Definitely the best accommodation we had on our 3 weeks trip in Mexico. Marvelous location with hosts and staff that could not be more hospitable.

    Nothing.

We have stayed in many welcoming, wonderful places - Casa Tres Colibries is the best of the best. The hotel is beautiful - the pool area and garden particularly so. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. I miss the fruit already! Our room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. Giovanna was so kind, attentive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Daniel kept our room beautifully clean. We would love to visit again one day! Thanks so much.

Little bit less central than we expected, but the centre is still walkable and there is a good market nearby where we had some delicious food.

Our stay at Casa Tres Colibres was one of the highlights of our trips to Mexico. Giovanna and Daniel were extremely warm hosts and made our stay really special. The house is beautiful and the area around the pool is a perfect place to relax after a day exploring!

Very stylish and comfortable accommodation (more like a home than a hotel) in a safe neighborhood not far from city center with friendly and hospitable owner and manager on site. Amazing, super clean and very well looked after colonial style building. Wonderful breakfast served when you are ready (within the breakfast hours). The place and people make you feel like you are a very welcome. Beautiful inner yard under mango trees and swimming pool area surrounded by tropical plants. Super comfy accommodation and very helpful people!

Casa Tres Colibres set a high standard for the rest of our trip. We were made to feel like welcomed family from the minute we walked in through the doors. Location is a 10-15 minute walk from major attractions and sites in Merida. House is beautifully decorated in colonial Mexican motif. There is lots of space on the property to move about. The pool is a fantastic addition and the breakfast is plentiful with lots of delicious fruits, breads, pastries, ham and cheeses. Most importantly, Giovanna and Daniel are amazing hosts and caretakers of the property and their guests.

We had a truly wonderful time! Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. From the moment we arrived, Giovanna and Daniel welcomed us like family—they are both such warm and kind-hearted people. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, filled with thoughtful details and a special charm that makes it feel like an oasis in the heart of the city. I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Mérida. Thank you so much for everything—we can’t wait to come back!

Our stay was lovely overall, though we found the queen-sized bed a bit smaller than we're accustomed to. This was our only minor inconvenience.

We had a wonderful stay! The warm hospitality was truly exceptional, and we especially loved the tranquil pool area. The location offered a charming, peaceful escape, making it a perfect retreat.

The owner Giovanna welcomed us warmly, sharing information about local restaurants and sights. Breakfast was great- a variety of fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, pan dulces, ham, and cheese as well as coffee and juice. The casa includes a lovely courtyard with a fountain, a relaxing pool area, and a quiet rooftop.

I just wrapped up a four-day stay here, and honestly, it felt like I was right at home. This spot is a true hidden gem. From the moment I arrived (and mind you, I got in at midnight), Giovanna was incredible. She’s the owner and just the nicest person—so welcoming and always making sure I was okay, giving great tips about the city too. The casa itself? Gorgeous. It’s got this beautiful courtyard and unique decor that creates such a special vibe. My room was spacious, super clean, and I even had my own terrace (which was a fantastic bonus!). The place looks even better in person than in the photos. Location-wise, it’s perfect. It’s pretty central, but still peaceful, and you can easily walk to some great restaurants and bars. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re heading to Mérida. Many thanks again Giovanna for everything!

I have nothing negative to say about this B&B.

It’s a gorgeous B&B, meticulously kept. Giovanna and Daniel are wonderful! The location is terrific - in an historic neighborhood, Santiago. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the central square - buses go everywhere and run continuously.

Everything was wonderful. Joanna and Daniel made us feel welcome from the get go. Both went out of their way to make sure we were well taken of. The bnb is beautiful. We had the king suite which was large and had its own private patio. Some of the rooms are very small but I think that is irrelevant as you have access to the whole living area, rooftop terrace and pool. Breakfast is called continental but is not just a piece of toast and coffee. It includes pastries, cheese, cold meat, fresh fruit, granola, yoghurt, juice and coffee and tea. All in all very tasty.

    All good.

Giovanna, the owner, was so welcoming and helpful. By the end of the stay she felt like family. The Bed and Breakfast was beautiful and much larger than it appears from the outside. We stayed in the Junior suite and were very comfortable. Working air-conditioning and a ceiling fan gave us a respite from the heat outside. The pool was a plus. We were busy while we were in Merida, but could easily have just relaxed in the accommodations and been happy. Lovely basic continental breakfast. Abundant and wholesome. Local fresh fruit, yogurt, granola, cheese and cold cuts and toasted bread available, and of course, pan dulce, coffee and juice.

We loved everything about the place - the coziest garden ever, comfortable bed, nice breakfast and the mansion itself is very authentic! The distance from the center it feel far after a lot of walking.. maybe 25 min walking very slow

We had a big room (junior suite) with private patio. Great breakfast. The host was very, very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area. She went out of her way to make us welcome and taking care of. Daniel that took care of everything around was incredible. He fix our broken luggage, took care of the laundry we left out to dry when the rain came unexpected. We were able to do both an early check in and late check out. We highly recommend this property room 5 (3 other rooms are much smaller and 2 is a room with living rooms).

    We were happy with everything.

The house was really lovely. We were warmly welcomed by Giovanna and Daniel. It was helpful to us that Giovanna was fluent in English, as we do not speak Spanish. She offered us advice and checked in with us daily. Our room, the queen suite, was so spacious and clean. The pool and garden area were beautiful. There were so many places to relax from the courtyard, pool area and rooftop sitting area. It was easy to find a private seating area if it was desired. The house was quiet with only 5 rooms and it often felt like we had it to ourselves. The location was very convenient. It was about a 12 minute walk to the Plaza Grande, and about the same to Paseo de Montejo and Calle 47 restaurants. The breakfast was a buffet of fruit, cereal, bread, meat, cheese, juice and coffee. It was perfect to get us started in the morning. Giovanna lives at the property in a private suite and was always available for questions. She responded quickly when we had a small issue with a leaking toilet which was appreciated. She was also flexible with check-in and check-out times. Overall Casa Tres Colibries exceeded our expectations and we were very happy with our week long stay.

The hospitality of the hosts, they made us feel so very welcome. They really go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay to the max. I work in hospitality/tourism myself, and I can honestly say that this is next level. So kind, friendly and helpful! And the casa itself is very beautiful. Once you walk through the front door, you find yourself in a hidden paradise. There’s several places to hang out, a swimming pool and a rooftop.

There was not any part of the property to dislike

Casa Tres Colibries is beautiful. It is like an oasis in the middle of an active and thriving part of the town of Merida. The home property has all the comfort and charm of old Mexico 🇲🇽 with lovely decorations to enjoy and admire ~ from the pottery and art and landscaping to the cooling swimming pool and the flowers and trees, especially the Alamo Tree that gets It’s life from the cenote underground. Precious and timeless atmosphere all around.
