Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Couldn’t stay longer
Stayed here last year and unfortunately I had a package that got delivered to the property after we had left not just Morelia but Mexico! The administrator of El Suburbio has been very helpful and not only tried helping us schedule a delivery but also agreed to hold on to my package until we can get back to Mexico to get it. That’s what we did a few days ago. Our stay was great, just like our first time in Morelia, and my package was waiting for us, safe and sound. Forever grateful to all the help!

Its not only adults, kids do stay here and you can hear them through the walls
Very close to el centro del morelia where the cathedral is at (10 minute walk) also you can also find tons of transportation and tourist attractions. Very clean rooms and also hot water, it has a kitchen upstairs for everyone to use and also a nice rooftop with tables and chairs. Free Wifi and TV with firestick. Oxxo and Guadalajara stores are 5 minutes away just around the corner.

Great staff always able to help, Juanita did a good job A+. Other reason, that is very close to the main square, no car necessary easy access to tours stands locate next to Cathedral to plan excursions

No sound proofing so you do tend to hear everything from other guests
Well located easy walk to the historic centre. Rooms were small and fairly basic but adequate if you are not expecting luxury.

One of the taps was leaking slightly.

Some people might not like that there aren't outside windows in the downstairs rooms, but it does make it easy to sleep!
This is an exceptional property -- even better than some more expensive hotels! The entire property is very clean and all of the workers are very nice and cared so much about our experience. Fernanda and Juanita are wonderful women who really want the guest experience to be excellent. The kitchen is always clean and the terrace is a perfect place to work or hang out.

N/a The place is perfect :)
We have stayed in many places in Mexico but this place really surprised us in a good way: I would definitely call it a hotel but there was also a very nice kitchen with a fridge, a microwave, a stove and all the necessary utensils and pots/pans. The water in the shower could get very hot even at night, the room was spacious enough for me and my husband, and there was a very nice terrace and what has potential for becoming a co-working area. We will definitely stay here again if we ever go back to Morelia

It was a very central location and the staff were friendly and helpful! The rooms were cleaned daily and the room has everything we needed and was very comfortable.

There is no place to have breakfast, there is no parking (I could not find the people in the parking lot recommended by the you), the rooms are all interiors and have no windows, the towels were worn out and the bathroom shelves were deteriorated. Also, there were lots of noise by other guests, and it's heard everywhere.
Rooms are nice, have good furniture and decoration, good TV options. A bit small though. Kitchen and refrigerator available for guests. Good attention although not directly, everything is done through Whatsapp.

Good location, walking distance to everything you want to see or do in central Morelia. The mercado, the cathedral and central square, lots of restaurants nearby. Nice and quiet, comfortable bed. Kitchen available and opportunity to meet other guests.

Nice hotel, no complaints.
Great location, about 6 blocks from Morelia cathedral and walking distance to most historical and arquitectural sites. Warm, friendly and efficient staff and plenty of hot water. Easy access and entry. Very nice for a solo traveller but should work well with couples also.
