Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThere were only a few minor things that might be turn offs for those who are paying full price and have higher expectations as a result. The property is just a touch shabby in some places (a couple missing tiles in the pool, toilet made a weird noise when flushing). It was a little tough getting dinner reservations (i.e. they filled up fast), so I had to make an effort to get to the reservation office early to eventually try everything I wanted. Maybe this is normal at resorts, though. As a single adult, I don't think the evening entertainment was anything to write home about, but the families and kids seemed to like the performances. This is one of those places where the toilet is behind a glass door instead of a regular door, so I probably would not feel like I had enough privacy if I'd been sharing my room.
I have to preface this by saying I got my room at a deep discount as part of some kind of Booking.com flash sale, so my expectations were probably not a high as somebody paying full price. First, I don't agree with the people saying the staff were rude! Everyone was very courteous and professional. The only issue I had was trying to wave down servers for drinks when I ate at the buffet restaurant, but that was very minor and didn't impact my enjoyment. Second, I enjoyed the food at every restaurant. Thinking back, I can't recall a single meal that was bad (the buffet was also very good). Everything was yummy. Third, the location was good for me: only about 20 minutes (in moderate traffic) north of the airport. I could easily visit the towns farther north and still easily go to Puerto Vallarta proper to the south. Fourth, Wi-Fi connection was always good. Fifth, I could always find a chair at the pool or on the beach. Lastly, it's a fairly small property, so everything was a short walk from me, even in the tower farthest away from the beach.

CanadaThe pictures including the one attached to this survey imply that they are showing the hotel buildings but they are not they are show private residences. This implies the resort is bigger than it is. The partial lake view room had no view at all unless you leaned over the balcony and looked to the left. This is false advertising, when combined with pictures of the resort, left us to pay another $1,000 to get a descent room.

Canadaour room was dirty upon arrival, westjet cancelled flight first day and we still had to pay room fee. Our door to room was out the back of the kitchen so you could smell grease. Only main pool is warm enough to get into, other 2 were freezing. Dont pay extra for ocean view unless they put we on top floor. We paid for ocean view and were on 2nd floor, couldnt see it at all. No I would not go back. Bring your own coffee mugs to cafe , there cups are super tiny.
We enjoyed the food and the service. ( sushi was not good ) It was really close to the beach. Having a hot jet tub on balcony was nice.

United StatesIt was complete false advertising. 3/4 of the pictured buildings belongs to the residential apartments. Hotel has only 2 furthest sections. One of them is completely behind the other. So no sea view. All-inclusive is not what would you will expect. They will put dirty mats on the stairs to sit and watch evening shows. A lot of people that don’t belong to the hotel but rent apartments and are on all common areas- pools, lobby etc. i absolutely do not recommend you visiting this hotel. All windows are facing the common space meaning you won’t be able to sleep until evening shows is ended. And you will hear all the sounds of loading/unloading to the restaurants starting 6am. Absolutely wasted time and money with this Wyndham Allarta hotel

MexicoI want to formally complain about the unacceptable experience I experienced here in Alltra -Vallarta. The manager Alejandro Arriaga didn´t resolve any of the issues during my stay. I requested to scale the situation to the next level with Raymundo Moral but Alenadro didn´t give me the contact or the email. Following short list of the situation faced: - The reservations using booking.com was really bad. The tool requested to me to renew the payment several times. - The room is not optimal clean, I just remarked on the television as an example. After 3 days of the same situation, I preferred to clean it by my own. - I asked for room service at 11pm and the response was that this request is with an extra charge. Just to remark that a customer who paid all-inclusive service slept with hungry. - No hot water to take a shower in the morning - The closet door doesn't work - No internet, about 12 hours without internet - I requested the bottle of water from the frigo bar at 9am and the bottle never arrived I waited until 2 pm and no water arrived. I request support from the concierge. No actions were taken, just mentioned that she requested and that's it. (just to remark on another case with the same customer who paid all-inclusive thirsty). - The air conditioning never worked, the temperature stayed at 25.5 - I asked for a room service around 10:30am and at 12:30pm never arrived. I called to lobby and the person who attended me mentioned that his name was Carlos Nava. When I went personally to the lobby his name was Ariel. The Manager Alejandro arrived and He didn´t support me. He just requested the order again without any solution or any interest of the overall situation. the surprise is the security arrived very fast (what efficiency of this and not providing a solution to the customer). Another case with a customer who paid all-inclusive hungry).
the most redeeming thing was the food

United StatesThe food was sub-par at all on-site locations. In addition, the building was in disrepair; many items were broken or not working. The different restaurants were very generic and needed more ambiance. This resort could have been much better. We talked with other guests who said the same thing and said they would never return again. It is too expensive, and there are many better options in that area to stay at this location. VERY DISAPPOINTING!

United StatesThe food was just average, most of the restaurants boasted of great food but underdelivered. Very bland. Please note that we have been coming to PV for over 20 years totaling 15 times already and stayed at all kinds of All inclusive's for the price we paid after experiencing this past 8 days, paying another $500.00-$1,000.00 for Secrets, Hard Rock Dreams or Eldorado would have been worth it because that's about what we paid for food and drinks outside of the resort.

United StatesDirty, food was beyond gross, TV didn't work in the hotel, hot water was not consistent. So dirty. The bed was uneven, the foot of the bed was about a foot higher than the head of the bed. We did not stay more than 1 night. We checked out the next morning, and still had to pay the full cost of the stay. We booked another hotel that was amazing. Do not go here

United StatesIf you are looking for a “fun All Inclusive Resort” this is not it. You are Not allowed drinks in the pool at all. No food service at the pool. Half the resort was actually long term condos and the people there mingled at the same pools and they were not looking to have a good time with vacationers. So the pool atmosphere was extremely low key. Staff took our personal and hotel towels when we were gone too long even though everyone was reserving a lounge chair! You MUST line up every morning if you want reservations for dinner. And you will wait a long time if you don’t. They open and shut restaurants all day so you MUST plan your food or you will go hungry in between. The best pool was by the beach and was an infinity pool unfortunately it was the coldest pool and we never got in it! The room was so so however the AC was loud and clacked and eventually the vent screen fell off the ceiling. The shower tile was old and cracked and looked like mold. Every restaurant played extremely loud music. Even during nice dinners.
Our pool side server Gustavo was awesome. Lunch and dinner food was good. Our room had a nice view.
