Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThere is a lot of walking so it's probably not best if you aren't in fairly good shape.
The breakfast was awesome! You had to walk about 15 minutes to get to the restaurant but it was literally the nicest restaurant in town and the staff was amazing! Also Alan was amazingly helpful.

CanadaJust a couple more hangers would have been helpful for two people. Perhaps not the best location for individuals with mobility challenges (but one could argue this applies to all of Guanajuato).
Fresh and clean. New hotel. Fantastic breakfast in the Centro at an iconic restaurant next to the Teatro Juarez and the Jardin. Very comfortable bed. It felt very safe and secure. It was an easy ten minute walk right down to the Jardin de la Union. Alan, the manager, was very personable and helpful. He also added to the feeling of safety, as we saw him doing checks of the property in the evening.

It is a modern and pleasant hotel to stay in. The staff were very service focused and friendly. The room was a good size with a fantastic view, from the balcony, of the hills surrounding Guanajuato. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Centro so you don't hear a lot of noise from bars.

United StatesExcellent staff & service. The driving entrance to the hotel has a high steep and is narrow. The hotel however has plenty of parking space to turn around. We spent a couple of days there yet drove in and out of the parking lot (hotel) only once. We walked to the center a few times. Here note to just use the walking route that goes through shopping streets. One night and due to rain, we took a different route - not the safest to the eye route. We made it fine yet the remaining walks were through the shopping/center route and they were much much better. Enjoy Guanajuato!! It was one of our better cities to visit in this trip.

United KingdomThe location, staff, and facilities were excellent. Alan, who managed the hotel, was incredibly helpful and friendly, and all staff did excellent service, and we felt right at home here. On the map the hotel looks out of the centre but actually is a really good location, only a nice safe 10 minute walk to old town. Lots of small shops and nice eating places a few minutes walk away. Importantly it's quiet and has great views which is relaxing as Guanajuato was very busy for holidays. We really recommend this place to stay... best accomodation we had in Mexico. I highly recommend Guanajuato and Quinta Mercedes.... it's better than San Miguel de Allende!

NetherlandsNothing - if you’re driving a large SUV you might struggle a little getting through the narrow street leading up to the hotel
Well-run, clean and new, modern facilities. Comfy beds. Friendly and helpful staff; Allan, you’re the best! Breakfast at the external restaurant in city center (15 minutes walk) was great!
