The house is gorgeous in a very peaceful neighborhood close to everything. Juan was amazing and always easy to reach and communicate with. I would definitely go back to Casa Tunkul 🤍

- a water dispenser for filling bottles would be great, also to avoid plastic bottles :) - the pool was quite dirty during my stay (probably also because of the wind / rain)

Perfect! Where do I begin. Stunning, modern design with so many thoughtful details—large, comfortable bed, high ceilings, tall wooden doors, kitchenette, breakfast table, ice machine, Nespresso Expresso machine with plenty of pods & teas, private bathroom, lovely toiletries, plenty of comfy towels, large smart tv. Exactly as pictured. The kitchenette was equipped with everything I needed to store & prepare meals for my fresh food lifestyle. Quaint, refreshing pool & outside loft area perfect for unwinding after excursions. Juan greeted my arrival with such kindness & walked me through instructions ensuring I completely understood everything. Easily walkable to nearby grocery stores & great exercise if you want to walk to Centro Historico, Paseo de Montejo or Plaza Grande. Aside from the living quarters being extremely comfortable, I felt very safe as a single traveler. This was a perfect base for my week long trip in the Merida area.

The property was amazing - finished to a very high standard, and the facilities were perfect. It had absolutely everything, and the location was great, within walking distance to all of the main sights/locations. Juan was very helpful, and gave us lots of recommendations! I would highly recommend this property, it has been my favourite in Mexico so far!

Best accommodation we had in Mexico! It was so good and comfortable, we were excited to head back ‘home’ every night. It’s a spacious room/appartment with a beautiful interior, it was super clean, it had all you could think of - an ice cube machine, Nespresso machine, steamer for your clothes, cappuchino maker, kitchen utensils andddd Netflix!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Casa Tunkul in Mérida, Mexico, and I can’t say enough about how incredible the experience was! From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beauty and charm of the property. The space is thoughtfully designed, blending modern comfort with the rich character of Mérida. My bedroom was absolutely perfect—spacious, beautifully decorated, and immaculately clean. The air conditioning was a lifesaver, keeping the space cool and comfortable after exploring the city. The location could not have been better—just minutes away from everything, making it easy to enjoy Mérida’s vibrant culture, restaurants, and historic sites. There was nothing I didn’t like about the apartment

The studio apartment was excellent. Everything you needed was right there. Excellent location and an incredibly helpful and kind host. Highly recommend staying here .

On a side note, the pillows were quite high, and it would be great to have some lower options for better neck support. Other than that, we have no complaints at all—it was a wonderful stay!

The property is exactly as shown in the pictures—clean, tidy, and well-maintained. Its location is quite central, making it easy to explore the area. The host was exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, providing valuable tips on the best places to eat and visit nearby. His personal touch and warm hospitality made us feel truly welcome and grateful. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying here and would love to return in the future!

The only “negative” point about this accommodation was the early morning brightness (I personally woke up at 6 a.m.). It would have been nice to have a curtain installed to block the light. If you’re sensitive to brightness like me, I recommend bringing an eye mask. However, this is a very minor issue compared to all the great aspects of the accommodation!

We greatly enjoyed Casa Tunkul, which is one of the best accommodations we’ve stayed in for a long time. It is very charming, beautiful, and comfortable, and we had a wonderful stay there. Everything was perfect, exactly as shown in the photos, very clean, and the amenities were excellent. Juan is a wonderful person who takes the time to explain everything in the best way upon our arrival and goes out of his way to give us great recommendations—thank you to him. We loved everything about this place.

Beautiful house! Wonderful host, very attentive and easy to reach. Great location, quiet and clean area. The room itself was very warm and welcoming. Comfy bed and the big tv came in handy when we wanted to have a movie night in. The rooftop was nice to have a drink on and we waded in the pool when it was very hot. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Casa Tunkul and highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Casa Tunkul is a newly renovated building with an amazing feel. Juan does a tremendous job making you feel welcome. All the fine details of this brand new house made our stay extremely enjoyable. Our room was very spacious with a big TV and AC. The bathroom had a nice walk-in shower. The property has a wonderful small pool and a spacious rooftop area. We can’t recommend this place enough.

It is not in the center, not so easy to get there with all small one-way roads. If you want to do trips from Merida by car, it's not so convenient. There is no permanent stuff- You communicate through whatsapp. The swimming pool from the photo is a big bathtub. A walk to get to breakfast, dinner, we didn't find anything around the corner.

The exposed rock walls looked cool but it was disintegrating and dropping LOTS of dust and big chunks of rock and plaster onto the bed and night tables. The amount of plaster dust was really irritating to my respiratory system (although I am particularly sensitive). If this issue was fixed I would give this property a 10 star rating!!

Amazing location, very comfortable bed, the kitchenette was really nice, and the huge bathtub was fantastic after long days of walking & exploring. Very quiet house and felt very private. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, providing some great recommendations.

The outdoor furniture was very dusty and needed a wipe down before I could use it. The pool could use some attention... perhaps the filter is not working? If I had mentioned that issue I know Juan would have sent someone to correct that, but I didn't want to complain.

Within 15 to 20 minutes walking distance to several parks. Some very good restaurants nearby (We highly recommend Chaya Maya!) The bed was comfortable and clean. Plenty of fluffy white towels. Nice small kitchen. The air conditioner+ dehumidifier were very helpful. There were a few small issues but our host Juan was very responsive and corrected everything immediately. He was delightful and made our stay very comfortable.
