations for the city. They also lets us know that we were welcome to eat from the kitchen in any case. The breakfast by Letty was delicious and made a different one every morning or even gave extra options of needed. The style of breakfast was with a host and other guests which was great for meeting new people and having a nice new conversation during breakfast. The pool was also available with a heating system, but weather didn't cooperate. Will definitely be staying at Casa de Tillie again.

United KingdomThe beautiful view, clean room, comfortable bed and pillows, DELICIOUS homemade breakfast spread and the loveliest hosts ever in Flo and Rene. Casa de Tillie felt as cushy, private and comfortable as a hotel, but it also had the warmth of staying with friends or family. Flo and Rene were around to chat and give personal recommendations for places to eat or visit in Guanajuato, but we also had lots of time to enjoy the pool and take in the breathtaking views just on our own and play with their adorable dogs. The hotel is also just a short 10/15 min stroll into the centre of town so you can have the beautiful view and the convenience of being near town. Rene and Flo went above and beyond as hosts, even taking us to the bus station when our cab cancelled on us and we couldn’t get another in time! Thanks so much, and we look forward to our next visit :)
