Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesWish I could have stayed longer...
Comfortable room. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere in a beautiful historic building. Everything was within easy walking distance (3-15 minutes walk, depending on the destination). Breakfast was delicious and in a cozy dining area with natural light. And good wifi. The hospitality of the owner made the stay truly wonderful--felt welcome, cared for, and at home. Highly recommend this place for its value, comfort, location, and staff.

United StatesFor our liking everything was great.
Raul is the host, and he takes great care of his property and his guests. We stayed here as a base in morelia. While we visited everywhere else in the state. We felt very safe and would take walks at night to discover the town which has so much to offer. The catedral is only 5 blocks away, which is nice. There are places to eat everywhere and you can walk off your meal when you get back home.

United StatesThis family run business is in a 400 year old house with old Mexico charm for sure. Owner Raul was the perfect host to make me feel right at home especially with the wonderful breakfasts he prepared and served. This small family run business has a great feel to it. It is quiet and spotless. Raul takes great pride in his home and it shows. A very short walk to the Cathedral. Thank you Raul…

This hotel is more than just a hotel, it’s a beautiful family home with very comfortable cosy rooms and lovely patios to sit and enjoy a drink and snacks. Raul was so kind and helpful and his breakfasts were delicious, he had no problems preparing me wonderful vegetarian dishes. It’s location is perfect too for wandering the beautiful streets of Morelia. Thanks again for my wonderful 10 days at Casa Limonchelo !

United StatesWe cannot think of one thing we didn't like.
Casa Limonchelo is a beautiful house, truly stunning. The amazing architecture and gardens left us speechless. The owner, Don Raul was very welcoming with excellent customer service. From day one Don Raul made us feel at home. He explained the rich history of the house and of beautiful Morelia. Every morning Don Raul greeted us with a delicious breakfast that exceeded our expectations. My mom asked one day about corundas, a local specialty in cuisine. The very next morning Don Raul surprised us with the most delicious corundas I've ever had. He truly went above and beyond. You can definitely tell her loves and is passionate about his work. During our stay we got to meet his boys and they were great, as warm-hearted as Don Raul. Our room was very clean and was equipped with everything we needed. The temperature was good too. We sat on one of the patios in the afternoons and enjoyed the great October weather. Don Raul had great recommendations for places to visit and where to find the best authentic food in the surrounding area. Our entire experience was amazing. We highly recommend Casa Limonchelo! We will definitely be back.

United StatesI loved my stay. I went into this trip knowing that the place isn’t modern and was 100% ok with that. Some people may prefer a less personal more modern establishment.
Raul is an excellent host. He treated us very well and the breakfast was great. The location is excellent and even though parking is about a block away, I felt more comfortable since it is gated and locked up overnight. I traveled with my wife and two kids and felt safe the entire trip.

United StatesI loved everything about Casa Limonchelo! Raul, the owner, is fantastic - friendly, knowledgable, helpful. This boutique hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful courtyards. High ceilings, tastefully furnished. Very clean. Comfortable beds! In fact, I slept better there than I sleep at home! The location is excellent, near the center with so many beautiful buildings and plazas to visit. Morelia is a beautiful and interesting colonial city. It's perfectly safe, regardless of what you may read in the media. A side visit to Patzcuaro (one hour bus ride away) is recommended, another beautiful, much smaller city.

United StatesThe location was exceptional, courtyard and patios were beautiful and Raul went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. The hotel is older and doesn't have the modern amenities but the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Raul and his wife whipped up some great breakfasts and when we left really early on our check out day, Raul was waiting for us with a taxi and steaming hot coffee cups to go!

CanadaLovely B&B in the centre of the city yet very peaceful and quiet. Very friendly host and a nice continental breakfast. This colonial style accommodation had a really pretty inner courtyard complete with a wonderful orange tree and the living room area was decorated with pretty antique furniture as well! United Arab EmiratesThe 9 score they brag about at the front desk should actually be 0.4, .4 being the location. The man there is one of the rudest people I have encountered. He refused to respect the booking and we had to find a place to stay. It was 8 pm on a Sunday. We still don’t understand the reason behind the cancellation.
Nothing, since we were denied the opportunity of staying there despite having booked and showing up on time at the front desk. By the way, it is not true there is free parking. The man at the front desk cancelled the booking while we were looking for a parking lot. The best attribute of this hotel is that there are lots of other hotels around where can stay instead.
