Reviews of Coco Rio Hotel - Mamitas Beach Area

It's a nice location, just of 5th Ave. and a short walk to the beach. It's a nice little hotel that I think is better suited for couples or lone travelers. For those that want to be close the the action and nightlife, this is perfect.

What have been nicet o have a pool, but I knew that when booking, so that's no on them. The front desk has some issue we asking for directions, but nevertheless bery nice.

Location and a fine stay. Supermarket and beach are relatively close

Breakfast is very minimal. Beaches in Playa del Carmen are not so good but hotel can’t change it(sargassum).

Very good location, friendly staff

No parking lot and they don’t have coins to help the clients. It was very difficult to get coins for the meters. Could help a lot if the hotel has them to exchange. Also we got an issue with a leak in the bathroom

I liked the location, only 50 metres to 5th Ave and all the restaurants. The beach was also a short walk from the hotel. The staff were really nice and helpful, everything was clean and very quiet.

The hotel was beautiful, charming.

The night staff informed us that breakfast was included and told us it started at 8am but the next day the morning staff told us it wasn't included and that the cafeteria (at which we would've had a discount was actually closed on Sundays). Of we had known that we wouldn't have waited until 8am to depart for the day

Best value for money. Central location among restaurants and bars. Full hours hotel with daily room service. Helpful staff. Nice room with good A/C. Dim and bright lights are available in room.

Many rules. Missing hooks in bathroom.

Something wrong with electricity During the night TV switched on several times by it own, while I plugged it out. Also some alarm sounds between 3 and 4 am.

The hotel is neat, small, located near the main things

It is impossible to sleep, the pillows are hard, the curtains are transparent, you wake up with the sunrise, the windows are very thin, if you are placed with windows facing the street, the music screams until 4 am, and motorcycles drive around the clock, if your windows overlook the courtyard, you will be woken up in the morning by cleaners, and noisy neighbors. I got room 35, yes, a large suite, with a balcony overlooking the street, it was impossible to sleep, I went down to the reception where the young man was, I asked him to move me (this was from the 23rd to the 24th night), he assured me that all the rooms were occupied, and this could be done the next day, and today sleep as you want, as a result, room 19, which he told me about, was free, and I suffered all night ... why lie? and not help the guest, or are you too lazy to work ?! of course room 19 was a class lower, but there is no need to make guests suffer with your unwillingness to not help and not work! and the next night there was another young man at the reception, his friends came and yelled until one in the morning, until I went down and asked to be quieter. Management, pay attention to your employees who work the night shift, because of such an attitude, the overall feeling of your hotel is spoiled.

Location good. Big rooms

Got a room with a window to the atreet. The sound of the restaurant / bars in front was very loud and I couldn’t sleep. Bathroom was not clean when we arrived, the bin in the bathroom was full of used paper from the previous guest. Toilet was blocked, it couldn’t be flushed. Also , bedroom was not clean because I didn’t hang the sign asking for the room service ( never came across a hotel where you have to hang a sign to have your room cleaned)

Front rooms can get noisy

It was a nice staying in a renovated place! The room was a little bit humid but the air conditioning was working perfectly The position is perfect, quiet and close to the Main Street The receptionists are really nice

The location is amazing. Interior of hotel looks very good. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly as well.

There is no lift and I had to carry my heavy suitcases which was tough. Be aware that parking is street parking and paid from 10 AM to 10 PM. You can pay only for 6 hours in one go and have to extend every 6 hours. So we couldn't leave the car there and go for longer.
