Perhaps the location? We were walking and the city sites were quite far away. I could not fault the hotel itself

The CIGNO was wonderful, a little oasis in a busy city! The hotel staff were really welcoming - offering a nice cool towel on arrival on a very hot day. The room was really generous in size, we stayed in the Tortuga 1 room - beautiful tiled floors, generous sized bed and lovely bathroom. The hotel breakfast was incredible - definitely order the beef tacos (and the french toast is a must)! We had a wonderful time on the rooftop pool, the staff were very attentive and the hotel was peaceful and secluded. Lovely little place!

Nothing - the only thing that could have made our trip better was if it was longer.

Our stay couldn't have been better. The room was stunning, the pools are great, we only had one breakfast but it was lovely, and the staff were all fantastic, particularly Michela (sorry if I have misspelt your name!) at reception. We were visiting on our Honeymoon and they even gave us a very delicious dessert to welcome us. Location is also really central.

1.Property needs some touch-up work. 2. My room was right under the kitchen so I could hear the loud blender and loud people talking in the patio right outside my bedroom in the morning and woke me up.

So for being an adult and what they say its a 5star hotel. It doesn’t look like for different reasons: they weren’t on the details which I thinks thats what makes a hotel excellent. For example: they didn’t received us upon arrival, didi t park the car, the towels as the sheets were worn out so for myself if you are staying in a nice hotel. Those details do matter

Location is a bit out of town but this didn’t really bother us - an easy and safe 15 mins walk.

Superb. Absolutely beautiful property. The room is tucked away so it feels private and secluded, all the fittings are very high quality. The service was extremely attentive and food was all great.

While a short walk to the centre, not the prettiest part of Merida. But this fosn tdetract from an enjoyable stay.

Lovely architecture, large comfortable rooms, friendly staff, outstanding chef. Free parking right outside the door was a big bonus for us.

Nothing really - was class

Super close to the Ado bus station for those travelling around Yacutan. It’s a 7/10 min walk to Centro and all the action. Honestly, so comfortable! We had a pool side room. Food - touch on the fancy side for a couple who after some time travelling around could have welcomed some home comforts (less fancy options - but that was us, not them) Would 100% recommend.

We should have stayed longer..!! The hotel is located in a popular area, but it just adds to the magic of the place.

A jewel in a box... Everything was perfect, the room was very spacious, enormous bed, a lovely terasse with your own hammac. the garden/swimming pool, everything was the right taste.. The cuisine is totally worth it, a refined mix of local and Mexican cuisine. A must!! The staff was very nice and attentive. From our all trip in Yucatan, this was our most memorable place.

No one working on the roof bar. The pool could use a skimmer net. I would have gladly skimmed it myself. Breakfast was delicious but 8 AM to open is late when your coming from the east coast and it 9:00 in your head & tummy. Bedside table had cords running through its top, not a real cover on the table so things fall through it. Kind of a design fail in my opinion.

The property is stunning it reminds me of a Moroccan Ryad. It is so well designed! I loved that from our room we walked out to the roof pool. Staff were super friendly. Our room was gorgeous.

A little out of the way but with a great small cafe (Cafe Lave) close by for a simple quick breakfast and fantastic coffee.

Elegant contemporary decor in a beautifully restored building from 1800s. So many lovely places to lounge. Great staff. Breakfast in the restaurant a delightful way to start day—wish I could start every day of my life that way
