Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelgiumMost beautiful garden I've seen during our Yucatan round trip - lots of flowers and shade. Wonderful owners showed great hospitality, with tips for restaurants & city visits. They also gave us two regional breakfast specialties. Location also good, close to Valladolid sights and restaurants.

Excellent place to visit Valladolid and its surroundings. Stayed here with my group of 7 for 2 nights. Everything was enjoyable: the 3 rooms, the small swimming pool, the nice breakfast and the simpathy of Ms. Xu'unan :) I definitively recommend this place!

BelgiumWe loved everything about our stay. The location is great, just a few minutes walking distance from cozy restaurants and the city center. Private parking is nice too. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was great as well! We also really liked the swimming pool and common area to relax in the hammocks. Would stay again!

United StatesMost properties include 2 bottles of drinking water daily, we only had water at check-in!
The property was comfortable and safe. Loved the friendliness & helpfulness of the staff, the refrigerator in the room, the beautiful gardens and the fresh breakfasts. We were lucky to get an early check-in & private parking! 😀

United StatesWater pressure was a little weak. They offered large water bottles for sale at a good price, but having free filtered water instead to refill our bottles would have been nicer
Quiet location but still walkable to everything. Off street free parking behind gate that is locked at night. Good breakfast. Friendly helpful host family running the property. Spacious room with good air conditioning.

NetherlandsClean and quiet room, amazing breakfast, very convenient location with everything within a walking distance. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Parking is available on site. I've seen some reviews that it can be noisy due to the cars passing by, but the room we stayed in was in the furthest corner of the property, so we didn't experience any of that, especially considering that we kept the windows closed because we were using the AC.

United StatesWe had a very hard time using the key to get in the front door but the driveway door worked great!
Breakfast was delicious every day! The hosts were so kind and helpful. The location was perfect and we felt very safe walking around. We forgot an item after we left and the hosts were very helpful in letting us look in the room to get it back. We would definitely stay again and I would recommend to anyone traveling!

Spacious room, lovely courtyard, friendly staff. Options to drive wet clothes on roof top. Fantastic local recommendations

United StatesThis little gem of a property is literally right across the street from the convent, so the location is perfect. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms, while sparse, have everything one needs for a great stay. And the bed was no kidding, the single most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. The breakfast area is lovely and the hammock hut offers a nice place to take a little siesta. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and makes one feel at ease. I would happily recommend Casa Xu’Unan to others.

United StatesThey could improve on their breakfast. There was no choice in what you get and no options for dietary restrictions. It also wasn’t enough food to fill us up so we had to go out to breakfast every morning.
We liked the safe parking, clean room, centrally located, great air conditioning and the warm hospitality.

CanadaThe room we had is the only room that is very close to the street, which is prone to be noisy from cars and motorbikes passing by. However, we were made aware as soon as we made the booking and were given the opportunity to change rooms. My friend and I decided to keep the room despite the noise (we weren't sure how intense it would be) because there was no other room with two separate beds available for us, and we don't sleep well when in the same bed. We had earplugs and my friend also wore her headphones with white noise, and it partly helped. The street noise is mostly prominent before midnight and from 7 am. Between that, there is little to no noise from the street. If you are a light sleeper and like to go to bed early, I would suggest getting another room in the same property if possible, because otherwise, this place is really awesome!
Casa Xu'unan is a big and beautiful property a short walk away from the center. It is near a famous street of the town called Calle de los Frailes, which is gorgeous. The area is really lovely, with the nearby convent and its large surrounding park that has various street food carts in the evening. Our room (room 1) with two beds had everything my friend and I needed. The shower was great, with plenty of warm water. The whole property was very clean. The outdoor space was fantastic, with so many lush plants and flowers, and shaded areas where we could relax. The pool was clean and lovely to spend time in. Susie, the owner, was a delight, always willing to help to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The staff was great too. Homemade breakfast was between 8 am and 9:30 am and it was really good and varied. They were able to cater beautifully for my vegetarian friend. Good price for the quality of the place!
