They are very attentive, the place is immaculate and the food is fresh and wonderful. Peace lives here. Not the place to go if you want loud music or fast paced action. Relaxing and feeling the luxury and calm is their mantra.

Nothing really, maybe a service button on sun loungers? On their private beach some of the loungers are located far from the bar. So can be slow sometimes to get a waiters attention. Not the biggest problem as drinks were worth the wait!!

Tucked away on the serene shores of Holbox Island, Casa Las Tortugas is the perfect escape for those seeking relaxation and charm. The beachfront location offers stunning ocean views and easy access to the town’s laid-back vibe. We raved about the food – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, making every meal a highlight. The friendly and attentive staff make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. With its bohemian decor and peaceful ambiance, the hotel exudes a chilled atmosphere that invites you to unwind and truly disconnect.

Nothing too much to say here. The only thing I think the hotel could consider is tea/coffee making facilities in the room and perhaps a small fridge. But I will use the rest of this space to add a few recommendations around Holbox: Restaurants: Big Fish, Basico, PiedraSanta, Paradoor33, Tacomoquieras, Painapol, Quartieri and a great choice of street food! Overall a good selection of upmarket dining and cheap, good quality street food options. Trips: Mangrove Sunrise Kayak Tour (crocodile spotting!), Playa Mosquito - walk along the sandbank, Punto Cocos - sunset. Bars: Hot Corner. What a place. Music and Salsa dancing in the street every night. Great fun people watching. La Anemona - great Margarita's just around the corner from Hot Corner. Beach Bars - Capitan Capitan, Raices, Bikini Bottom. All good and reasonably priced! Ice Cream: La Gelateria de Holbox - a regular nightly stop! Hire a Golf Buggy - great fun.

Wow! Where to start. Casa Las Turtugas is an absolute paradise! We loved every moment of our stay in Isla Holbox. Whilst it requires a considerable effort to reach Holbox (Car, Plane, Car, Ferry, Golf Buggy!), it is certainly worth it! From the moment we arrived the hotel staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Our room, Orquidea, was on the top floor with a fantastic sea/sunset view! And the plunge pool was the cherry on the icing on the cake! The hotel is so well designed, and I would say perfectly situated in Holbox - a five minute walk from the main part of town, and many bars, restaurants and shops. We tried two of the hotel's restaurants - Mandarina and Luuma - both were very good and reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The grounds and gardens are stunning. And the beach is just perfect - fine white sand and a shallow warm sea - and hardly any seaweed! Many good bars and restaurants literally a two minute walk along the beach either way. The beach area of the hotel is stunning - think plenty of palm trees, sun loungers, a fire-pit, tables and chairs and all-day bar service! Breakfast was included and very good - bread/pastries/fruit bowls + main, served directly on the beach in a beautiful seating area, or in the bar just back from the beach. When compared to Tulum, Holbox is much small and more charming. But there is enough going on to keep you busy for at least ten days! And the beach is much more accessible and affordable than Tulum. And the place generally feels quieter and safer. Getting around is easy, and we mostly walked the sandy streets of restaurants, bars and shops. You can also hire a golf buggy, or grab a special Holbox taxi if you want to travel further afield to either end of the island - Punto Cocos or Playa Mosquito - both worth a visit. All in all I think probably our best ever holiday. The hotel, setting, people and whole Holbox experience is something really special. We will see you again soon!

An incredible hotel in a wonderful place. Location superb, staff and service impeccable, restaurants all brilliant. Being able to walk out the room on to the sand in to the breakfast restaurant and the beach was wonderful. A truly fantastic hotel, will be back.

Closing tabs at the bar was a bit of a hassle.

Grounds were immaculate, staff was incredibly friendly and they didn’t gouge you on pricing at the bars.

That we had to leave! The shower took a few minutes to heat up so just give it time, the water was a pleasant temperature so worth the wait.

Perfect location - right on the beach and super close to town, yet just far enough away that you couldn’t hear the loud music from other bars. Staff were friendly and attentive, with excellent service throughout our stay. The sun loungers were really comfortable with a good mix of ones in shade and ones in the sun. Our room was gorgeous with a very effective fan and AC so we always slept well.

Everything was fantastic and went beyond our expectations. From the design of the hotel, to the comfort of the room and shared facilities, this place is designed to let you unwind and disconnect from the world. Staff was super friendly, breakfast was generous and super tasty, locations is perfect - being located just next to the town center but away from the noise. And the food… my god! their restaurant Luuma is on another level, we had some of the best food of our lives there. This place is paradise, I wish I could go back!

Amazing staff. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared. Attention second to none. A big shout to the girls at the reception, Flor and Narce. The location is the best in Holbox and the food is divine.

Nothing. It was honestly perfect and I would say after touring around the island and staying a few other spots, this is probably one of the best places to stay (caveat: if you’re adults only - if you have small kids under 12, I’d look next door at Mawimbi or at other spots right in the area).

It’s gorgeous. The vibes are 10/10. There’s a beautiful area where you can do yoga in the morning, the beach access is better than any other spot on the island (no seaweed or shells compared to other areas), and the structure itself is gorgeous. You feel like you’re in a romantic spot with trees overhead but you still get to enjoy the creature comforts of hot water, AC, and indoor private bathroom.

This hotel is EXCELLENT. It is right on the edge of town so is such a great location, it has a beautiful beach area, the staff are so friendly and very attentive, the rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. I don’t have one complaint - we loved it so much we went back there. If you’re going to Holbox you have to stay in this hotel.

Great location and beautiful hotel in the heart of the main area of holbox. Walkable to many restaurants and the hotel itself is on a beautiful beach with loungers etc. Big rooms, great breakfast and lovely staff!

The bright blue pool is a bit jarring compared to the subtle design of the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was super generous and usually delicious but sometimes the cooked items were not well executed - too much vinegar.

Loved the location, the architecture, the sushi restaurant. Wonderful service from all staff.
