Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Czech RepublicThe front desk didn't speak English, although they advertise it. One light didn't work (flickered), and there were no reading lights by the bed. The water in the sink did not flow well. The shower curtain was rusty. No hangers for drying bathing suits and towels. This is not about the hotel anymore, but the overall stay... Progreso is overall a circus for tourists, so the bars and restaurants play loud music till night and again from 7 in the morning, so sleeping not so great.
Hotel in a good location, a short walk from the beach and with private parking at the back. Simply furnished but the beds with pillows were comfortable. WiFi was OK even on the 2nd floor. Pool small but great for refreshment (and clean). OXXO with good coffee across the street :-)

United StatesThe room was advertised at 5 nights for $35.00 a night but when we were billed through Booking.com it was $50 per night plus tax. The room was clean but basic with tepid water temp at best Had to struggle to open windows, but ac works well. The photo makes it look like it is on the beach but it is one block behind the malecon but closer an Oxxo
Check in was fast. Employees very pleasant and helpful ,room was clean. The location is ok about 6 blocks from the main street so a nice walk. It was very quiet until the weekend but it is a resort town. Fresh bedding and towels every day.

CanadaThe firm beds plus sometimes a double bed it a queen and others it is a double. Or a queen here seems smaller. Once we upgraded we had two beds much better
The pool looked great but the weather was too cool to use it. If you can upgrade you room some beds are very firm and other rooms are better. Just ask and pay an upgrade Location if fantastic half a block the Melecon which is Amazing very well it up and safe

United StatesToo bad one of the beds smelled like pee and towels were not clean. Our family of four slept in same bed. We only booked one night, so we made it work. Otherwise, it would have not worked.
Location was amazing, steps from beach and near restaurants and convenience store. Private parking was great since no public spaces available in afternoon. Safe facility and staff very helpful.

CanadaBed was to small for 2 , pictures are dirty mirror
Got a tiny bed in a corner of the hotel , the doors ribrated and terrible view . We complained and asked for a room with a bigger bed and told that there wasn't any . We didn't even stay overnight, we checked out . They sent up someone to check to see if we took anything from the room , like as if we are thrives. They couldn't care less if we checked out . Later we discovered we left our phone charger in the room . We called and they said it wasn't there , which I know it was , so obviously they are the theives . I wouldn't recommend this place . It used to be a good hotel but not anymore ! Room was dirty too!

United StatesThe price states $50, when you check in, it’s over $60. I showed them a screenshot of my reservation price & they refused to honor it. The worst bed ever! It was a mattress on a concrete slab. I have a bad back so my friend asked for 1 extra pillow for each of us. The blanket was small & thin, without a bedspread, so we asked for an extra blanket. The guy showed up with one pillow & no blanket! I told him again in Spanish. He said tomorrow, & walked out the door!
Its proximity to the beach.

The facilities were very dirty. I booked for 2 nights and we arrived around 7 pm the first night and the room was horrendous. Then they moved us to a new room and we had no option but to take it. The sheets had lots of red stains in the sheets and the shower curtain had red stains also. The floor was dirty and the bed was hard as a rock. We woke up itching. So we decided to leave the place and look for another hotel. Then we mentioned the staff that we would leave and they said that no refund for the second night would be done. After we talked with the manager she decided to refund the second night that we did not stay there. Then she came back and said that she changed her mind. She did not refunded anything after she had agreed to make the refund for the night that we did not stay there. The manager was not helpful at all. And took no responsibility for the higiene of the facilities. Very bad experience.

United StatesI like the ambiance this hotel has its family friendly the pool gets a nice shade due to the surrounding buildings. Oxxo and night street vendors are right out the door and the progreso dinosaur museum is directly in front of it which is really cool, just realized today there is a coffee shop there too. Great place for the price only thing I wish for was a mini fridge but that’s hard to come by around these parts 🙂
