Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaEverything was great!
This place is perfect for those who want to get away from it all. Super clean, great staff, excellent food (though a bit on the pricey side), and steps from the beach. Lots of great places to eat nearby as well. View from rooftop restaurant was stunning. Would definitely stay here again.

United StatesWe were there during a few days of rain and there wasn’t anywhere on the rooftop bar/restaurant area with a roof that was covered and provided shelter from the rain, causing us to eat/drink in our room or look elsewhere outside of the hotel for meals.
Beautiful decor and great view from room balcony.

FranceIndustrial design of hotel. Too much grey concrete.
The seaview from the window..more expensive but worth it. The rooftop breakfast area. Easy access to beach. El cuyo has not been over developed. So a great place to stay.

LithuaniaUnfortunately there was no electricity in hotel for half of the day but I do not think this is their fault. Might be in all of the town that there are regular power cutoffs. During that time there was no wifi so we experienced inconvenience During the power cutoff there was diesel generator operating near hotel so it was very loud for half of the day. Breakfast has very minimum variety, it is light so we were looking to eat also somewhere in town. For the price range breakfast variety could be bigger and portions could be larger as well. All in all would still recommend staying here.
Comfortable and cozy hotel. Hotel staff, although not speaking English tried to facilitate and help as much as possible. We enjoyed our stay because it is near the easily accessible beach and has a beautiful view from the top.

NetherlandsOur room was located at the side of the building and had a window without a curtain so expect an early rise.
The hotel was very clean and the bed was big and really comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The balcony with the hammock is a beautiful place to see the sunrise. Would recommend.

United StatesIt was extremely difficult to communicate at the restaurant as the staff spoke only Spanish and I speak only English.
The place is simple and yet very nice. Very close to the perfect beaches in El Cuyo. The views are good. The hammock is very relaxing and the interior design was perfect

United Arab EmiratesFor the location the price is very steep. Further the company uses incorrect conversion rate. They take price in dollars that they advertised online to convert them to MXN pesos, using their own exchange rate. Finally the hotel charges customer's credit card or in cash in MXN pesos. They never charge the amount that is advertised (false advertisement) The conversion rate is 20% higher than official ARO rate in the Mexico City. Therefore the total cost is 20% higher than what is advertised on Booking.com!! In my case instead of paying 17.5MXN to 1 USD the rate was 19.5 to 1 USD

United StatesI have food allergies and I could not eat anything on the breakfast menu. I was glad I brought my own food. Also no access to a mini fridge anywhere to keep my own food or medications. Not even a rental. And no ice for coolers. I’m hoping that improves so I can go back again.
Loved the rooms, the lobby, the decor.

United StatesInternet a bit spotty at times in room, but good on roof. Pool area could be spruced up a bit - there was a random wooden table, shade umbrellas were in not-cute concrete blocks. Would love a mini-fridge in room to be able to have cold water.
I LOVED my stay here. The room was simply beautiful - bed comfortable, design details like lighting were lovely, AC worked well, terrace was equipped with hammock. I liked the open shower and appreciated that the toilet had a door. Staff friendly and kind. View from rooftop pool area beautiful and the restaurant was also great. Chose lake view room knowing it was in the back of building away from main road, which based on past experience I knew could be loud once in a while (like Semana Santa) and it was perfect with a nice view and felt very private. Drinking water provided. Have stayed at several hotels in El Cuyo and so far this is my favorite all-around for the rooftop pool, room design and location near main kiting area.

MexicoThe room had very, very poor lighting and was minimal supplied and equipped. No television. No coffee maker. No mini fridge. The soap, shampoo, conditioner were in pump dispensers, which I understand costs less and is better for the environment, but please fill them! Our soap and shampoo were out upon arrival and not filled any of the days we were there, luckily we brought a bar of soap. No safe. No hair dryer. It was like they built it and forgot to go get the basics that almost every other hotel has, especially a "boutique" hotel.
Great location. Not on the beach but a very short and direct walk to the beach. The bed was very comfortable. The staff at the bar and restaurant were great. The food was very good, try the short rib tacos, amazing.

PortugalThe WiFi in my room is terrible and I've never had a good connection. As for breakfast, it's a complete joke! It would have been better if they didn't offer breakfast at all, rather than serving the horrible coffee and providing very few options. It's really disappointing to have to wait for such a terrible breakfast, when there are so many lovely cafes around El Cuyo. On the first morning, we had breakfast at the hotel, but we didn't go back for the second morning. Instead, we went to the NAIA Cafe just a few meters away and had an amazing cappuccino, croissant, and cakes. Overall, the hotel is nice, but the WiFi and breakfast are a letdown.
Lovely room with a good large bed. We stayed with the room with lake view that had a super nice balcony with hammock. Staff are very friendly and always smiling.
